I'm putting down 565 hp to the rear wheels. So now each time I go to a car meet or show ppl like oh its just a rt... pop the hood it's a whole different ball game. I make scat pack owners jelly af.

I have a mildly modded 2015 R/T and my wife has a bone stock 2020 AWD G/T and hers is very fun to drive as is. I drive it when I put my R/T away in the winter. My R/T dynoed 525 WHP with mods. She won't let me touch her car to md it. She bought the extended warranty when she bought the car new. I bought my 2015 new and started a count down to the end of the warranty. :D
I have a 2019 Ram classic V6. I changed the gearing to 3.92 and I totally agree with you. I swear it performs just as good as a hemi truck with 3.21 gearing
I used to have a 2016 dodge Challenger SXT with the 3.6vvt. All I did to mine was taken the rear mufflers off the car, because they were called the resignater from my manual, and online, but it's actually a muffler I don't care what everyone else says the resignater is the little canister in front between the muffler, and the cat. I also had a cold air intake, and I took put a throttle body spacer in it. After it was all said and done with no gear replacement no transmission work, and no tune, because you it has a locked ECU, but if you have enough money to buy a programmer it can be sent with a new ECU. Just didn't have the money at the time to do it. I ran a 5.5 sec 0-60 time. I smoked RT Challenger and chargers all day long. I ran with a SRT. The only thing I found was that the V6 Challengers were put together with cheaper parts. There was a reason my car was only 18k and the V8 can go for 30K it isn't just because the motor and transmission and brakes were better. The whole car is better. All the cosmetics started breaking on my car pretty quickly. Don't get me wrong I loved my car and I would own another one of I could afford it. I would rather just bite the bullet and pay the extra for the RT or SRT. I found that the more I learned the car and I mean drive it like you stole it learn the car. The more I did that the more I could just blow other people's doors in the V8. Now if a car has way more torque and HP I couldn't drive the car good enough to beat them. Im not saying I'm some Racing guru, by no means. Everyone that knows me knows I should have became a racecar driver, because I am very good behind the wheel. I find not having any fear behind the wheel really helps. For some reason I feel at home there you know like nothing could hurt me. It is my temple. My place of peace for some reason. Side note: how many times you replace your tires a year in your challenger? I had a brand new set last 6 months on mine, and the first set of Pilots that came on it were out in 2 months they were new when I got the car too. I started putting really good used ones on it, because it didn't matter they were gone in a month or so regardless. These cars will burn up a set of tires really quick V6 or not.
I had my v6 Challenger upgraded with the RIPP turbo charger.... Made a HUGE difference. Spanking RT's, Scats, and Hellcats. All of which were begging to know what was inside my engine bay at the next red light. A lot to do with the drivers I'm sure, but I drive mine like I stole it!!
Good info, those gears are a definite factor, that's what I need, I have full bolt on, full Cat back exhaust, hemifever 93 custom tune, my best 0-60 is a 4.9, and my best 1/4 mile is a 13.83 at 102, I get a lot of haters from the V8 community, but I really don't care I enjoy my car, and what I have done to it, and you are doing big things can't wait too see that monster when it's boosted, you will have 392 scared to roll up 💯
Bro i've got an R/T and hear the same from the scats, and the scats hear it from the hellcats, and the hellcats hear it from other lighter cars with the same power. Lol! Its a never ending. Just enjoy your car and keep mooding it.
I’m blessed for my father getting me my sxt soon. My mother was going to get me it for college but she passed away a week ago…I’m just blessed to be getting my dream car. I fucking love the v8’s and the hellcats but I’m so happy to have a v6. Might change the exhaust and rims but eveyrbody enjoy your Challenger/chargers!
There’s ALWAYS something faster. RacerX did a comparison of v6 vs RT. 0-60 for v6 was 6.5 seconds. 0-60 for RT was 5.7 seconds. Stock vs stock. Took place in Texas. There are companies that sell superchargers and turbochargers for the pentastar v6 that’ll certainly make you faster than a stock RT. All the best! Great video!
Right now I have a RT TA Challenger which I love! That 305 horsepower pentastar V6 is nothing to frown on! I bought a new Challenger Rallye new in 2011. It had the 305 horse Pentastar I loved that car too! It's just a tick off the RT. Don't think I don't respect those engines!! Very solid bottom ends! Perfect candidates for a Supercharger if you just want to go faster
I wanted a RT so bad but the one I went for sold before I got there so I went to my old job and got a SXT and I can’t lie I’m still happy and love my charger! I think ima get a SXT Plus when I upgrade. The RT’s and up are good but I don’t wanna die in one of these or wreck too bad.
My first ride was a inline 6 68 Malibu. It got me in the door to what I was looking for a 68-72 A Body Chevelle at the price I could afford. Started off with cosmetics and mechanical then went for more displacement later with a 454 from a 76 screaming eagle indy GMC pickup that was rusted out for $150. Life's what you make it and hard work, blood sweat and tears will get you where you want to be which most of us watching this would agree is looking good and SPEED! 🔥🔥🔥🤘😎👍👍👍
If you use the R/T axles it's a direct bolt-in. I did it with 3.90's in my first 19 RWD GT, and again with my current 19 RWD GT and 3.70's.I live at 5000 feet, but at sea level mine is running 5.7 0-60 very easily. Both of mine had/have the Super Track Pack, performance suspension and Brembos.
First time on your channel, I respect all you said about the v6 and being happy with what you got! I get shit on all the time for wanting the V6, liked and subscribed!
First time subscriber. I really love how you keep it real and make people feel good about what they have. I’m about to start modding my 2020 charger starting with the exhaust. Thanks for all the information. Keep making videos!!!!!
Got one myself RWD though. I tossed the paper filter and dropped in a K@N High performance filter($50)and the throttle response is like night and day. Went from a 6.2 to a 5.8 0-60. Found a Hellcat box with a light tube hookup for(80$) and repeated 5.6 everytime. Tires which are GY EAGLES 20'S will be replaced. Also, those times are with a full tank and if you noticed he has a qtr on the dash.5.4 has been my best so far. I do not try it often and I'm probably not the best at a whole shot either. My wheel spin has to be hurting me also so 150 dollars if that, minus the full tank can get you a close 5 with that alone. .2 of a second is no gap so no sweat.
Bro, I've watched a lot of your driving videos. This the first time I have heard you drop knowledge. I am a fan forever. Keep moving forward family. P.S. if you ever pull up on my (Scat Pack), HELL NAW we are not running. Stay Blessed family.
Love it bro, I've had my 2013 for a couple years now. It's only the 2nd car I've ever owned but it's the daily driver. I've had people trip on why I don't upgrade but she's paid off, and still running like a champ with only 52k. I've been wanting to do something a little special with her though, this vid was a great help.
Yea Im building an 02 mustang I was getting a lot of hate for 454 swapping it but my mechanic said it’s yours Do what u plz it’s your ride and honestly it was way cheaper then trying to go coyote or LS
I've had a 2012 3.6 v6 challenger, and then I went to a 2014 rt Challenger. Now I have a 2014 Charger rt max, all great cars. the power feels good in the v6 honestly. The torque of the 5.7 is amazing in comparison that combined with the v8 sound is a thrill to drive. It's no L no matter which one you choose they are all great looking cars with decent power.

