    I come here almost every day to remind myself that I can do this. I'm in the phase where I'll be positive and pain will be low, then if the pain starts to come back I can feel myself slipping into despair and I've been getting better about allowing the pain to happen and not freaking out. It's incredible to hear these stories and thank you for posting them.

    Again - so good, these conversations are so helpful. I have had two counsellor people say to me recently "It's not your fault" - end of sentence, but that doesn't get in my head ---Why is it not my fault? How do you know it's not my fault? Prove to me it's not my fault. I have been telling myself this CFS and Fibro I have had for 2O years is somehow my fault, that I am innately faulty, or somehow deserving of this illness. When you say, Dan: "It's not your fault - IT"S JUST WHERE YOU LANDED !" Now, that makes sense to me. Thank you so much for sharing so much for free.

      @@morningwithgracie7870 I'm so sorry to hear of your suffering. It's unfortunate that doctors prescribe Benzo medications so readily. It's vital to be overseen by a physician when tapering off those meds. Know you can do it and the TMS principles can help you along with the way. The other diagnoses you describe (POTS, Fibromyalgia, IC, CFS, brain fog, insomnia and others) are classic TMS symptoms, generated by a stressed and scared brain. Do what you can to soothe your brain and nervous system, attend to your emotions with self-compassion and regain a sense of safety. Keep watching Dan's videos everyday! I wish you the very best.

      8 months ago my nervous system was switched way on (F&F) and the sensations were quite intense. (groin, hip, leg, foot, glute) I had numerous other stuff too. I was almost in a wheelchair- but when I began understanding the science and how important clarity was, the symptoms decreased by about 25%. But the brain was still very much afraid of the pain while walking, so the sensations stuck around for awhile. But I persisted with the consistent messages of safety (Dan’s group helped immensely).
      Now I’m about 90% improved. The best thing is that my brain doesn’t fear the pain anymore, and I feel like I’m back in control. It’s been a trippy process, and I’ve learned so much. 🥳

      Hi! The knowledge that I was okay and my symptoms were not an accurate reflection of danger was HUGE. Somatic tracking and other somatic meditations were also pivotal to process emotions and reconnect with my body in a safe way. I did a little bit of expressive writing too. Then it was really about challenging my triggers, doing activities that brought on symptoms with mindfulness and not giving into the fear!

    Hi, I was diagnosed with central sensitization syndrome after an adverse reaction to immunizations and developed chronic pain and many , many other symptoms. This was 7 months ago. I found this channel and am feeling so empowered and hopeful! I am on a benzodiazepine taper while doing my healing journey and am looking for a therapist who does pain reprocessing therapy as well as learning about this all. Will I be able to heal while doing my benzo taper? I am working on healing my central sensitization, anxiety and other symptoms that come from my overactive nervous system. I am also doing an online empowered pain mastery course that does a lot of somatic tracking, gradual exposure to activity again and learning new neural pathways.

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you can still recover while tapering from meds. Try not to make this your full time job. KNOW you are well and teach your brain that fact. Your nervous system is not broken. It is just very sensitive. Once your brain believes you are safe, the nervous system will settle itself on it's own. You can and will get well.

However I have a lot of time on my hands so I’ve been reading about and exploring all of this so that I heal. I appreciate this, as I’ve been told my nervous system is in overactivation mode. Western medicine is clueless about the mind body connection as one, I’m surprised these holistic “healers” can’t find the connection either.
    So many people are suffering because they refuse do any research into tms. When I had back pain years ago I spent many hours researching my pain and cause, then luckily I just happened to stumble upon Sarno’s book and work. Read all of them and then some others and this was when it was not popular. Since then I always recommend the books to my friends suffering, they look at me like I’m on drugs, most don’t consider him until they have exhausted and failed at every other treatment.

    Is there no room here for holistic means? Although the brain is at play for sure, I would hesitate to dismiss the fact that nutrition might help especially the way people eat today. No?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Eating well for overall nutrition is obviously a good thing. However, I have spoken to tons of people who became so fearful of the "wrong foods" that they ended up eating three foods and still never got better. Food is absolutely important, but depending on the symptoms you are trying to resolve, it may have limited impact as TMS means the BRAIN is creating the symptoms and the body is fine.

      My heart goes out to you Safirezebabe. I was told that viruses were suppressing my immune system and had invaded my brain. That scared me even more and kept me locked in a cycle of symptoms. Know that you can recover! I've since learned from Dr. Howard Schubiner that titers of Epstein-Barr and other viruses are only indicators or past exposure. They measure harmless antibodies. Many asymptomatic people have Epstein-Barr and other viruses commonly associated with CFS/ME. Don't let the doctors scare you. You want to take charge of your health and life! Find your self-empowerment and faith in your own innate resilience. Watch Dan's videos and consider his course. Then do whatever brings you a little energy and peace as often as possible every single day. You can feel well again! It starts by learning the TMS knowledge, allowing your emotions and sensations as they are, stepping out of fear and finding more enjoyment right where you are.

      Because that is a disease with many different causes. TMS/Perceived danger pain, by definition means the body is okay. While there is definitely a role for calm and peace in cancer patients, my suggestions are NOT a cure for cancer.
      They are two different things.
