Legend has it theres a "Gothic King Cobra" A.k.A "Boglim" that calls Casper home....that prob should be mentioned, for better or worse. Now, it's been said before that The Boglim realllllly enjoys Alcohol and performing "Beer Tricks" you may even see him outside a local business showing the affects of overconsumption.....I think that the Lore of the Jord himself is what makes Casper Wyoming so great, maybe you'll cross paths, and can get your hands on a Wand and some Tactical Soap.......signed.

We moved to Casper, WY. 11 months ago. I have zero complaints about the city or the state....ZERO....That's right, ZERO Complaints. Yeah, there's the wind and cold weather to deal with, but what out weighs those two factors is the people. The people here are extraordinary! The people here truly are caring, giving, respectful, tough, proud hard working class Americans. If you can say that you're Wyoming tough, you have truly said something that has valued meaning that the rest of this country wouldn't be able to understand or comprehend. The high quality of life, respect for law and order, everyday freedoms that have been stolen from Americans in other states is protected here in Wyoming! (cough cough 2nd Amendment cough cough). And the best one is, the Great Since of American Pride And Patriotism that the people of not only the city of Casper, WY. have, but the whole darn state has!. These great life factors out weigh those 2 weather issues and makes them a ZERO Factor for me and my family.

Hello Alisha, I loved the video. Having moved to Casper myself back in 1992, I can safely say that this city is my forever home♥️ I love the people and the feel of the city, and the hiking trails are wonderful. Back in the summer of 2004 I was involved in a hit and run incident killing a bicyclist named Brian Michaels while driving West on the 220 by the Pathfinder refuge. I came round a bend and he was heading directly towards me. I found his mangled body by the field and I found his wallet and discovered his name. I never told anybody. I love Casper, Wyoming, some of the best horse trails I've seen in my day. Anyways, go bulldogs!!

Caspar was on my short list to retire to. The winds. Oh my God! You cant even stand up in 80 mph winds. I can take the cold when retired as i dont have to wear my business suits and dress shoes. I can wear insulsted boots and thick Carhartt jackets. But when i couldn't even open the car door with the winds pushing it shut, i had to pass. But i like caspar. Friendly people. Less cost of living. No income tax. I love downtown. No homeless bums. Good clean streets and neighborhoods. No ethnic restaurants though. Shopping is ok for basics. But no Nordstroms or more affluent stores. I woukd love to be able to literally fish in the river flowing right through town. Love Tauberts for western wear and boots. But i retired to southern central Idaho so im only 1.5 days away by car.

I am 67 years old and have lived in SW Idaho 64 years of my life. The Boise area has been totally ruined for many native Idahoans. My wife and I want OUT of here! The 'Californication' of Idaho is real. Idaho will never be the same. My wife and I looked at Montana in 2015. We looked at Wyoming last September. We loved the Casper area. I found the Casper people friendly; particularly when they found we were not Californians. We would move to Casper today if the Boise real estate market was still booming. But now it is headed into the tank and will not doubt get much worse in '23. Casper reminds me of the Boise of my childhood. It's a beautiful small city. Maybe someday....

If I move to Casper, WY, can I go to the DMV, and basically hand them my drivers license, and the DMV will hand me over a WY license, after I pass the eye exam? I have a clean driving record. I hate taking tests of any kind and I am curious how this works. Oh, my wife and I are interested in a Townhouse. I hope Casper has a few to choose from. Hopefully under the $250,000.00 range. It would be a cash deal with NO financing. We're sick of yard work since we are Seniors, and want to coast in life now enjoying our retirement. Thanks.

I live in Huntington, West Virginia. Like Casper, it's a small town with a big city feel. The thing is, Huntington has a lot more problems. There's a big drug problem here and more and more blighted neighborhoods are cropping up. West Virginia is very oppressive when it comes to taxes. Also, the summers here are suffocating. Never once have I've seen a pay forward in Casper. The job market is what it has been retail/fast food (low income) or oil field/shop work. Not saying there's not work here, but your average "above" Joe shouldn't up and move to Casper. She's saying there's mountains no we have a hill with a small ski resort lots of ice most of the year. (Cause of the wind and weather) if you don't like watching your neighbors during winter find a new hobby. Y'all can drink, go too zero "clubs" and wait patiently for summer, then get bombarded by out of state fishermen on the river, I mean it's a armada of drift boats. Last I checked there's 150 plus fishing guides in a town of maybe 80k-100k. Now that's a good job being a fishing guide 500 to take some la folks down a over bend for a day. The hunting is trash unless you want small antelope. We have one skate park 🤣 good for maybe six months pushing it. You like golfing in the wind? Swimming pools trash, seriously it almost took a decade after the 1% tax was imposed before we even got the bike paths it was sold as, we got more police just baiting in cars for the 1%. I get your game, your in real estate. Totally get it but honestly if you're trying to attract spenders, Riverton is a better spot. Close to the wind rivers, ughh I love the wind rivers, and I hate the Californication, but be real with the people you're attracting. Casper is literally the center of a shit hole.. The outer edges are better if you can afford it.

