There was a TV series not too long ago called "Bates Motel", based on this movie series, a modern day re-telling/prequel,; it wasn't bad at all, might be worth a run.
I like 3 but I like 4 better . Key flash backs and an end to the franchise and for Norman youll be happy and satisfied with Pretty good first attempt at being a director . His son is a director now. His most recent film , LONGLEGS ( 2024 )
Psycho 4 is imo is even better than 2 and 3 . It's a prequel and goes back and forth between past and present . It was made especially for the Showtime channel in the early 90's .
4 is by far the worst one, but still enjoyable for a conclusion to the story. It was a cheap TV movie. I can see the argument that some might like it better than 3, but Psycho 2 is literally one of best sequels of all time.
There's a shot for shot remake of the original 'Psycho' made in 1998 that is really very good, under-appreciated imo. But definitely worth a look. Thx for the reaction as usual, take care...

Another great performance by Scarwid is in Silkwood, an underrated film

As much as i agree Psycho 2 is underrated, i think this is too. I'm glad i wasn't the only one to recommend this to you.
