Thanks!! Ya know, headstocks all can't be Fender and Gibson and I've grown to really like it. Saito (built this for Vox) has really excellent stuff if you haven't checked them out yet.
@ Yeah, I’ve never seen anything like that. I used to hate Tele headstocks when I first was interested in guitars. I liked the Jacksonish 80’s super Strat styles really well. It’s now my all-time favorite. Didn’t mean to disrespect your guitar by no means. Funny how things change with age and maturity. Thanks again.
Fun Fact: The Crowther Hotcake was invented by Emlyn Crowther, one of the drummers of New Zealand band Split Enz, members of which went on to form Crowded House.
I'm in the middle of building their Two Kings kit ((KOT clone). Of course for my first ever electronics/soldering project, I picked the most complicated one they sell. I'm done with populating the board, and wiring the pots and footswitches, now I have to put it all in the box and connect the power and I/O jacks. Then I get to plug it in and see if it works or If I just have a complicated, expensive paperweight.
Hey, these are a ltd run they did with Vox to get more exposure. Definitely a custom shop level build with their own Saytone hand wound pickups. Check the listing on Reverb for all the specs but I’d say it’s got a great balance of modern features (compound radius, modern neck, HSS with coil split) with obviously a nod to vintage Strat tones. I like that floating bridge and satin finish with almost a minimalist aesthetic (no back plate on trem). Really enjoying it and happy to be borrowing it for a bit ✌️
@@AndyDemos Thank you for the response and info! I'm eyeing the listings on Reverb and hope they can be lowered a tiny bit more for Black Friday! :) Cheers man!
@@sapienalienOne word….expensive! If you register for email and text promos, you can get some great deals, like all pedal kits 20% off earlier this year and an occasional 20% off everything. I got a notification for a free StewMax membership just by adding it to the cart. That gave me free shopping and discounts for a year. When that was nearly up, a promo for $29 bucks for the yearly membership came along. I’ve already recovered the cost with several small purchases that would have not been cost effective with their shipping rates. Top notch customer service is standard!!
Wow, this this is going to sell like...something really popular.
I keep sayin Andy, we need an Andy Album of originals 👌
Very soon I plan on buying a soldering kit and one of these StewMac kits. Definitely a fuzz pedal.
That guy can make anything sound good.
That's kinda the problem with choosing a distortion or overdrive out of the 10000 of options, Andy will make them all sounds Great.
Sumbich can play some guitar, I tell you whut.
Best circuit of all time.
Sounds delicious, now I want some pancakes! 🥞
I made some the next day ;)
Awesome demo Andy! As for the VOX headstock, not so awesome. Some good tunes right there, man!

You got this, man. I put my money on it working 😊
Looks like an amazing kit for a pedal that’s hard to find in the US!
But Andy... did you build it?
No but I’ve built many pedals in my time: this one is very easy get together 👍
I have an original Hotcake. Trust me you want this pedal.
Hi Andy, your stringjoy link isnt working. 😢
Thanks, looks like they changed up the affiliate program. Oh well, I use Signature 10-46 if you’re interested!
Hey Andy, how's that Vox SV-622? It's really hard to find any info on it. Does it feel more modern or vintage inspired to you?
