Probably one of my favorite movies. And one of the most underrated movies ever. Only people who know true comedy likes this movie. Edit 5 years later, don't know what "true comedy" meant but still his most underrated movie.
This and Cuban Pete truly has a special place in my heart. The greatest man on earth really made comedy movies the best. How can a single actor be in most of my favorite movies? It's truly amazing. May Jim never leave us
What are you talking about? Jim Carrey is actor which can be recognised anywhere in the world like Jakie Chan, Will Smith, Arnold Swartcneger and Sylvester Stallone, literally, go to the most remote place in the world where there is a TV, people will know who are these guys.
I always return to watch this when I'm feeling down. Sure, Jim is fantastic, but it's the other characters in the room that add to the overall amusement, lol.
When I was a teenager, I borrowed a VHS with 3 movies. MIB, The Rock and this one. My dad was watching this movie, which I had not seen yet, and I arrive into the room right in this scene. I was mesmerized. Even today it's my favorite Jim Carrey scene. I love the music too.
I casually noticed an unnoticed bit of dialogue I hadn't heard before in this, at 0.50 I think it's Jim's voice saying 'Don't take no for an answer' part way through his karaoke session.
I bought this move almost exclusively for Jim's interpretation of this song. What a Karma and charisma, what a genius ! The whole party-crew, the perfect constellation of a normal night gone wild.
- "Are you telling me that Heather is a prostitute?" - "Well, of course she is. You think a chick like that would hang out with us if we weren't PAYING?"
I saw this movie once when I was kid, this song stuck in my head since then, and I remembered it occasionally at random moments, like when singing in the shower etc. Interesting, how this almost ridiculous version of the song has so much impact.
This movie was genius from the perspective that it taught a lot of important life lessons about friendships. For example, Chip tested Steven by first giving him free, illegal cable and only wanted friendship in return. When Chip sees that Steven doesn’t appreciate what he does for him by always being there and helping him with patching up things with Robin, he teaches him a valuable lesson to never use people and call someone a “friend” only when it’s convenient. That’s why he made him pay for being ungrateful and selfish.
Jim Carrey is pure genius and Ben Stiller a real talent to direct him so well. The Cable Guy is a so underrated movie. Matthew Broderick and other actors played it well.
“You might recognise this song as performed by Jefferson Airplane, in a little rockumentary called Give Me Shelter about the Rolling Stones and their nightmare at Altamont. That night the Oakland chapter of the Hell’s Angles had their way. Tonight… it’s my turn.” Hardest intro to a karaoke I’ve ever heard.
The movie is about a guy who can't make any friends, but I would totally hang out with this lunatic.

And the guy who sang Candy Shop in Hangover 1. I want him to flip the bird at all my guests.
@@MarcusDailyMedia Same guy here... th-cam.com/video/FfUU1wJKXDc/w-d-xo.html
*If* being the operative word 🤣
Facts 🤣
He would put his back out if he did it now 🤣
Best cover of this song I've heard. If you're going to sing Jefferson Airplane, you got to commit to it!
I mean for real. This shit is not easy to impersonate. Carey is the man. Classic original.
🌹😉😄😃😘⚽⚽⚽
dats wat i was lookin for u r dank!!
I dare to say? Jimmy boy rocked, ripped and destroyed this song #HEOWNEDTHE90'S
Amazing cover.Maybe one of the best cover ever
*That moment when the parody is way more fun than the original song 😂😂*
*Big salute to that Legend JIM CARREY ❤*
Likes 😍❤😘
Take it back
If you like this look up his version of I am the walrus. Its legendary
I use to repeat this scene when i was a kid. I loved the way that Jim Carrey sings this song
I love the original version but...I have to say...this one...is a fucking masterpiece
Its really impossible to watch this without a wide smile across your face
True story
One of the best actors ever. Love it 😂
Die Snitches my firt movie i see from them ace ventura pet detective amesome

This is the most addictive song I've listened to till this day in my life. No, not the original, but this version is just mind blowing!
Comme tu dit cette musique et rester depuis le jour ou je l'ai entendu avec jim
I cure depresaion with this video. Once per day
Same.
depresaion?
Hahaha same here
I find this incredibly creepy and depressing. There's something truly dark behind the surface comedy in this movie.
Nalis Solus he’s a psycho
Definitely one of the most ICONIC scenes in movie history!😆😆😆I'll always remember this scene!
One of the most underrated films of the 90s.
This scene made me laugh so hard when I was a kid. It made me laugh harder now as an adult as I understand the context. This whole movie is a true gem in comedy!
Exactly! Means so much more as an adult.
the sam sweet footage still has me dyin' to this day "brother sweet brother..sammy no...sammy don't" "you've always been a cry baby...look who's cryin now" lmaoooooooooo eric roberts talking in that deep rambo masculine voice then he has that girly lisp as the monk brother... that is hilarious!!!! what happened to comedy! it use to be so dam hysterical
2:27 he went full jim morrison
Niklas Schehr ha
Accurate
Never go full Jim morrison
Always go full Jim morrison
Made the scene
Masterpiece ! 😱😱😱😱 Only Jim could pull it off like that ! And this !
Vocals on point, lisp with character present, knows the words without looking at the screen, very well done, and shows how much the song actually means to his character, 0:54 just awesome, also the other looking misfits on the couch sympathising with him / on his side
Next time I do Karaoke, I've found my song. Gotta give it this much energy!!!
100x better than the original. This is an actual jam.
He did GREAT
That is not true in the absolute slightest

