You don’t need to be a millionaire to buy any of these pieces. I graduated in 2004 and have been working in the IT sector for just over 20 years. I earn less than $95,000 a year. I own two Rolexes, a Tag Heuer, a Breitling, an Omega and I recently added an Audemars Piguet to my collection. I bought the first one in 2008, only two of them were brand new and only one of them cost over $20,000. You don’t have to earn six figures to afford a nice watch collection. Work hard, save and it’s easier than you think.
I always look forward to your recommendations. A few years ago, I bought a Rolex Seadweller Black Dial Vintage 1665 in Switzerland. It was the perfect size for me and had an entirely self-winding movement, which I found better than the Submariner. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today. I'm planning to do some research and might make a profit from it.
Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $32million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $32m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs, including IITU and IUCM.
Love that Kevin relates memorable moments with watches. I can definitely relate b/c I do the same thing and makes the timepiece that much more special.
He’s like Donald trump the way he says things in very general sweeping terms with confidence but doesn’t really say anything technical at all. ‘The dial, the dial, the dial’, China, China, China
Not convinced is being polite. He’s a nice enough guy but tbh he thinks he knows much more than he really does re watches. It’s his mate Teddy with the watch knowledge.
I was surprised to hear that too. Not in the sense that he "needs to know French". But for a watch guy, he should at least know how to pronounce it right.
Great to see a Brazilian like me with this kind of success in the US, its impressive the level of content you create! I see your videos since you were playing Call of Duty with gameplays in portuguese...
Alex!! You've outdone yourself again! Thank you for this amazing content and colab with Mr.Wonderful. This video really helped put context or perspective around a market that is for the most part unattainable for a lot of young men of this generation but is realistically reachable if they apply themselves.

Different from your normal content. Awesome switch up with Mr. Wonderful! Dudes a gentleman and aligns with your channel but also has different taste which is cool to see. Great video man!
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MaMaCoo 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
It's not a good look. Imagine walking into a business meeting and seeing someone dressed like a vampire while wearing a red banded watch on each hand. It's tacky and makes it look like he's trying way too hard.
The Cartier was scratched on the case, upper right. The Baume and Mercier had a scratch on the case as well, center right. The Longines was unscratched, from a top view anyway.
Thank you Alex. this was very enjoyable & informative!! Kevin O'Leary is the ultimate watch collecting aficionado.. watching this made me "hungry" to start watch shopping. After all, there is a thin line in watch collecting: between addiction vs collecting hobby.. :).
Kevin loved the Tissot PRX, that’s a great “luxury” piece. I’d wear a Casio Edifice personally for business and an active everyday lifestyle piece. 👌🏼 Dive watches are cool and versatile as well, Tudor, Phoibos, Citizen, and even cheaper Chinese Microbrand homages from San Martin, Steeldive ect. For a vacation watch these Chinese microbrand watches make even more sense, reliable, cheap, elegant, and an expensive watch in a third world country… I’d almost say either a cheap dive watch under $200, or really inexpensive field watch will make you look killer. Or just stick with Casio and Cartier. Couple Casio Edifices for daily wear, EFR, EFB, and an Oceanus S100, S200, and a Cartier of your choice when you really need that exquisite luxury piece. Godtier.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from amzwatch I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.
A Dornbluth and son using a Unitas small seconds with well sculpted movement as a start off point is one to consider. But, you have to wait for a year for the handbuilt watch to be done being made. One of them costs about $4500 (euro?). It's very eye appealing. Cal. 99.1
7:17 Thank you Alex to introduce us this gentleman. He really thinks about low-income people, especially in Third World countries. I will follow him. This is the man we want
I wish Richemont would like yellow gold as much as we do - either a yellow gold JLC Reverso Tribute or a Cartier Tank LC mécanique in the same yellow gold would be awesome.
Even a novice like me can get a lot closer than that. He just bluffs his way through the things he doesn't know anything about. Who wears 6 watches a day just to impress his contacts?
The nomos Lux is the real winner for mechanical watches in that first category. The level of finishing for the price, is unparalleled. Fully in house, including escapment. Anglage on the screw sinks, blued screws, a movement made for the watch, hand engraved balance bridge with a swan neck regulator. Its just a killer.
In a past Kevin Oleary video where he is the guest and chose the watches, he picked the interesting choices. They were affordable, and others were within reach. Among the selections was kuoe, but was passed over for a very unique brand.
I got suckered into this watch rabbit hole and almost picked up a rolex, explorer 2, and I am happy I did not since my first was a Longines Spirit Zulu Auto. Sadly I get the dial, craftsmanship but I miss the hourly chime, set it and forget it of my MRGB5000D-1. I will keep the Spirit as a weekend watch, but pass on the rest, realized I like function over form
I heard Jack-Cootra, but either way it was a terrible try. It makes me question his knowledge of watches. My pronunciation is not letter perfect, but I think that I would practice the names of the watches I intended to feature in the video. There had to be at least one practice run before they shot the final video. Kevin always says that he buys watches based on the dials, so I suppose that's the only thing he focuses on.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
My absolute favorite watch is the Casio AE1200. Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch and worldtime. You can see your home time in every mode. 10 year battery, precise timekeeping, 100 meter water resistance, durable. Sleep with it, run with it, bath with it.

