Exactly in the batman hush movie when Ivy controls clark to kill Bruce and selina , selina asks Bruce if he can actually take down superman with his kryptonite knuckles. He said that if superman wanted he could have killed them both a long time ago. Deep down Clark is a good person, deep down Bruce is not . A great way to show his self awareness.

Absolute powers corrupts absolutely is such a loser comeback. DC is a universe with thousands of celestials with “absolute power”. And just like humans are varies, celestials are varied as well. Some good and some bad. Corrupts absolutely is just a generalizing speck of a thought. Truth is, there would be just as much diversity, and just as much good and bad as with regular mortals. Also, Superman is not some pinnacle of moral authority either. @@thesithofearth3617 Some people are just incompatible with certain changes to them or their environment. A diease could kill people, but some can survive, if thag makes sense. Or you can say, power is his weakness
His point about Superman whining about wanting his powers back is the same essential grievance most stories have about the circular lack of accountability. People for instance balk and mistreat each other and the earth all the time but when Galactus or some other planet-ending force comes ready to wipe us out we're suddenly on our best behavior, screaming at the tops of our lungs about how humanity deserves to live. Ppl that are shocked at Batman's behavior clearly don't know the character that well. Their is a jealous streak in him when it comes to Superman, and the powers amplify what was always there.
I really like the story, but I think some of the characters should be replaced with someone else. Wonder Woman is by far more experienced than anyone else, she would have been expecting a blow, and would have deflected it. Supergirl is just as strong, fast and able, would have been more of a fight. Firestorm could have created a red sun , green lanterns could have created constructs to occupy Batman while the others restricted him. The golden magic lasso has the power to command anyone who is caught by it. Wonder Woman has fought Superman many times, and others that are as powerful and more powerful, she knows every form of hand to hand combat. The story is good, but the characters need to be swapped out.
Personally I wish the story line would have focused more on Batman and Wonder Woman going hand to hand more now that there closely equal in power. . Between both their fighting skills that should easily be it’s story of its own.
They're not equal. Superman is far stronger than Wonder Woman. Even Batman has said that Wonder Woman is the best hand to hand fighter in the League. So if they were equal in power levels then Wonder Woman would win.
@@WebbedManiac I didn’t mention Superman. Also Batman had also said Lady Shiva was second to none and he still takes her on. Even if Wonder Woman is the best at hand to hand Batman is the best strategist and tactician. Superman called Batman the most dangerous man on earth and that’s without powers.
@@IbriyGad Yeah but if it's a full 1v1 Gladiator style match then Wonder Woman has a higher chance of winning. Again, according to Batman she's "the best melee fighter in the league". Lady Shiva is dangerous cause she's also a master assassin, but Wonder Woman is 100% head-on combat focused from top to bottom. Her contingency plan literally includes putting her in an illusion where she's fighting an opponent of equal skill because nobody in the League is as skilled as her.
This is in it's own way one of Batman's greatest fears. If he ever had a choice in the matter he'd never want Superman's powers because he knows better than anyone that he'd turn out like this. He's well aware of the corruptive influence of power on the minds of men, and he's also well aware of how ambiguously he walks on the line of going too far even without powers. It's also a big part of the reason he respects Superman as much as he does. Batman would be the very first person to admit that Superman is a better person than him, the only person he'd ever admit it for. It takes someone as genuinely good natured deep down as Superman to handle the massive burden of responsibility his power brings.
Kinda, but no. Batman became crazy with power because the magical amulet took away all of his self-control. Causing his mind and emotions to become erratic. The amulet grants wishes but at a cost.
@@tsnoob4669 It's not mutually exclusive. In this specific instance it was because of a magic amulet that takes control and corrupts people, but the mainline Batman knows full well that if he were to actually gain Superman's powers without such an amulet that he'd eventually misuse them anyway. It's a big part of why he doesn't have super powers already. He's fully aware of a number of different methods he could use to gain super powers, he'd hardly be the first normal human to suddenly become super in his world. He deliberately doesn't do it because he knows he's already dangerous enough without powers. He knows how important it is to keep contingency plans for the event in which any member of the League goes rogue, including himself. Adding powers to his already impressive arsenal of gadgets and genius level improvisational and strategic capabilities in addition to him being a master of every known form of martial arts on the planet and knowing everyone else's weaknesses would simply be overkill for the other members of the league to deal with.
@@Crow_Rising That's not it, though. The reason why he doesn't get superpowers is because he would be too reliant on them. Eventually, they would get taken away. The other reason is that writers don't want to break the core characteristics of not having superpowers.

