I don't think this guy knows how to cook a steak. The cast iron pan wasn't hot enough so that's why he didn't get a good sear. There was no mention of the oven temp or what internal temp he was looking for. He didn't even check the internal temp until it was finally resting lol. My guess is once he took the internal temp and realize he may have overcooked it (or undercooked it) he decided not to cut into it lol.
sadly done no internal temp was given in the end sear looked too light fat wasn't rendered on edges not cut to show the steaks cook we expect more from chefs
Poor initial sear. Plus If you’re going to put it in the oven for 50 minutes you might as well reverse sear it. He didn’t even cut into it because there probably was a giant grey band and small amount of medium rare in the middle. Poor video and a terrible way to cook an expensive steak
This is a sure fire way to ruin a great piece of meat. I have never cooked a steak as tough as this. It looks great out of the oven, but all the juices have been dried out of the steak. This is the worst steak I have ever cooked. Truly awful.
I was waiting for you to cut into it
So you didn't cut into the steaks so we could see how they looked.
good job on the steaks.. yummy!

He mentioned the oven temp (350 deg.) several times.
So, I'll take the temperature for medium rare - yup, looks just right. Doesn't say the temperature ... THANKS!
what temperature is the oven at??????????????????????????????????//
You certainly don't want to let you meat loaf when resting.
Why didn’t you cut it open! And taste it? I don’t want to say it was 6:17 water minutes of my time... But it was...
And you’ll never get those water minutes back
If you don't cut it open and show it, it did not happen. Try again bro.
He knew them steaks didn’t look right when he tried to sear em. He didn’t have the heart to slice into one of them cowboys…
sadly done

Don't use canola oil. Just don't use it!
He never said at what Temperature to preheat the oven at
350 deg. He said it at least twice.

I finished one in the oven around 400 or 425 for 15 minutes and it turned out great