Probably one of my favorite movies. And one of the most underrated movies ever. Only people who know true comedy likes this movie. Edit 5 years later, don't know what "true comedy" meant but still his most underrated movie.
This movie was best performance of jim's career. Every aspect of his abilities were merged in this single flick.
This and Cuban Pete truly has a special place in my heart. The greatest man on earth really made comedy movies the best. How can a single actor be in most of my favorite movies? It's truly amazing. May Jim never leave us
Jim Carrey will always be my favourite actor
Same😁😁😁
Right on he kills me absolutely genius
God damn it!! It's really hard to find somebody to love!!! 😄😄
there's always your hand
+dickcheese663 Indeed!!! But sadly I have no arms!😢
hmmm.... how flexible are you?
lol
+dickcheese663 ROFL!!!😂😂😂
I feel your pain my friend
Jim never had the recognition he deserved as an actor. What a shame....
Do you mean recognition not reconnection lol
my
Vanessa Manhita Plug in son,get reconnected.( youre looking for recognition)
well he does have 150 million dollars
What are you talking about? Jim Carrey is actor which can be recognised anywhere in the world like Jakie Chan, Will Smith, Arnold Swartcneger and Sylvester Stallone, literally, go to the most remote place in the world where there is a TV, people will know who are these guys.
I always return to watch this when I'm feeling down. Sure, Jim is fantastic, but it's the other characters in the room that add to the overall amusement, lol.
I keep replaying this one video thousand times, jim carrey the best actor.
This is one of Jim’s best movies ever
I casually noticed an unnoticed bit of dialogue I hadn't heard before in this, at 0.50 I think it's Jim's voice saying 'Don't take no for an answer' part way through his karaoke session.
You are correct, sir! (Dont take no for answer...) YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAA! #scramblyeggs
I bought this move almost exclusively for Jim's interpretation of this song. What a Karma and charisma, what a genius !
The whole party-crew, the perfect constellation of a normal night gone wild.
the best fucking scene in the movie
No, the best scene is when he beats up Owen Wilson in the bathroom. “Thalttt peanuth, thalttt peanuthhhhhh!”
Now THAT is a wing man.
😂 so wrong but so true
Die Snitches y
+vainiketaa I was drunk af when I wrote that lol can't even remember
TheFleeingPhoenix kinda seems like he'd steal your thunder instead.
- "Are you telling me that Heather is a prostitute?"
- "Well, of course she is. You think a chick like that would hang out with us if we weren't PAYING?"
Jesus Christ, that was golden.
LoL 😂 how does he manage to both nail this song and make it hilarious at the same time amazing !!!

What for an actor talent. This is more than acting.
Best comedy actor ever.
There will never be a replacement for Jim Carrey, appreciate and admire this legend while he's still with us ❤ 2022
Best version of this song. Wish there was a full version of this.
LMAOOO. Jim Carrey is such an awesome actor. Cable Guy, Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar, The Truman Show. SUCH good movies.
And the mask
TwisTed Taipan and yes man
You forgot Ace Ventura

Internal sunshine of the spotless mind???
I saw this movie once when I was kid, this song stuck in my head since then, and I remembered it occasionally at random moments, like when singing in the shower etc. Interesting, how this almost ridiculous version of the song has so much impact.
Ray Hoodoo me too! haha I always scream the shut the door! part
2:26 , best fucking yell ever
+Isaac Chay lol yeah i like it also, is that yell apart of the karaoke song or did he just make that up?
He just made it up, bro, it's not apart of the Jefferson Airplane original. God damn I love it, I would get it as a ringtone if I could
+Isaac Chay It sounds like Jim Morrisson to me i must admit.
+Isaac Chay damn straight!!!
+Luka Cvetkovic The pants are adding so much to that association though
This movie was genius from the perspective that it taught a lot of important life lessons about friendships. For example, Chip tested Steven by first giving him free, illegal cable and only wanted friendship in return. When Chip sees that Steven doesn’t appreciate what he does for him by always being there and helping him with patching up things with Robin, he teaches him a valuable lesson to never use people and call someone a “friend” only when it’s convenient. That’s why he made him pay for being ungrateful and selfish.
That's a party
This is a doornob.
классная вечеринка!

Jim Carrey is pure genius and Ben Stiller a real talent to direct him so well.
The Cable Guy is a so underrated movie.
Matthew Broderick and other actors played it well.
The way the background actors dance though....
LMAO. In the original script, the partygoers were called misfits. ;)
Best part honestly
They're groovy
😆 👍 awesome
“You might recognise this song as performed by Jefferson Airplane, in a little rockumentary called Give Me Shelter about the Rolling Stones and their nightmare at Altamont. That night the Oakland chapter of the Hell’s Angles had their way. Tonight… it’s my turn.”
Hardest intro to a karaoke I’ve ever heard.
