    Drew, the bear was a real thing. It’s name was Wojtek, and it was an actual Polish soldier and he even got promoted from Private to Corporal.     Actually Mexico was paid. In the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo Mexico was given $15 million for all land ceded to the United States, which did not include Texas since the United States considered Texas an independent nation at the time of it's annexation in 1845.

    There were cannons in late medieval Europe. They were famously used in the 100 year war (although for some reason where left out in the Netflix movie "the King", shame on them), in the assault on Constantinople by the Osmanians and several other occasions. During that period armours like the ones shown here would be worn a lot (although I don't think the armours themselves are that historically accurate, but I didn't bother putting more research into this)

    Mexico was forced to take fifteen million dollars from the US as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo after the Mexican American War. Mexico did get paid for the land that was taken, although they didn't really want to accept any money from the US.

      Ethiopia never even officially surrendered to Italy.Ethiopian rebels were supplied by the British and maintained control of some of Ethiopia under the command of Haile Selassie, and later on fought with the British once they invaded Italian east Africa.

    The bear was not edited in. It was Wojtek the war bear, who was a bear adopted by a polish artillery unit in WWI. Very heartwarming story.

    The reason that they were able to take Constantinople with the large walls was because the ottomans invented cannons. When I first heard it I was shook because I didn't know they invented canons that early.

    That is real!! There was a bear in the polish army that helped out soilders and there infantry logo i dont know which one but it’s logo has that bear. The bear would carry artillery rounds, it would drink beer and smoke cigarettes (yes all of this is true) his name was wojtek, and fought till the end of the war against italy. WW2

    the funny thig is that the 7 years war may have lasted 9 years as Fighting in the North American theatre began in 1754 where as fighting in the European theatre began in 1756 and the North American theatre was subsumed in to the wider war

    The bear was actually in Polish exile army, have rank in military, drunk beers then fight fellow soldiers for fun and during battles hes supply artillery with ammunition because humans was targets for snipers, but nobody shoot a random bear which just moving around battlefield. his name was Wojtek

    Constantinople (Istanbul) was conquered in 1453 so there were cannons. In fact, Ottomans used the most powerful cannon ever made in order to brake the great walls of Constantinople.
