Thank you so much. I'm glad that you like my recipes. Regarding your question...I've never used veg-gel before (not available here where I live) so I won't be able to tell you how much to use. It all depending on the product's setting power. I know agar agar is equal amount substitution for gelatin. But if you figure out the conversion amount, I'm sure you can use that as substitute. :)
Wow, it sure looks yummy. I'm going to make this for our new year's eve party. One qstn though, will the remaining raspberry puree not going to start to set while waiting for the 1st batch to chill for an hour or two?
Thank you. It was yummy in deed. I place the remaining raspberry puree mixture at room temperature and it didn't set until the first batch is done chilling in the fridge. Maybe it was quite warm in my kitchen. But in case if yours set up, you can slightly warm it up to a pour-able consistency. :) Hope that helps.

Thank you for trying the Mango Panna Cotta recipe and your interest in this one. 🥰 Agave as a liquid sweetener from plant. It's sold in most supermarkets and health store. If you really couldn't find it, you can substitute with honey. Besides raspberry, you can make this with strawberries instead (my kids love strawberry better than raspberry). But I personally love the tartness from the raspberry. 🥰 Wish your daughter a wonderful birthday. So sweet of you making treats for her. Happy cooking! 💗
You can substitute with equal amount of agar agar. But please keep in mind, you need to bring agar agar to a boil to release the setting power. Also, the texture would be slightly different compared to using gelatin. Hope that helps.
Love the recipe! Thanks for posting it as well, it has given me inspiration to try making my own deserts btw what kind of camera are you using? The resolution is fantastic
Thank you. Glad you like the recipe. I have a sony camcorder, nothing expensive. :) But I realized that lighting makes a big difference in the video and pictures. ;)
Agave is a natural sweetener. It's important in the recipe for the right amount of sweetness and consistency. Most health food store would have it. I love it because it also adds a hint of floral aroma beside just sweetness. You can also get it online here: goo.gl/DS8vo2 If you really need to substitute, you can use honey. That's probably the closest thing to agave. But agave is plant base. Hope that helps.
+Julia Kulyk Yes, you can use equal amount of agar agar as substitute of gelatine. But keep in mind that agar agar might not yield a tender texture as gelatine would. :)
Am I Wonder if we put the milk mixture into the glass & put in the fridge in 4 hours, how about the rest of the mixture, isn,t be hard if we wait to put in another side of the glass, I realy wonder what it could be!
@@dinahsundal2701 no, you only need 1 batch of milk mixture for this recipe. I don't understand what you mean by the other side of the glass. Here's the link to the written recipe. (It's under the video description box) utry.it/2015/12/how-to-make-raspberry-panna-cotta.html?m=1 Might have a better understanding of the recipe if you read it. Please let me know if you have questions after reading the recipe.
@@dinahsundal2701 oh I see. The raspberry mixture! I only made 1 batch. I kept the remaining mixture on the kitchen counter at room temperature and it remained liquid after 2 hours (the time it took for 1 side to set). If yours started to set, you can warm it up slightly. But I didn't have to do that at all. And please make sure your mixture is not hot if you need to reheat it.
:) There's no silly question. If you use vanilla extract instead, the vanilla aroma and flavor won't be a strong compared to vanilla bean paste. Texture should be similar, if not the same. But you do want strong vanilla flavor so it stands up to the strong flavor of raspberries though. ;)
Actually, vanilla bean paste is the "easy version" of vanilla bean. The one I use is grind up whole vanilla beans. If you use the whole vanilla bean, you need to split the bean, scrape out the seeds, add the seeds and the bean pod into the hot cream and let it steep for at least 30 minutes in order for the flavor to come out. Then you can discard the pod and continue with the recipe. And 1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste is equal to about 1 whole vanilla bean. Hope that helps.
Nurfadilah Sari Febriani Yes, you can substitute gelatin with Agar. However, the texture of the dessert might come out different. Usually gelatin yields a more silky texture while Agar is more bouncy. And please make sure the Agar mixture comes to a boil (to activate setting power) before mixing into other ingredients. Hope that helps. Happy cooking! 😉

Why did you use 1/4 cup milk? Not 1/2
I actually used 1/2 a cup of milk in the recipe. It's just that I couldn't find the 1/2 cup measuring cup that day so that I used 2 of the 1/4 cup. ;)
If you look closely, I used the 1/4 measuring cup to measure the 3/4 cup of cream as well. :D