This is a Sunshine Video, Painting Pretty pictures about how great Wyoming is , and Casper is, nothing could be farther from the truth, Casper is often Ranked as one of the Worst places in Wyoming, to live. With it's Sky High Unemployment, Crazy Expensive Cost of Living, and its Crime rates steadily rising, it is not so great as this pretty lady claims, Realtors often try to Create Fluff Video's like this to try and Lure people to them , and the Area, This is called Realtor Created Hype, She Paints lots of pretty pictures about living in Casper, Be very careful, when viewing these Video's Casper has been on the Decline for Years, Its an Old Oil Refinery and Railroad Town, I have been there many times over the years, and usually driving faster when I leave than when I drove into Casper. Lots of Cons and Scams go on, Especially with new comers, that dont know any better, Realtors are trying to sell you a product and will say and do anything to achieve that, Dont fall for it. Do your own Investigation, go to the City look around spend a few days there, dont rely on what someone tells you, The Oli and Gas Markets as well as The Coal Industries have but completely crashed, as this country moves towards green energy, and thousands of good paying jobs went away Poof ! For good. The Downtown Area is old, Drab and nothing but Tourist Stores, and Fast Food Restaurants. Drunk Driver's are a Huge problem in Casper, There are many much better places to live than Casper, Wyoming.

We live in the Lake Tahoe area of Nevada and unfortunately we had a huge influx of Californians move in and drive our market up. Our home went from 230k to 860k in one year. Before covid hit we were looking for hundreds of acres and we’re outbid by the dumbifornians every time. We gave up. Now we’re looking at Wyoming but we need to be at least an hour within a city for our business. We’re used to the wind, cold etc.. I don’t care what anyone says about the wind in Wyoming, our area is known for its wind so much so the Alaska national guard flies down every year for a month to train in it and our challenging terrain. They say it’s colder here than Alaska which I laughed at but they were serious. I’m a pilot. But for real, the next year we’re moving. We absolutely hate where we live now thanks to California.

Casper? 60+ year old strippers, faded tattoos, 100+ mph winds, Nepalese mafia, undsoweiter. Wyoming in general is nothing but a gigantic drug distribution center, with few people and lots of cows. It would be a better place if it wasn't so awful.

I have lived here a lot longer and find a lot in the video laughable. I remember just a few yrs ago there was an article in the Journal that highlighted a very well done study how Casper was rated like 26 th out of 28 or 29 counties as the worst in quality of life , yrs cut off of life, poor social life, and quality of life.
I lived in Boulder I’n 2016-17 and was forced to move back after being ripped off on a home sale, I should have got out of it first then moved, thank you Casper for ruining my at the time dream. Why is it I always find my self going to Colorado or California for real culture, IE farmers markets, gardening conferences that are world renowned.
My other life path that I live for is skateboarding and Longboarding, I fought for yrs to get decent skateparks here, now they have been either bulldozed or are in dire need of repair.
This town has always treated skateboarding as a 3rd class citizen affair.
I find my self in Colorado, Montana and California for real skate culture and acceptance.
A local church cult has ruined and divided our skate scene,, even more reason to go elsewhere.
I’m thankful that we have Natural grocers here, Walmart and Albertsons and the rest are corporate machines that destroy small. Businesses.
I can say with all honesty that Boulder is way ahead in culture local food ect.
I also find my self going to Colorado for concerts because 95% or more of bands I like don’t play here.
As for people that’s a very mixed bag, I have a small circle of cool people, but have been persecuted and harassed for decades by those hostile to diversity or just being different.
Casper has had a long-standing Meth problem since the 1980s, as for housing I have had to move 7 or 8 times since I came back in 2017 trying to find a decent place, it gets worse with every move, why is that ? Good housing is lacking badly, lots of dumps and meth neighborhoods, there are nicer places but they are not vacant or are non affordable.
As to weather, I count about 3-4 months as decent, the winters have all but ruined my health.
I only hope to find a way out in winter at least!
As I write this 50 65 mph winds make it miserable.beyond belief.
No indoor skate park, no farmers market worth a damn. Just sit and watch skating skills deteriorate along with mental state.
Gardening and skating in summer are the only things that keep sanity in reach.
The one good thing is the resistance to overbearing COVID measures.
Too bad it takes something like this to draw people here.
I have a lot of decades of experience here and have a perspective outsiders can’t even fathom. If they want to escape COVID measures, I sympathize, it is NOT the utopia this video portrays.
I can’t wait for the next road trip out to experience real culture.
Too many traumatic experiences fuel the need to get out.

Sounds as if a lot of your issues are created by your own self-loathing, plenty of culture, and opportunity in casper. we do need an indoor skate park but there is plenty of longboarding and good skate boarding in casper i know because I've been kicking a board since the 80s we used to have a excellent music seen which has been lacking for a few years now and if you believe that Boulder is better your obviously a soy drinking lib