I bought the 2020 challenger gt with the 3.6vvt and it has all wheel drive. I live in the north so the awd was the selling point and I didn’t realize until after that for 3grand you can supercharger it and whip a rts ass. While having better mileage and awd
Gotta appreciate your positive attitude towards being happy with what you have. I have a '19 Challenger SXT Blacktop edition on lease but I might end up buying it if Chrysler Capital will let me keep paying my low monthly lease rate. I already installed a Hellcat airbox with an AFE oil less drop in filter and I can feel a better throttle response compared to the stock airbox. Been looking into getting a Borla ATAK exhaust after my lease ends. After that I'll check into getting a 3.9 diff gear. I live in California and because of California Air Resource Board, there are so many restrictions on car mods. But I already have one of those 3 recommendations that you mentioned and looking forward to my next mod project! Thanks for making this very informative video and for sharing your mods with us! My v6 sxt plus with upgrades of $4k of fuel pump, cam, performance exhaust, performance intake & tuneup. I beat shaker with 0 to 60 of 4.7s. Remove back seats, spare tire & trunk board, that'll take out over 300lb. But driver matters too..
That advice in the beginning I wish people would apply to way more than just cars... Worry about yourself and not what everyone else is doing lol. World would be such a better place.
in regards to the gear swap, u said 390 dif, along with the 230mm axles, that said did you do anything for the drive shaft? Also are the big brakes required? or optional? if you can be kind as to send some knowledge my way in the parts that u used just so I can get my bearings please.
Well with the like/heart I have the 5.7 .... glad your making those times. But most of what your talking about needs a tune in order for it to take effect... besides the gears.... And pcm is locked. I have ran next to v6's gapped them...as a hellcat would gap me. Have you changed tire size or rim size without calibration?? I have heard of these times in a v6 but they are pro or supercharged with 7 to 12lbs of boost. Just saying man. Been a long time Mopar guy it doesn't seem accurate.
So you have 390 gears and a different Diff housing itself correct and also 230mm axles correct? What RPMs do you turn at 80mph? Also you said on the V6 you have to notch the springs? Do you have a video on that?
the diff itself is the a complete 3.90 housing is included about 2400 and no but i show in the install video where the springs need to be notched it’s very small just so the spinning axle doesn’t rub
@@BOOSTEDLUCKEY You mean like the coil springs or the actual base like the rear center lower control arm. I’m amazed how Dodge would completely use entirely different stuff on a V6 Challenger.
@@JBWHITEGT A spring link is not the same thing as coil springs the actual base like the rear center control arm is the spring link if you Google spring link you’ll see the image of what I’m referring to they did not change the complete rear in on the V6 because the differential and other components are still the same the only thing that is really different is the brake line location and lower spring links

