Khan isnt a last name, its a title. Temujin was Genghis Khan’s real name, he didn’t have a last name. You became a Khan when you were the ruler of multiple tribes. Hence why saying genghis khan spread the name is..incorrect to say the least.

It comes from the latin libra pondo. The weird part is that English kept both parts of the word, but only abbreviated the libra part, while only using pondo (pound) while speaking normally

exactly, because Two-Sicilly was a pretty artificial creation agreed upon during the Vienna Congress to divide the parts of Italy that had been conquered and centralized by Napoleon or sized from the spanish crown. When the Congress tried to make order of all of that, the french managed to get that kingdom formed with an ofshoot of the spanish Bourbon family formerly king of Sicilly and Naples (it's after the Congress and the restauration of the kingdom that the coat of arms got that fat, though I might be wrong on that and it might have been like this from the beginning in the mid 1700s, not sure). Hence the arms of Castille, Aragon and even Portugal being on there. But most importantly : hence the arms of Anjou being right in the middle of it.

the tragically funny thing about that John Wayne Ghenghis Khan movie was they filmed it in New Mexico down wind of the nuclear test sites. The entire area was contaminated by radioactive fallout and they brought contaminated dirt and rocks back to the studio with them which caused several extras and crew members to die from cancer years later.

A lot of English abbreviations are actually Latin! I never understood why the abbreviation for "that means"/"that is" is "i.e." until I found out that it stands for "id est" ("that is" in Latin)! And "e.g." stands for "exempli gratia" ("for example" in Latin).

Update from the side of the world that no one really cares about... Australia is still on fire, some parts are flooding and some parts are both. Most of the country is also still in drought and people arent allowed to wash cars, hose gardens or do more than (I think) 6 loads of washing a week.
