Walmart back, in the day, got the blue game gear with baseball cartridge along with the carrying case for $9.99 clearance. Still have in mint condition!
Awesome! Yes, I've been friends with Jesse since meeting him on the AtariAge forums years ago. He does incredible work, especially on Game Gear and Atari systems. Go for it! You won't be disappointed.
Agreed! It's one of those games that gets looked over a lot because of its kid-friendly nature. But it's a technical achievement on the Game Gear and should get the love it deserves.
@@Forever8Bit I still have my game gear and it suffers from bad screen and no sound. I was thinking of purchasing a Sega Mame Gear. A Pretty cool mod of the game gear.
Growing up poor I always wanted one especially after playing Sonic on my friends gamegear 🤔 so when the vita was coming out I decided that I would not pass up another chance to play something so awesome 😏 was not disappointed 🤘🏽😮💨🤘🏽
"Devilish is devilishly fun" As someone who had Super Breakout on the Atari 5200 as a kid...I must disagree. Aside from the Double & Cavity modes, I despised that game almost as extensively as I despise Centipede. And Pac-Man...also had it on the 5200, and hated it with a fury. Hated it even moreso cuz my brother was able to cruise through the game like it was nothing, going all the way up to the third Key stage before finally falling...I couldn't even get to the FIRST Key if I didn't just select it outright, and if I selected it outright, I couldn't survive. (Yeah, the only game I had that I didn't outright hate was Joust, and that was only because the Easy Mode eliminated one of the game's buggiest things: the occasional "Pterry Wave", where you had enemies AND a Pterodactyl to deal with. Problem is, it could only be put away by hitting the nose, but the hit detection was so iffy that it more than likely got YOU wrecked instead!!)
Same lol. Sold mine when I was in my late teens. Been tempted pick one up again for my collection. After watching this video. Nope lol. This games are straight horrible and did not age well.
This is one of the rarest Sega systems ever: ➡ th-cam.com/video/v_c77rM3woI/w-d-xo.html

Wow! That was an amazing deal!
Cool vid on the Sega game gear
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! :)
Really grateful for the recommendation. My childhood game gear is going bad and I'd like to get it restored. Ton of hours poured into it

I had one for a short time and I remember playing Mortal Kombat 2 on it a lot! It was a great system!
In the day, that was a pretty good port for mobile gaming. Certainly better than Game Boy or - gasp - Tiger handheld. 🤣
Whoa...the animation in Tempo for the Game Gear is incredible. I would say Tempo himself is animated closely to his 32X game and that's just crazy.

The Sonic games for Game Gear are excellent.
So is Earthworm Jim, and Columns.
Indeed! EJ and Columns are a lot of fun. My wife also likes Columns on the GG.
love old games
Me too! :)
A pleasure to watch as usual! Love your review videos!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your kind words!
I had one but like a dope I got rid if it. I don't get rid of anything anymore. Great video as usual!
Thank you! Yeah, I'm with you. I don't hoard, but I have a lot of gratitude for the things I have so I hang on to them these days.
Thing ate batteries like a champ ; I owned two of them.
Sure did! Thank goodness there are modern-day solutions that perform so well, like those USB-C rechargables.
Love these retro systems!!
I kinda like 'em too. :)
Sega Game gear - my first handheld and I loved it🙂👍🏻
Sega Game Gear: my newest handheld and I love it. :) Thanks for watching and chiming in!

Cool! I'm glad you were able to get one and enjoy it! :)
I just love it
Me too! I had no idea what I was missing out on. :)
First thing I did was recap mine and installed an ips
Definitely! It makes all the difference with them. Once they're set up right, they should be good for many years to come. Smart move!
You should game with us older gamers sometime...
That sounds like fun!
Power Rangers on the game gear is amazing. Try it.
Thanks! I will check it out.

I get that. These are some good inputs, and good memories, you shared.
Steam deck is that you?
It ain't heavy, it's its brother. :)
I will never miss that system that was probably the worst system I’ve ever had

I respect that. Heck, I even dodged getting one for 30 years. That was quite a lot of commitment on my part. 🤣