When you're all done modifying your ride you should do a video showing all you've done with links to where you purchased your parts.
More power to you. It took me a while to understand that people can do what they want to their cars as long as it makes them happy. I still don't understand why so many v6 owners with extra loud exhaust keep challenging me in my built head and mildly cammed Magnum R/T. The Magnum R/T stock if fairly slow so I guess they were expecting an easy kill. The car I now daily is a hell of a sleeper, so I don't get bothered anymore.
I’ve had a v6 charger for a few years and I’m planning on going to an RT. It’s not even the extra power that I really want. I just want that beautiful v8 grumble. Also I’ll make sure it’s got the plus package for the goodies

well you can do either one, just wait or just mod what you have if you want, just saying you have options and either is fine
V6 cheaper insurance, cheaper gas, there is a speed limit. Dude sounds like a genius.
I have a 5.7 hemi pursuit. And believe me there is always someone telling me the 392 is better. Beautiful car by the way.
I have a 392 durango srt and people still ask why I didn't get a hellcat durango. As these mfs drive a camry.
Awd or rwd? I ran across a 2015 awd rt
Yeah the same thing with me I bought a beautiful f8 green rt. Was okay for little while but since trying to get a scat now is almost impossible so I bought a Whipple supercharger 3.0 Gen 5 and tune exhaust system air filter. I'm putting down 565 hp to the rear wheels. So now each time I go to a car meet or show ppl like oh its just a rt... pop the hood it's a whole different ball game. I make scat pack owners jelly af.
@@Hazardhemi honestly I feel as if RTs are completely acceptable I mean big car that still has the V8 and that actually sounds sick it was probably cheaper than a Scat Pack too
This is were I'm at. The starting point. I've never owned a car of this caliber or capability, always midsized sedans. So all this is foreign to me...but I'm here to learn.✊🏾

What was the cost to do this change and how much time did it take? Thx
It doesn't make it faster though, it just makes the car kick differently.
How you get the 392 gesr

