I've been documenting my journey with the mantis v2 since January when I been using it to commute! Amazing beast and all the issues I've had has been fixed by the vendor. Getting PMT soon so I'll be hitting turns faster!
2:05 yup, my worst gripe with my one, a thumb throttle would be a vast improvement.
Great review👍
what is the helmet you have sitting on your desk?
What would be your pick between the mantis v2 and the punk rider pro?
Better then the splash titan(lighting)
Hi. Is there any chance you could test the Kukirin G2Max scooter? It's somewhat of a competitor to the Mantis V2. I'm really curious to know what you think about the G2Max
kugoo is a bad brand. they don’t even design it. better go for kaabo, dualtron or vsett.
@@MrMcdonaldsNuggets How do you know its bad, if you never try?
@@Alexnagy850 i had kugoo g3 and g2 max, kugoo is bad because they don’t design their e scooters but they take chinese e scooters and put their logo on them. Also, their e scooters are all cheap because inside of their e scooters, the controllers are cheap and everything else, that’s why these scooters won’t last long.
@@Alexnagy850 go for vsett, kaabo or dualtron
Why do you even use imperial measurements? The UK uses metric
I had the mantis pro for a few days. The throttle is way too jumpy. It was so nerve racing
Racking to ride. Wolf king gt was the best ride I've experienced so far
Is this your first performance scooter?
@@chefgav1 it was yes.. but i rode a wolf king gt pro first..def get that such a great scoot
How is the ride quality vs The Phantom?
This is better - especially for transitioning between different terrain
How’s it stack up to the kaabo mantis pro SE
Mantis V2 is better overall
I had a pro se for 6 months and now the v2. The most noticeable difference is the smoothness of power delivery on the v2. The pro se wanted to go 0 to 100% with nearly any throttle input. Tires spun all the time. V2 is buttery smooth but still strong acceleration
I see this as a Downgrade from the Mantis King GT. So it sits between the Mantis Pro 10 V1 and the Mantis King GT. This is a complete joke. Kaboo must think we're stupid. How about Upgrade to the Dualtron Thunder 2. That's an upgrade.
What are your thoughts on the Namil Klima Max?
The Kaabo mantis SE v2 pre-dates the Mantis King GT. The Mantis King GT is an improved version.
Trigger throttle is a joke. Powerful scooter should start using full twist ones.
@@unloveableandreso… install a grip throttle. I’m shopping right now. I don’t expect a company to fit my every fancy. Installing what you want takes minutes. Why wait and hope?
@@TheSignFox safety and price. I like to make modifications but most people don't and won't. At this price level my main complaint is safety. Why give the customer a very unsafe feature with a super powerful scooter? What is the safest way to go? Full hands? Finger throttles are cumbersome for the brake, acceleration part. Thumb (horizontal or vertical) would be better.
I wish all hyper scooters put safety first and not just go with the same features of their slower models.
If the scooter is super fast, go with grip, full twist. It's better for everyone.
No offenses but it's not a fancy thing in my opinion.
Also, if I am paying $3K or $4K, you better give me the best of the best.
Cheers
What brand are you installing?
Yo bro sell me one of your old scooters
Still confused how this scooter with a 60v 24.5Ah battery somehow has lower range than the bigger, heavier, more power hungry Mantis King GT that also has a smaller battery...? King GT states 56 miles vs the V2 mentions 45 miles... Either one is vastly overselling or one is vastly underselling...
Because the review is 18.3ah battery
@@chefgav1No there's a version of the V2 that has a 24.5Ah battery, which is more energy dense than the Mantis King GT's battery at 24Ah, yet the Mantis V2 is listed at having a lower maximum range with a larger battery.
@imglidinhere too many factors influence range. None of these are real world
@@chefgav1 I know that. I own the Mantis V2. My POINT is that the advertised ranges literally make zero sense. One has a larger battery than the other and is advertised with lower range. Unless there's some magic at play, the actual advertisement is wrong on several levels. How many times do I need to say the same thing before people understand what I'm attempting to convey?
I'm 6'4" tall and I weigh 220 lbs with all the gear and my backpack I wear in total and if I'm going maximum speed on the V2 the entire time (gear 3), I can get about 12-14 miles out of it. Running in gear 2 limits the scooter to 27-28mph and I can get around 20-22 miles out of it depending where I'm at/hills vs flat ground, etc. These figures are with the base model 18.2Ah battery, so going up to the larger 24.5Ah battery would largely eliminate my range anxiety. Betting I could casually get 20+ miles with the bigger battery if not substantially further, in gear 3, and likely closer to 32-35 miles in gear 2, given that 21700 cells handle high power loads better than 18650s in addition to being more energy dense.
@@imglidinhereimo the 18ah battery on these are bigger than advertised and also it’s a misconception that LG cells are superior. LG cells are pure junk worse than Chinese. Electric surfer has an interesting review where he range tested 3 zero 10 x scooters 1 was the 18ah 2nd was 24 and 3rd was 60v21 ah and the range was virtually identical.
the toyota will still be faster more reliable and more comfortable
