K&N fixed the design flaw. I have to issues with rubbing or noise with mine. Just a heads up for future buyers. Install took me about 25 minutes. To take out the tabs with out breaking them hold the top of them with one finger and slowly pop out with a flat head.

Thought the areas you were driving around in looked familiar and then I saw the Iowa license plate in the video, I'm from the Fort Dodge area originally haha. Appreciate the videos man, keep it up. Have you thought about installing the Borla exhaust that came out recently?
I dont plan on doing anything with the exhaust. I drive this car a lot and dont want to risk an exhaust drown. I also prefer the sound of the intake more. Is your accord white?
@@HumbleAcres Right on, plus the exhaust ain't exactly cheap. My accord is black, which I love because it looks awesome, but hate because it's impossible to keep clean. Considering either having it ceramic coated or doing it myself.
Sam Hanish Yeah try the borla exhaust its so worth it. Drives very smooth and sounds like a beast. im waiting on this intake to arrive so i can install it
Great install video not everyones doing this specific model so im satisfied. it seems the design that i got in the mail was fixed from that issue you were suffering from in the end of the video with the welding. lol poor you.. i had a washer fall into the little air hole under the splash guard where the air filter goes. i was pissed but it turns out that air hole doesnt lead to the engine its isolated . Thanks bro!
Hey there! I just installed mine and drove around for the first time. I’m hearing some kind of weird suction or humming noise around 2000rpm. Is that normal? Did put rubber between the spots you wielded
when you close the hood, the rubber seal its going to stop the vibrations, you should try push a little bit harder, so the rubber band in the bottom, gets tight, the same way the original was, thats why it was so hard to you at the beginning to take it out

I really haven't noticed much of a change in mpg. The only reason it may go down a little bit more now would be because of the fun sounds it make when you get on it, but over all if I drive it the same as I did before the mods there is no difference.
The purge from bov Recirculates back in to the intake jackass I know the difference from intake and bov sounds I was just saying the after market bov ain’t worth the money they just come with problems

It’s good that they fixed it but there are still a lot of people with a faulty product. How did you find out they fixed it?
@@HumbleAcres my gaps between plates on the box were further apart than yours. I have zero rattle or abnormal noises.

The intake makes a loud suction sound because you removed the baffling the oem intake had. I personal love the sound but its not for everybody.

It probably does suck in more hot air then it did before while sitting still. while moving I would bet its about the same.
It does suck in hot air. Which is probably why K&N runs all their dyno tests with the vehicle's hood open. : o

You will get some nice induction sound but you won't be able to notice a change in hp. Just my opinion.

no I had warrenty work done after having this installed.
I believe you have to use the flat head to pop the center portion of the plastic snaps up. The you can remove the rest of the fastener.