Just bought my first challenger v6 and I feel this I love that I finally got a version of my dream car long time coming
Same!
Diablo sport tuner cost is roughly 400 but well worth it if you do a 93 octane tune that will give you 27hp right there plus removes the speed limiter
That intro is pure facts! People gotta start ignoring/cutting off the ones talking down
If you get it tuned it’ll make a world of difference. Good shit man!
Big facts. The way I see it at the end of the day they’ll always be someone with something faster than you unless you have a damn buggati chiron
Big sparc Mac guy huh
I had my v6 Challenger upgraded with the RIPP turbo charger.... Made a HUGE difference. Spanking RT's, Scats, and Hellcats. All of which were begging to know what was inside my engine bay at the next red light. A lot to do with the drivers I'm sure, but I drive mine like I stole it!!
Good info, those gears are a definite factor, that's what I need, I have full bolt on, full Cat back exhaust, hemifever 93 custom tune, my best 0-60 is a 4.9, and my best 1/4 mile is a 13.83 at 102, I get a lot of haters from the V8 community, but I really don't care I enjoy my car, and what I have done to it, and you are doing big things can't wait too see that monster when it's boosted, you will have 392 scared to roll up 💯
Some great numbers
Bro i've got an R/T and hear the same from the scats, and the scats hear it from the hellcats, and the hellcats hear it from other lighter cars with the same power. Lol! Its a never ending. Just enjoy your car and keep mooding it.

The 3.92 gear on the A8 is a killer!
I wanna thank you before I go on with the mods, thank you so much for the support. You might just made someone’s day by this. Big support my brother
That’s what’s up!! I get so much hate for my v6 Durango. But it’s definitely a beast and set up better than a lot of Durango I’ve seen.
Most awesome first minute. I couldn't agree more. Let no one take your joy. My SXT is the shit. Dude your car sounds phenomenal!
Love your positivity mane it’s priceless “ be bless with what you have.” Greatest info I’ve heard in long time…
My first ride was a inline 6 68 Malibu. 🔥🔥🔥🤘😎👍👍👍
I've definitely been on this level for about a 10 years now and I've always had more fun in turbo 4s over any other engine. I do me period.
Definitely can be faster then an rt for sure with the right tune you can keep up with a lot cars you shouldn’t great video man beautiful car !

Throttle body spacers are also a cheap upgrade with the cool air intake. Catless exhaust is loud and illegal in some states. Catback is preferred
Man, I love my V6. I have a 2019 Charger GT. I'm fine with it. It's good on gas and I get a lot of looks

The whole foundation of car culture was birthed on young people with limited funds, trying to find ways to make what they had, stand out in a crowd. More than half the aftermarket came into existence due to capitalists trying to mass market what broke teens figured out in their backyards. So rep what you got. Any chump with funds can build a bolt on showpiece (or pay a shop to do it). Real enthusiasts create. Keep doing you. ❤️
I think your exhaust sounds great, I’m thinking of doing high flow cats on my Jeep. Did you find any camshafts for the V6?
I bought the 2020 challenger gt with the 3.6vvt and it has all wheel drive. I live in the north so the awd was the selling point and I didn’t realize until after that for 3grand you can supercharger it and whip a rts ass. While having better mileage and awd

Serious question. Would the engine still be reliable after tuning/rear axle... as far as oil leaking or general day to day driving

This is really nice! My dream car is the challenger but i want the gt with awd and since its a v6 this mods list will be a great help! Thanks!
in regards to the gear swap, u said 390 dif, along with the 230mm axles, that said did you do anything for the drive shaft? Also are the big brakes required? or optional? if you can be kind as to send some knowledge my way in the parts that u used just so I can get my bearings please.
Good stuff always be proud of what you got.
@@BOOSTEDLUCKEY ok thanks for the info but what would need to be changed in order for the spring not to be notched like a factory RT or Scat pack?
@@JBWHITEGT change out the spring links but that’s a lot more work
@@BOOSTEDLUCKEY You mean like the coil springs or the actual base like the rear center lower control arm.
Good motivational words, would really love to see the car...

Great video, I've wondered about that stock 3.08 gear setup and what to do about it. I heard a rumor that guys are blowing up transmissions with the Ripp superchargers. I just watched the video with you and the internet city dudes! I'm subscribed to your channel now bro!
Also I’ll make sure it’s got the plus package for the goodies
hes not wrong especially if you have an awd v6 you can make it very fast and you would have the advantage because they dont make awd v8s
Please tell me you've found sourcing on 3.90/4.10 gears for the AWD V6's. This platform is so new and rare that it's a pain.
Can you stay stock from the engine back? Do I need a Catback exhaust?? Maybe need the cat converted too, dual exhaust a must? I'm sure I need a Tune too Right?
This video was more useful to me than I thought it would be, thanks bro🙏
