We created the Skin Utility Gel Multi-Purpose Skin Protectant to offer skin protection in a water-based lightweight gel.
Our Skin Utility Gel contains 20% glycerin as the API, an ingredient that can be found in both cosmetics and OTC products. At a cosmetic level it can be a humectant keeping skin hydrated and plumped to improve skin texture and appearance while soothing irritated skin. When used between 20-45% and purified for USP grade, glycerin can function as an API in OTC skin protectants. It supports the skin’s barrier function protecting it against wind, cold dry climate, and pollution. It prevents phase transition of the stratum corneum lipids to minimize transepidermal water loss and also creates a moisture reservoir in the skin.
Formulated with 20% glycerin, a 5% Vitamin B Complex, and our bioactive soothing complex, our Skin Utility Gel helps alleviate discomfort, irritation and dryness to reestablish a healthier skin barrier.

Honestly, I can see that I’ll be able to get rid of most high priced skincare in my routine thru prequel & a few other faves. I consider it a personal victory to buy everything at the lowest price for the best results. I just fell in love with prequel …literally 10 mins ago. The relief feels so good!!

This gel has been the most transformative skincare product I have found in recent years. I have very oily skin, and due to that I find it very difficult to find products that feel like they are actually absorbing into my skin. Usually even the lightest moisturizers just sit on top, but not this one! It's so soothing and doesn't leave a shiny, reflective look to my skin, and it doesn't make me oilier as the day progresses. And I absolutely love the smell, something in the raw ingredients smells so pleasant!
This product truly is so unique!! I LOVE it and I think it’s going to be my first ever skincare empty!

I am 53 and all of a sudden I have developed a red area around my nose and on my chin. I have super sensitive skin and it just wouldn't heal (it's hard to find products to deal with that without bothering my skin more). I bought this last month and use this on those spots day and night. It soaks into my skin and it immediately feels so much softer. I had no irritation at all from this. I've used other brands but those seem to be petroleum based and do zero fory skin. I can put this on (only takes a small dot to do the whole area), and on 12 to 15 minutes, my skin is ready to apply my makeup. I'll never stop using this product. I have a few more things and have some more things I want to try for my irritable skin.

My skin gets very dry and itchy in the winter. Since I started using the Gleanser as my body cleanser (in addition to Prequel moisturizer), I have not had any issues with dry, itchy skin! I love this skin care line!

lol I just got my 1st products, literally ~5 minutes ago, just applied for the first time and am definitely going to want backups & this new gel!! I am already pretty sure that the barrier therapy cream will be the perfect inbetween my Gold Bond & my ole Henricksen, and I’m thinking I’ll eventually be able to replace ole with Sam lol! Love OH but am loving prequel already and the price is much better! As a resident of the scrub prairie, my skin thanks the whole prequel team!

I just bought the ointment. The gel sounds better for warmer weather. And more breathable. The ointment can make me sweaty and thick in skin. Still better than petroleum jelly or Cerave.

I'm intrigued...I have a question about the hand product. Is it a moisturizer in itself? or something to put on after a moisturizer to seal in the product? Also, just a minor point but when I get a notification of a new video from you I always get it twice at the same time.
It’s both a moisturizer and it creates a seal on the skin. It doesn’t need to be layered with anything!

I have dry and acne prone skin and eczema. I love your moisturizers for my body, but I feel they might be comedogenic on my face. Are you planning on coming out with a moisturizer without shea butter/ a gel cream? Thanks! 🙏

My skin feels sensitized in the mornings (likely from previous night's treatment (I usually use a low percent retinal)), so I'm wondering if I could use this in place of my night moisturizer to reduce potential sensitivity? I'm worried that it might occlude my retinal too much causing even more sensitivity? Can you advise?

If I use this on my face, would this go on after tretinoin? Or before? Or does it matter?
If you use it under, Tret might go in deeper. Not bad if you can handle it. If you are starting out you can add it on top once completely dry.
Can this be used on the face daily? If so when would you apply this in order of other items in your line? I have ordered just about everything in your line and love all the products!
Aw thank you! Yes absolutely can be used daily. In the morning it would go right after vitamin C! In the evening you can layer it under or over your moisturizer (or use it as a moisturizer on its own if you don’t need anything heavier!)

I know you said you don't recommend it around the lips due to taste, but is it safe otherwise? I've tried many occlusives on my lips but they still feel dehydrated, so I've been wanting to try a humectant-rich protectant at some point
The ointment is my go to for on the lips. I apply it before bed and wake up with soft lips. I LOVE it! It’s also nice during the day. I just got the gel and I agree with her that it tastes pretty gross. You can still use it but I’d recommend at night since you can still taste it after it’s dry.
Can you use it on top of retinol/retinoid?
tbh i really wish this were 100ml for the price. i like gels under sunscreen but i tend to fly through them. not sure i can justify purchasing this for the price per mL

For the love of everything that is good- can we please stop putting niacinamide in EVERYTHING. I was so excited for this until I saw it contained niacinamide. That ingredient stings the heck out of my skin and irritates it. I cannot use anything with niacinamide including face cleansers. Why must we put it in every single serum, moisturizer, cream, spf, etc!! Makes me so sad.