Pretty sure in the latest comics? The ones where It goes through batmans training one of his teachers were like "nope you dont get magic, People like you never end up doing good" heavily summarised but this comic kind of proves it
The Knight series explained that in order to use magic, Batman needed to let go of something, not just his "darkness." Zatara explained that either he let go of his "darkness" or he let go of all the skills and everything he worked for, so far at that point, in order to master magic. Zatara knew he wouldn't let go of his skills, that's why he refused. If he does, he would be left with nothing but his "darkness" and drive from his parent's death. This comic doesn't prove it because the context of how Batman is going crazy was cut out. Superman and Zatanna found Silver Banshee and the amulet. It's revealed that the amulet grants wishes but at a cost. For Banshee, she gets a new body, but the amulet caused the new body to rapidly age to an old lady. To the point that she's too weak to take off the amulet. For Batman, the amulet took away his self-control. Causing his mind and emotions to become erratic. This is why he was so emotional when he saw his parents. This is how Superman and Zatanna took advantage of Batman's lack of control to lower his guard.
Wonder Woman needs an upgrade in powers. Here’s why, if she has to go toe to toe with kryptonian powers; she should have more than a lasso to make the fight interesting. This doesn’t mean that she could necessarily win but have a better advantage. DC tends to make Diana too weak in comparison to Superman’s strength most of the time.
But she is a better fighter tho, superman might be stronger but he hasn't been a trained warrior since a kid. Even tho I do agree sometimes she could be buffed up, she is OP in DCeased, check it out

And the most asinine saying ever. Truth is, there would be just as much variety and flavors to power just as there is diversity to individuals. Just like there were many emperors, kings etc throughout history. Some good, some bad, some competent, some not. It is more so that people are not willing or are not comfortable to think of some higher power (aka god) that is not 100% human-serving, selfless, personality-less, slave and does anything and all to aid humans… being good. People expect perfection from higher power… but the notion of what that perfection/good is.. is very very limited and human-centric. Likewise, making an argument that “god that does not favor humans is evil”….. is very very very egotistic and self-centered view on morals. What happens if humanity’s extinction is deemed objectively good from the perspective of the universe? That a universe without humans would be far far more balanced and peaceful. People would lose their shit, that is what. They want a “feel good” god, that does everything to make THEIR life be better, doing nothing to affect their life negatively AND does not interfere in any capacity with normal/human-established order of things. Which is just a BS contradiction.

Green kryptonite radiation is poisonous to Superman, but it doesn't necessarily deprives him of powers, although it interfers with his cells ability to absorb metabolise sunlight. Red sun radiation deprives him of the sunlight he needs, but he still has some power left. The more he uses his powers under a red sun, the faster he deplets his reserves. Night and darkness affects him the same way, btw. Blue kryptonite shuts down his cells ability to absorb and metabolise sunlight as long as he keeps it on his person. In some DC Comic books, Silver K mutates baseline human physiology into kryptonian, granting them permanent Kryptonian powers. Red K has unpredictible effects, but a lot of the time it shuts down inhibitions. Light from a dwarf star supercharges a kryptonian. And I haven't even gotten to the BIZARRO variants
It seems that if Batman ever had powers he would let them go to his head and act like a real Batdick psycho! See that's why Superman has always handled those powers better than he can obviously. Also when Bats beat Clark like that he disrespected him saying these powers are wasted on you cause you mostly focus on being a normal person living a normal life when you should ALWAYS focus on stopping crime like I do. Ppl that are shocked at Batman's behavior clearly don't know the character that well. Their is a jealous streak in him when it comes to Superman, and the powers amplify what was always there.

