By experience, my point of view is that If you have an engine that doesn’t like to rev out, automatic gearbox will over-rev the engine as soon as you floor it, and you’ll NOT get the best power the engine can deliver. Whereas with à manual you can better take advantage of the operating range of the engine .
But that mini is really desirable ! Look like a great little car :)
As an owner of JCW i can say
that the suspension is not for Eastern Europe and Russian roads .. but the car is so funnydrive! )
For me the best rewiew of this very special car, you have completly understand the "too much" character of this Mini. it s not easy to drive fast but finally not dangerous, just keep both hand on the steering wheel.
167 mph in a mini hot dang.. i got my r56s up to 130mph and felt like it was gonna explode.

This car its the ultimate urban hoon machine that also it's easy to park. Overpriced but if well kept they sell for good money if you can prove it runs decent.
This digital dash can be installed on other F-series MINI, too - regurar 3d JCW, Countryman, Clubman, etc.

You need to get you hands on the new released Yaris GR! It will rule the hot hatchback segment!
@MAGUS Which one do you mean? In Europe, most Corolla, CHR and Rav4 are sold with hybrid. Which is a no-brainer!
Only sports cars like the Yaris GR are logical with an turbo.
For example the 1.2l Turbo Chr... has not the boost of the 2.0l hybrid and worse consumption.
Also the hybrids are bulletproof... less to worry because it lacks so much (and no turbo)

@MAGUS You are correct. But I think, that the Yaris will lead the race. Imagine the same weight and size as the Yaris. It will be more practical for sure but it will not have the same racing DNA. AND It will be out 2022.
I stick to the Yaris as a fun car and my Corolla GR hybrid waggon as utility.

I had a JCW for 5 yrs. Very playful and fun to drive cars. It seems like 300 hp is too much to handle for this car though. GR Yaris will be a game changer in this category.

This jcw gp vs the bmw m135i 0-250 test please ? I heard only 3k mini cooper jcw gp units will be made so I think they will be a collecters item in the mini cooper brand/range.
I think the production for the GP already ended, but if you can get your hands on one, why not :)
The gp3 is a lot faster than an M135i F40. 100/200 km/h is as fast as an old M140i. Very impressive!

I understand that there are 3,000 units made worldwide for this car and there are about 74 units that are reserved for the Australian market. To the car enthusiasts from Holland, I would like to know how many units are allocated for the Netherlands?

Consider doing next step testing stuff like Boing 737 accelertion and top speed

If you want a mini the same performance but dont want to spend 30k you can buy an F56 Cooper S for 9K + a stage 1 remap [£500] and you have the same BHP [300]
I would go for the lci, with the 7 Speed DKG. A German Tuner tuned this to 280 HP and 400 NM and made also a high 10 sek from 100-200

I thought they were bare fiber glass panels not carbon fiber? I've driven this with cold summer tires, plenty torque steer.
Torque STEEEEEERRRR... my run of the mill Cooper S has noticeable torque steer... I can only imagine how bad it will be on this model. I do like my Mini though... the overall package is quite nice for hot hatch fans (I switched from the Impreza platform because it's getting too big... I like small nimble cars).
Can u not use the paddles instead of relying on full auto ??? Gear box will feel much better

Really 330hp and 510Nm, very fast on track, one of the best FWD sport car , it s always a battle to drive fast, not easy, but very fun.
sorry mate, but this red bar, don't improve stiffness. Even Mini says that it is only to keep cargo away from the front seats

I think not. The depreciation on a normal JCW will maybe be higher. Next to that, the tuning will depreciate by 100%. AND you will not reach the level of a GP in terms of performance and handling

Having such a ridiculously bad automatic gearbox on this car is a very big mistake to me... That's why I ordered the 2021 Mégane RS Trophy 300 EDC instead of the Mini GP3 I was looking at a few months ago.

@@beatoldfield A normal Cooper S is already behaving like a wild tiger at high speeds. I feel like this one due to the rear wing actually stays pretty steady considering the short wheel base.

Don’t want to spoil the fun, but the side arches are made of PLASTIC composite, not carbon 😬, pretty bummed as well.
I respect the functionality but the widebody and spoiler is so ugly to me... wish they went with something more modest and less two tones every where
