Great to learn, that my Mini (F56, MANUAL) is really rare. I also have to chronograph package that gave me a lap timer, pressure of oil and the turbo charger. Looks very nic
You can push this jcw way more than the previous model. Overall a much better car and very engaging when you get used to driving it... it may feel “boring” cause it’s so much more stable on the road, take it to a circuit it’ll blow your mind what it can do!
quick note on dealers and JCW, bmw's etc. The DEALERS are not ordering the cars on their lots with manuals, and last time I was at the bmw dealership they were trying to talk me OUT of looking for a manual. Save the manuals...get dealers to look at the numbers on manuals in mini's which customers ordered. It's the dealers that are pushing autos, and the wait times for cars just makes things worse (told me I have to wait over a year 2 years ago for a 230i...).

The only issues I am having is the car feels like it is on ice at the moment and the slightest bit of speed makes me feel that I could loose control. I am really concerned, but putting it down to the wet road surfaces currently. So today I am getting new tyres fitted all around and opted for Michelin Pilot Sports 4. I am hoping this resolves that issue otherwise I might have to pay to get the remap reversed. Not sure if I am experiencing issues as a result of this remap or not...
@@Frankl204 I would put it down to current road conditions, you'd get anything to slip around with the state of this weather at the minute! Especially if you're local to Leicester, I'm not far from there and it hasn't stopped raining all day. Defo get the tyres done, always a good place to start. Do you find its the rear end that is sliding more or front? Or both?

I would have agreed with you a few days ago. I’ve spent a lot of time with various specs of the manual version and have truly fallen in love with this car (this is coming from a die hard American muscle fan) and I would’ve said every time that the manual is the best option. Yesterday I took home an automatic from my dealership and I can say that I like it more. The manual is alright because it’s not very engaging. The sounds you get on the automatic up shifts are in my opinion amazing. The downshifts are kind of laggy, but for some unexplainable reason I have had more fun with the automatic.

To me it has always felt like manual is the best option over the automatic, also because my parents have had automatics for a while and on a sports car to me the manual makes the drive so much more engaging. I am just curious to experience what you have experienced, I want to understand what you're saying. I don't deny that the auto is also fun, perhaps I'm so biased because I have never sat into an auto and experienced it. The future may change my mind. I appreciate your comment, I always remain open to understanding different POVs.
@@stephenwarren8671 I’ve got a manual jcw f56 at 300hp, the manual aren’t capped for torque like the autos so ive got around 430nm highest ive got to is 164mph and ran out of road, it takes a while to get there on the top end probably with it being shaped like a brick for aero dynamics 😂 it could get a little more given a long enough straight but not much
Did u drove it only on remap and got 70hp ? Did you have to do some other things too? Like intake , candles, .... i would like to make remap at mine jcw too but i have conciders that after remap would not be like now... now is everithing perfect about machine
@@natebarry5553 Nothing wrong with sport mode, It's the manner in which he clicked the car into sport mode. He wasn't gentle and careful. If it was me, I would've shown a little bit more respect.

I had my JCW tuned to 306 HP. It was a 2018 clubman.
New ones have that as stock...huge potential!
