I don't get why the foreign media keeps on talking to this guy. He is irrelevant now. He thought he would be an autocrat forever reigning over Afghanistan with indefinite American support. But, when the stings of democracy started to bite his very thin skin, he turned bitter against the West. He is now a happy Taliban supporter and actually working for them no doubt. He talks about Western failure but the failure is his own. And he simply cannot see this. Doesn't have the intelligence to see it. The West was there for nothing but to provide him with help and he could not use that help because of his own shortcomings. It's that simple. He is a bitter old man who turned into an enemy of the West. So it would be wise to leave him alone :)

The US can only give Afghanistan the tools and the resources. The people of Afghanistan, the government of Afghanistan has to be willing to accept the burden of defending their territory.
I'm not saying pulling the plug this fast is a good idea, but the government of Afghanistan had a solid 15 years to step up to the plate.

But the terrorist network have sanctuaries & safe heavens in Pakistan where they were hiding jihadis Alqaeda Taliban Haqani terror network for ages. The US allies were bombing Afghan villages while OBL was living in ISI Punjabi Army National De fence Academy kakul Abottabad next to Islamabad. Karzai is a fanatic at heart … he legitimized extremists groups and personalities at expense of NATO forces and international communities humanitarian intention / work. Reasons: he’s slimy and has always sided with Taliban / Daesh (simply because the majority of them are his tribesmen). That’s why his kinds / gangs refuse to define ‘the enemy’ … and that’s why extremism is on the rise in Afghanistan. So much efforts and sacrifices in vain. Imagine the pain of mothers whose sons and daughters died in the line of duty in Afghanistan.

Both Ghani and Karzai should be put in front lines to defend their country if they're truly Afghans

It's so unfortunate that neighboring "muslim" countries like Iran and Pakistan always played a very small role in bringing peace to Afghanistan. All they want to do is take in refugees and then ask rest of the world for aid. That is morally unethical business but it pays. This has been going on for several decades and will continue like that. Next we have China taking a chance through trade, most likely they will succeed as everyone gets a chance to make money.
