Thanks for making this video. I have an issue with my system. I will hear a snapping sound inside the dash which I believe is one of my actuators. So I will have to replace both of my actuators. Also sometimes the system will blow lightly and I will feel some cool air or heat coming out but then nothing. So I have multiple issue looks like. Yes a pain in the butt. Again thanks for doing this for us. It is a big help. Take care and be well my friend.
Yes, the snapping noise is probably a busted gear in an actuator or possibly one of the flappers getting hung up. Sounds like you might also have trouble with the blower motor or the controls for it.
Were both Actuators the Same Part Number? I’ve got to replace the Drivers side Actuator but will change the Passenger side as well. Thanks for your help
1. What brand blend door actuator did you use? Aftermarket actuators are known to be problematic. 2. A/C “head unit” is known for cracked solder joints. Easy enough to take apart and resolder. Lots of YT videos on this. Thanks for the upload…I will be using this as reference as I need to pull the dash to replace a HUD bezel!
1. I went with the Four Seasons brand since I've had good luck with them in the past. 2. I have fixed several of those. The solder joints of the surface mount resistors are the usual problem. 3. Welcome. I pulled the dash on mine the first time for a bezel replacement too. They get kind of crunchy from age and sun exposure. I then ended up deleting the HUD altogether.
So I pulled it off and the door was actually stuck. I couldn’t turn blend shaft by finger so I carefully put a small stubby crescent on it and turned it free. Bam AC again. Now I’m scratching my head thinking now what? Lol. Do I put it back in and hope it never sticks again, or just go ahead and put a new on…. What say you? I’m leaning towards replacing… the dorman for mine is 40 bucks and maybe will have a lil more “tuning umph”.
@@GeekyJay79 I would install the new actuator, but I would also do my best to figure out why the door stuck. Does it have side play and possibly getting stuck along the edge?
have ya had the groung issue when dash goes nuts and say service action contro; system service active control power reduced with all not wprking like windown or locks radio ac nothing till ya shut down and restart
Thanks for the video. I plan on using it when I remove the dash & replace both of the blend doors. 👍
Hope it helps.

Yes, same part number.
Love the energy 😂😂😂😂
LOL. That car drained what little energy I had left.

Is it the same actuator for both sides? As in same part number, just order 2 of the same part?
Yes, the left and right blend door actuators are the same part number.
Thank you for the video!
You are welcome. Hope it helped!
Where did you get those roll bars in the back of the seats? I need those.
I have no idea. They were already in the car when my daughter bought it.

I haven't had that happen so far but bad grounds can cause some weird problems.
Nice vid. My 01 went dead but didn’t throw a code.
Thanks!
Is this a major issue? Do I need to fix it ASAP or can I leave it and clear the code for now?
Just fix it when you can.