This is 1 of my favorite Batman Superman stories. 👍🏼💯

@kingol4801 not really. The curr ent state of things in Washington D.C. is the best proof of just how accurate that statement is. Sadly it's not the only one on this planet.
Which doesn't apply here if you know the full context of the story. Superman and Zatanna found Silver Banshee and the magic amulet. They found out that the amulet grants wishes, but it comes with a cost. For Banshee, it gives her a new body, but it aged her to an old lady. To the point that she's too weak to take off the amulet. For Batman, it took away all of his self-control. Causing his mind and emotions to become erratic.
One of the best stories ever told
Batman is always right and did nothing wrong.
3:56 it won’t be enough, for all Clark’s powers one thing he was always lacking was martial skills Bruce on the other hand trained with the best fighters the earth has to make himself the best at almost everything, he even devoted time to learn how to learn so he could learn faster add that to superman’s powers and I think the only one that stands a chance is Wonder Woman as she is also trained to about the same level as Bruce (I actually love that in JLU Bruce and WW were helping to train Clark to fight as been the strongest guy in the room is fine but when your fighting people on the same level you need more than just Kryptonian powers).
Zatana be wearing those fishnets.
mmmm
Yeah um, Batman wasn't fighting out of character. He knew they would be too busy saving Hawkgirl to deal with him.
see Clark Kent is nothing without his power while Bruce, in the other hand is the real deal without or with superpower
Batman is nothing without his money lol
@abhinav2500 One reason why Bruce was in the league of the assassin. money = power, & Ras' al ghul wanted Bruce to be his successor he would've alot of money by another way
@@tiwill0709 Dude how do you think Batman found the League in the first place? Because of his money.
If he didn't have money he wouldn't have been able to travel the world for his training. So Ra's Al Ghul would never have known about Bruce Wayne.
@@WebbedManiac He's still an expert martial artist and hand to hand combatant as well as a brilliant detective the money just makes him cooler
See that was really rude and that's why I don't like Batman these recent days being such an arrogant rude selfish Batdick who doesn't know what real feelings are anymore being so unbalanced.
You just typed a whole bunch of nothing.
@@tajaymais9 No those are true facts.
@@tajaymais9 it's written in this comic dude . Read it . Batman was a dick to superman
@@tajaymais9 and you said also NOTHING.
This story was taken out of context. The uploaded deliberately cut out the part where Superman and Zatanna found Silver Banshee in her new body with the magic amulet. They found out that the amulet grants wishes but at a cost. For Banshee, it gave her a new body, but it aged her, causing her to be too weak to take it off. For Batman, it took away all of his self-control, causing his mind and emotions to be erratic. You would knownthis if you actually read the comics, instead of relying on videos. This happened in Superman/Batman issues 53-56.
Batman having superpowers of superman becomes a nightmare for the villains and bad guys
Batman doesn’t need powers to beat up the entire Justice League at once! Why? Because he’s Batman!
;-)
Except he does. Or tech, he needs the tech at least
There is this thing called will, in every d&d game ever. Batman automatically critical hits on everything. Tehe.
When superman finally tried to permanently stop crime Batman loses his mind.
When Batman got superman's powers he immediately berates superman for not using his powers for more.
this guy is just a fucking mess. I have no Idea why people worshiped batman that much.
probably because most people are also fucking messes.
Wow it's almost like they're different stories by different writers
Idiot
This video cut out the most important part of the story. Batman didn't go crazy because of the powers. He went crazy because the amulet took away all of his self-control. It didn't show how Superman and Zatanna found out how the amulet is able to grant wishes, but it would come at a cost.
1:10 Clark is such a good friend omg man. W
I always enjoy any DC story.
"Power corrupts...and absolute power corrupts absolutely"
Which doesn't apply to this within the context. The amulet took away all of Batman's self-control. Causing his mind and emotions to become erratic.
batsuit with superman logo go crazy
Superman with a different outfit was a nice change. He's no longer looking like Cool aid man. He also isn't looking like some super patriot for America. He actually looks like a threat to someone.
JLA: Alfred, talk sense into Batman. Tell him to turn himself in or we'll have to do it by ourselves.
Alfred. Lmao good luck
Lmao he beat up Nightwing, his son. You're crazy if you think Alfred could talk him down.
@@WebbedManiac and batman took the entire league down himself, your point??
@@IAmSuperVegito My point is that you're crazy if you think that this Batman would ever listen to Alfred.
@@WebbedManiac Are you dumb? That's literally what I just said with my original comment. League telling Alfred to talk Batman down and Alfred telling them "good luck with that". To a person with a single brain cell will imply that Alfred said "he's not gonna listen". Wish people online were half as smart as a hedgehog so they could read.
@abhinav2500 I think he would listen, he just wouldn't agree.
I don't get why most of you guys don't CLEARLY tell us which books these stories can be found.....No I actually DO, " understand" but its frustrating, because if its supposed to get our interest, then people would Naturally want to read the book, too.
The name of this comic series starts at Batman/Superman issue 53! It’s also in the description if ever need to refer back to it.
But you’re right, I’ll start referring to the book name in the actual video in the future
@@theheroinformant Thanks Brother, Have no idea how many times these channels have made me order the books. Ive got thousands, but when its characters I like, doing something pivotal....and I DIDNT know about......Im in. Thanks. Subbed.
Superman is a hero partly because he holds himself back from harming others as much as he can.
All Batman really was doing was flying around saving people 24/7 and the other hero’s started hating
And put Nightwing in a coma
So basically "Girls get it done"
Only if they're Super.
Wonder Woman would never jump Batman
Well..
"Superman show how much of a hero he is going out without his powers! He could be killed"... like everyday for Batman? Nightwing? Green arrow?
So he goes out one time without powers, with one of the most powerful magic user of the world, and this shows how much of a hero he is? Cmon...
But he's going after Banshee. You know like Batman did at the start of this.
Yes, really. Because he didn't even have batman skills or training at that time.
@@if7723 Except he didn't do anything. Zatanna did all of the work. Banshee was stuck as an old lady because the amulet grants wishes but comes with a cost. It gave her a body, but it ages her. So Zatanna used her magic to release her, and she left. While Superman is standing to the side doing nothing.
