    You should just disconnect the MAF sensor cable and leave the sensor installed in the airbox until after you have everything removed from the car. Its far more protected than having it sitting in the engine bay still hooked up to the wiring harness. Once you have everything out you can swap the sensors over to the new intake.

    This intake is the only one that takes full advantage of that stock air inlet, and does it really well.
    I feel like it has to be the one making the most gains. Until someone comes out with like a massive short ram with a similar cai box.

      Makes the least power out of the PRL HVI, Mishimoto and Takeda. Actually loses power over stock. Dyno proven.

After struggling with the first clip, I ended up cutting or snipping a portion of the Christmas tree off at the point and they all fit. Before that, it was a shitty to get them to fit. I think Takeda could have supplied better hardware or put just a little more thought into this system.

      I would say hybrid. All the other intakes on the market are exposed filters making them short ram. This intake bolts directly to the core support and air is fed directly from the front of the car. So although you don’t have piping and a filter that sit in colder air, the incoming charged air is really only coming from non heat soaked areas.

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      TheRealJordi - Personally I choose KTuner because of the price point and the tune. It pushes slightly more power then Hondata. But honestly they do the same thing so picking one over the other isn’t a bad thing. They both have solid reviews and a good following. I just liked that you got a touchscreen display with KTuner for less then hondata’s MSRP. Plus with KTuner you can utilize all 3 drive modes on stage 2. (Eco, Normal, Sport) where as Hondata you can only use Normal and Sport. There are times when I didn’t feel like boosting more then stock numbers so a simple press of the eco button restored me back to stock numbers until I was ready to push it hard again. I actually really miss the feeling of the car when it was max boost with quick spool and throttle responsiveness 2 checked off. The car was night and day fast and so much more responsive.

      YOUSEF ALFILFEL - I’m shooting some videos now brotha. With the windows down you can’t really hear it. Once the windows come down it sounds like the car has a huge turbo. I’ll post a video of the sweet sounds it makes later today or tomorrow. Just trying to get useable video at the moment.

    I was thinking of getting an aE intake for my 1.5t accord but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea

    • @Fahrenheit_Motorsports
      @Fahrenheit_Motorsports  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will say this. At first I was disappointed with the sound. I know it performs well but the sound is what I wanted. After installed the ktuner back to my car the intake is really loud. The additional boost is putting in work with the intake system plus my intake temps aren’t getting effected like an exposed filter setup. 🤙🏽

      Fahrenheit Motorsports thanks bro I will most likely install a takeda intake system on my 1.5 thank you this video convinced me that I should too bro keep up the good work g😩😤

      I didn’t notice much improvement in performance. The sweet sweet turbo noises got louder but hard to tell on the performance fact. I will tell you Ktuner was the one add on I could feel 100%.

      skyghost - I tried to record some today with the windows down but my phone and camera only picked up wind noise. I plan on doing some drive bys tomorrow and strapping the GoPro somewhere I can pick up sound but shield from wind. When I recorded with the window up it was really hard to pick up the intake.

    I'm sorry to sound harsh - but that red paint job did not turn out as expected - the whole thing looks jankey and half assed. Just go buy the red cover everybody else buys - the one from the Civic Type R factory unit.

    Obviously it's what you want to do but I don't really see much of a difference Except for the style thats not really worth changing what you already had . Agassi if increase the performance alsi the noise or the sound being any different to me seems like a waste of money My opinion.

Feel free to post a link to this video in this chat showing exactly how you remove it without moving the harness. Thanks man! 🤙🏽
