    The Rolex Daytona is the most coveted chronograph in the world, and it’s the star of today’s “Weekend Watches.” Tim Mosso takes watch collectors on an illustrated tour of the best watch brands in the Watchbox inventory of luxury preowned watches. Rolex’s signature chronograph chronometer is the headlining act, but brands from Audemars Piguet to Breitling to TAG Heuer ensure that all watch collectors will find timepieces to fit their tastes, budgets, and wrists.
    Launched at Baselworld 2011, the rose gold and ceramic Cosmograph Daytona remains a striking machine ten years later. Our 40mm Rolex “Everose” gold chronograph includes the black ceramic bezel that made this model famous alongside a matching black leather strap. The Rolex rose gold clasp ensures security on the wrist and precise fit. Due to the short measurement from lug to lug, this Rolex is suitable for wrists as small as 13.5cm in circumference.
    A black dial unifies the face of this Rolex Daytona. Black bezel and black dial blend into each other in a fashion that creates the impression of a larger watch. The tachymeter scale includes rose gold deposits so that the scale will remain clear and sharp indefinitely. All hour indices, hands, and the Rolex crown have been rendered in 18-karat rose gold to add richness and resist tarnishing over time. The famous red “Daytona” script contrasts in subtle fashion with the black of the dial base. Less subtle are the chronograph and constant seconds registers - all of which include polished rose gold chapter rings and centers with concentric patterns.
    Although this gold Rolex is biased towards a formal disposition, it’s more than a standard dress watch. The 100-meter water resistance ensures that this Daytona is only a strap swap away from swimming without worry. Rolex manufacture caliber 4130 includes automatic winding, a 72-hour power reserve, and robust resistance to shock and magnetism. A column wheel and vertical clutch ensure that chronograph action is both crisp and precise.
    For the first time on Watchbox, the celebrated German A. Lange & Sohne Odysseus sports watch receives in-depth attention and analysis.
    Additional watches from Audemars Piguet, F.P. Journe, Rolex, Greubel Forsey, and Romain Gauthier ensure an unrivaled luxury watch spectacle for collectors and connoisseurs.

    I wish that Lange was made of steel. With that grey dial it's absolutely stunning. The leather strap looks great on it.

    I'd have never said an AP could sit on the same pedestal as Greubel Forsey but wow, that Millenary Chrono is nuts.

    Blancpain should use bracelets more often

      agreed. I had a 38MM Bathscape with a sailcloth strap which began to fray at its edges after 3 months. An OEM bracelet was not even available.

      Hell I'd settle for a rubber strap, something I believe they used to offer.

    Love that Blancpain Chrono. Question, Tim, or for anyone, if Blancpain and Breguet are Swatch group sisters, why does Breguet use that cheap cam/lever action in their Type XX and not this gorgeous Blancpain column wheel action? Disappointing that Breguet’s sports model isn’t up there with the RO or 5711.

    Drinking my coffee to great watches! The Odysseus is interesting but definitely challenged with that price point in today’s market. It would interesting to see it with that rubber strap. Stay safe Tim! #timmossosunglasses

    Hello! I have a question
    730.032 vs 730.032f
    What does that f stands for? What's the difference between the two?

    Amazing watch selection, fantastic knowledge of the hardware but proposing that every watch will fit a 1cm wrist even if they look too big for 15cm. Tim is a gret watch expert but some reason in suggestion of the watch size should be there.

    • @ttjoseph1
      @ttjoseph1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Obviously a larger case on his 16cm wrist looks silly but he wants to sell the watch.

    • @davidr2802
      @davidr2802 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ttjoseph1 Perhaps it is a lose lose situation as some folks will say the watch is too big and then you have the others who say any watch under 42mm is for girly wrists.

  • @styx4947

    That A.P is really, and I mean Truly a special watch!. I find it so tragic that watches like this can be made by AP and nobody knows they exist. That thing is like a Grueble Forsey. To have that kind of potential and let it go un used is a horological crime!

    Tim, I love your coverage of these gorgeous watches. That said, screw down crowns are by no means a requisite for any extremity of water resistance. You do a great job dispelling many common watch myths, it would suit you to lay this one to rest as well.

    Tired of watches called “chrono” without split second markers and thus functionality, without that you’ve a whole chrono with the same functionality as any other second hand……

    • @starcode89

      Actually not such a bad watch. But all is ruined because of that bizarre lug extension. And the stainless steel model is even worse in that regard.