thank goodness, thought my computer died 😆
I know leary is a great guy but I just wish for you to collaborate with Teddy baldassare
It’s fine great vid tho
Not sure why Alex thinks all his viewers are Multimillionaires
It’s the goal of building his audience towards growing their mindsets into becoming millionaires…you dream it, you strive for it
You think they want their audiences to become millionaires? You must be monkey minded person who believes Santa exists@@emergencyfood7660
You can afford most of these watches. It just takes some discipline. I’m a schlub and I have a few nice pieces in this range

@@emergencyfood7660 I couldn't afford one at the start but by the end of the video I had bought 3 rolexes. It clearly works
Props to Kevin for knowing so much about more affordable watches like Longines and Baume&Mercier...seems like time spent with Teddy is paying off ;)
Alex collabed with Kevin before the release of gta 6
Unreal Collaboration✨️
Nico is gonna enjoy this
😂
Same thought 😂
There was nothing stupid said in this video. Why do you think he would enjoy this?
@bertholdbach4959 trust me. He's going to find something
now we need a crossover with Teddy
True
Teddy baldassarre? Would love to see courtney there too
Hell no
An actual watch guy who knows his stuff
I'm pretty sure his wife isn't as into watches as he is 😂

Love that Kevin relates memorable moments with watches. I can definitely relate b/c I do the same thing and makes the timepiece that much more special.
I can already see a dutchman getting ready for this video 🤣🤣
Been following you since a long time Alex! Happy to see your success man! Much support! ❤
The Cartier Santos and Girard-Perregaux were both really good picks. Cartier Santos at around 5k is killer.
Kevin is the last guy id go for watch shopping advice
I was just thinking of that seeing the watch he’s wearing 😅😅
I am not convinced that Kevin O'Leary knows as much about watches as he leads on.

@@richardcharleston2547 You misspelled Kamala Harris.
I'm surprised Kevin didn't pick any Grand Seikos for entry-level watches.
Same. I was expecting $1000+ watches for entry lol.
Or SEIKO spring drive,FTM.
We want a updated watch collection
The knowledge and passion Kevin has for watches, one can listen to him for hours.
A lot of these watches are beautiful, though personally I love a minimalistic look, like the Parmigiani Fleurier, great video Alex!
I couldn’t afford these but love looking. Love how Kevin gives his time to other enthusiasts and ultimately help promote these channels.
6:06 well he murdered that pronunciation! 😂
He also murdered Glasshutte
He had too much Jäger(meister) the nite b4.
He drives me nuts when he speaks about watches.

I like Kevin but the black and red combo always looks like a prom outfit
he sleeps in a coffin
Yea, he needs to reinvent his look
I have a 1953 Rolex Oyster in 34 mm and it works. Wears bigger than one would expect. Great show!
Hey Alex! Thank you for having Mr. O'Leary on the channel. He is a supreme collector. Great guest!
The old angry dude from shark tank 😂
(and the one with the worst offers 😭)
Lol😂 yep you got it

Kevin has a great eye for watches. His choices and my choices were identical for the three finalists.
