- This early 2000s MRE has been through it! It came from a lot that was stored in a hot garage and eventually sold at an estate sale. 'Heat-stressed' is an understatement for the condition of the food in this kit. The Meal Ready To Eat is famous for its shelf life, but this Vegetable Burger was TOAST! Somehow, the Brownie survived, and it was insanely delicious. One of the best ration items ever.

We ALWAYS put the main INSIDE the heater bag . And then fold top over to seal in heat .

@@ReadinessRations or the salt in the FRH is a myth? It's a fundamental property of the chemical reaction, and if there isn't enough salt in the original FRH pack...well adding more will work. Antidotally I've used it on several packs and seen an immediate increase in the reaction.
@@ReadinessRations hey what causes the numbness in the mouth? I've had old MREs but I've never had numbness. None have been this old though.

The salt in the FRH is a myth brother. It's right up there with the left handed screwdriver.
Why not pee on the sun turtle while you're at it? All you have to do is draw the turtle and then pee on it and the rain goes away.
