thanks a ton for presenting the 1957 omega trilogy edition. hope to get an in-depth review soon on all of these watches. somehow it is surprising to me that the more i see of fpj and hmoser, the more bored i get. cant see enough of lange, patek and db though - keep them coming!

@@BobbyDazzler888 I thought Ti V was supposed to be more scratch resistant than 316L? That's what we're often told, though it seems difficult to find reliable Rockwell C values for comparison. Either way that piece has had a hard life though... 😏
I pickup a knock off platinum rolex yachtmaster with diamond markers on the street in las vegas many years ago but would love to get another one...........Does anyone know where to get one like that?.......
Great way to start a Wednesday, high horology in pairs and triplets! It's all good or noteworthy but the two pieces that stick with me are the blue side of the moon Omega and the FPJ Elegante Titilist 40, quartz, I could live with them.
Hi Tim, I can’t help but notice that more often than not them Moser and Journe pieces you feature on Waking Up state “Call for Pricing”. Is that driven by brand pressure or an internal decision. Just curious as to the rationale here. Thanks for your insight 👍
the "call for price" is done because they want to make sure they get the highest possible market price out of you. Six figure watches don't fly out the door, so imagine that they publish a price for a watch on one of these videos and it takes a couple weeks to sell, the market price could've gone up in those 4 weeks. So if they publish a specific price they can't take advantage of that rise.

The Omega set, the lume on that... gross. Do you think Ferrari or Jaguar or Lamborghini would one day come out with a car that has factory rust on it to make it look more authentically vintage? Or come with a cracked head or flat tire to make it seem like it was driven for years? Old debate, I know, but that lume is a particularly bad example.
Cars couldn’t get away with it at all, it would be stupid 😂 but I think certain watches can, especially if they are as historical as the speedmaster 😁 it’s the same with guitars, some look amazing when they are made to look old but others look silly
When you make a video that is pretty much entirely for the top 1%, do you find that views and watch time suffer? I certainly hope so. Not that I can afford hardly any of these watches, it'd still be nice if you waited till you knew the actual prices before featuring them. And the sound was awful. This video sucked.

That detachable escapement is cool, but what if the problem isn't the escapement? Can't just switch it out and speed your watch back to you. Lol
If I ran a funeral home I would wear the vanta black Moser it would be appropriate , the perfect watch .
