1:51 American here, not sure if you were wondering about the odds of the presidents being born in Massachusetts, or just mostly the east in general, but I have an answer for the latter. The VAST majority of Americans live on the east half of the U.S.A., so statistically more people there will raise the chances of a potential president. Sorry if this was obvious and unnecessary, but I hope it helped!
We should also point out that the US hasn't always been as expansive as it is today, and many of those states west of the Appalachians didn't exist until the 1830's and beyond. Not to mention that little ah... spat we had in the mid-late 1800s. The states involved had to rewrite their constitution before being allowed back into the union.

The reason most presidents were born towards the east is because for about 60-80 years worth of presidents, the west wasn't a thing, and then for the next 50+, the West was essentially a bunch of badlands. Not many presidents coming from there. The reason there are 4 from the same area in Massachusetts is because 2 of them were related and for the ones born in the last 100 years, their families were there cause they're rich.
Re; 6:25 Jewish population map - note that I'm not a historian so I might be a little off on the margins here, but there are several reasons that the European Jewish population is lower. One is, yes, the Holocaust. That is really the #1 factor. It's estimated that only in the last ten years has the *global* Jewish population come back to its pre-Holocaust levels. Considering that the Holocaust affected European Jews almost exclusively, it makes sense that Europe would be the last region to see its numbers recover. But also, Israel exists. Whenever there is any kind of social or humanitarian crisis, there are good odds that a chunk of the Jewish population in the affected region will just say "screw this, we're better off leaving," which is an option that probably wouldn't exist without Israel as a landing spot. Possibly the greatest case in point for this is that in the year after the fall of the Iron Curtain, Israel saw something like a million immigrants from Eastern Europe. There's also, more specifically, been a general and steady rise of anti-semitism throughout Europe in the last few decades. This is best personified in the UK with Jeremy Corbyn's fall from grace, but other examples exist throughout the continent. So even in areas without social or humanitarian crises, European Jews may leave their home country because, well, we know what happens when you wait too long. Which I suppose feeds back into reason #1. I do want to point out that France appears to be the only country with an increase in Jewish population between the two maps, and I'll speculate on why: In the 40's, 50's, and 60's, Jews started emigrating from Muslim-majority countries en masse, due to increasing violence against Jews in those regions. In most cases, the easiest landing spot was Israel (see reason #2), but if you lived in Algeria or Tunisia, both controlled by France at the time of Israeli independence, a lot of times your easiest landing spot was France, instead. There is a very large North African Jewish population in France today, because of that, which didn't exist pre-WWII. Anyway, I hope someone found this interesting and worth the read.

As Indonesian, idk if we were better off because WWII collonozation. A lot of people who aren't from collonized countries believe that the collony was just for spice trade but mostly what happened were just a lot of slavery and massacres. This is probably because their countries don't really wanna teach their kids about the crimes they did (which... sucks but I can see why) Sure we got like a handful of infrastructures like damns and roads, but it didnt justify 350 years of cruelty.
I learned a lot about colonization last year, during my global political science course in university, here in Canada. I definitely learned small bits here and there prior to that, but I was shocked at just how much of an impact it actually had. Definitely a lot worse than most people here think. It's really awful what colonizers did, and how they tried to justify it. The impacts still linger today and likely will for decades more, if not centuries. It's a really important part of history and I wish more people were taught it, and that more people understood it.

Dude him trying to say "Alemanha" from my language made me die so hard cuz our "nh" ins't spelled like that lol
8:28 I think that those are completely made up or the questions were worded in a weird way to get those percentages so high
He also completely misread one of those questions.
8:54 "the world and the us"
Ah yes USA famous for being out of the word
9:10 that map is crazy it has new zeeland as wel as data for greenland and west africa.
8:03 I had to rewatch that section like 6 times to understand what was happening. He completely misunderstands what the question is asking. It’s talking about people who think the COLONIZED PLACES are better off for being colonized, and he answers that ENGLAND is better off for having colonized others.
1:11 how tf did the smart kids draw the canada leaf bro
They’re smart
9:55 i laughed so hard at the BUTCHERED pronunciation of "Appalachian" it is really pronounced
appa-lake-in i live near the mountains and live in upstate NY so i laugh when people mess up the name, it is super confusing though

Another funny and great video! Also, at 10:14, that is the Drielandenpunt, or the Three-Point-Land. It is a short drive from the city of Aachen, Germany. Don’t worry, there is parking. I once stood in all 3 countries there!
Same with me! Was exactly there a few weeks ago, well it was way more crowded than on the pic😂 I actually live in Aachen lol
@@ThGaOn Cool! Whenever I’m there it doesn’t seem to be busy!
@@theautumnrailfan_1 I went there on a weekend with nice weather. That probably explains why the place was full of people
Are you there more frequently? If you are, you probably live nearby
@@ThGaOn I live in Canada, but I have family near Köln. So I am not there often
1:36 I believe this is because all presidents are born in the US and that land has been around the longest
The pronunciation of various things in this episode was so chaotic and distressing but the maps were still great so 8/10.
Strongly agree with you

As Indonesian, idk if we were better off because WWII collonozation. A lot of people who aren't from collonized countries believe that the collony was just for spice trade but mostly what happened were just a lot of slavery and massacres. This is probably because their countries don't really wanna teach their kids about the crimes they did (which... sucks but I can see why)
Sure we got like a handful of infrastructures like damns and roads, but it didnt justify 350 years of cruelty.
These maps were all pretty weird but I enjoyed it
Dude I never watched your videos before but this popped up on my recommended and BOY AM I GLAD I CLICKED ON IT. The way you just go from from map to map was so entertaining to me thank you
uhh i might seem dumb but what is 2:07
Idk
It's not anything it's just an ad

1:50 for the American presidents, in that county contains Harvard University which 3 out of the 4 presidents from there attended (the other attended Yale, another ivy league college) I think being from this area probably is most beneficial for wanting to be a future president having access to better education
Hi Jack, in terms of cool borders cheaper and closer options exist such as France, Germany and Switzerland around the swiss city of basel they all live in unison and everyone crosses the border daily: i live in france go to work in Switzerland and go shopping in Germany
