Pakistani's are like deer in front headlights (tourists/guests) our inner hosts gets forced out... enjoy the trip and do take Ash for traditional cloth shopping and urself too try shalwar kameez... keep healthy, safe and happy travelling

Amazing food. Have seen enough of old walled city of Lahore. Pls show us the modern part of the city as well. I want to see that. I heard alot of praise about that. Pls upload that too.
I have not seen the modern part but normally it refers to new construction and malls etc. Don't think foreigners and youtubers will be interested in it as modern side don't form the part of culture and history.
Next stop is a new city! We prefer the more historic parts of the cities as modern places don’t have the same culture usually 👍
@AshAndDan. I agree, but many TH-camrs are only uploading from old Walled City, but no one shows the more modern and more developed part of the city. Many viewers would like to see that part of the city as well, I believe.
@ex_hindu_buddhist Yes, India is underdeveloped, and people are very poor compared to Pakistan.
The odd thing is that the people of Pakistan are well off, but the government is poor.

Yes, that’s how it is in the actual Lahore, aka walled city. They start after the dawn prayer, around 5. The twin cities of Lahore and Amritsar have had this tradition since Sikh times, i.e having breakfast outside.
The halva puri was one of the most delicious things! Breakfast foods were amazing!

You do know they are available in the UK especially in Birmingham, Bradford, Leeds, Manchester, Derby, Slough, Luton, Nottingham, Sheffield, Coventry, London - basically where there is a large Pakistani community
We expected the street food to do that BUT it was actually the chicken karahi at Haveli that made Dan sick! 😅
@@AshAndDan. Now that was a bit unexpected. Sometimes I would avoid eating chicken, lamb and beef when I go abroad as I would stick to vegetarian dishes and snacks
Yeah we were both surprised too 😂 agree with you about avoiding meat. Ash has been veggie for around 6+ years so usually always avoids meat but she does eventually give into trying meat in Pakistan (in our future videos)
@@AshAndDan. I think Grilled food on skewers are generally fine but I would probably avoid meat dishes. Pakistan serves great vegetarian dishes too so Ash will be fine there. I have only been to Pakistan once even though I'm a British born and bred with Pakistani heritage so I know all about Pakistani/Indian food as I have it almost daily but I am hoping to travel to Pakistan again in the near future - that is after I have done other places that are on my bucket list (Croatia, Albania, Costa Rica, South Korea) . Like you guys, I have travelled more than 35 to 40 countries (including India and Pakistan and another 20 countries in Asia alone) and half of them more than once

In karachi( Sindh side) people mostly eat nihari at night. But in Punjab side as breakfast .

"Nihari " literally means "morning " I.e its a breakfast dish. It's cooked all night and eaten in the morning .
Nahari was always eaten in the morning as it's such a rich dish. But with different ethnic groups coming to Karachi and it becoming more common nahari is eaten both in the morning and in the evening.
@@erumrahms7142 This is true for Panjab as well. There are plenty of restaurants in Lahore that serve nihari and paaey for breakfast as well as dinner.

Selam, do you guys also plan on travelling to Iran? Also, how do you view the garbage and other issues? Doesn’t it bother you, coming from the UK?
We would love to visit Iran but it will be a future trip for sure! It’s sad sometimes seeing how people throw garbage around the streets (we witnessed this a lot) it feels frustrating when we come from a smaller country where recycling is so common and seeing bigger countries just don’t really care ☹️

When you see Lahore, you will see Islamabad and Gujrat. I want you to visit a village in Gujrat
We are no longer in Pakistan but thank you for sharing, we visit a village in the North of Gilgit Baltistan which we will share a vlog on ❤️
Gilgit baltistan is located in pakistan occupied Kashmir,it is a very beautiful place lot of Shephard you would get their ,you should visit those places where you get a river which separate both India and Pakistan Kashmir two country soldiers roam there to do security on bridge , etc
Lahore has most amazing food places and centuries old places to eat but if only they can clean it little better and make it more tourist friendly from government side , same places would generate millions for the public and government from tourism.
I feel like the places we went to were pretty good for cleanliness… we have seen many other places a lot less clean. However I do agree as some tourists get very ill from eating the street food and that will be due to bad hygiene
The hospitality in Pakistan is next none, nowhere in the world will you go sit have a meal, you go to pay and its been paid for cause you are a guest in the country , wonderful I wish uk was like that have a great time guys I would love to know which country out of the 100 visited has more hospitalty, culture and amazing food!!!!
