Billy Sheehan is pretty awesome. I love how he and Steve Vai play about as fast as they can in unison during that tune. Great stuff. The first DLR album Eat 'Em & Smile is a classic!
I don't think anyone else's pickups videos compare to yours, MJR. Not only is the commentary excellent and sometimes hilarious, but the gameplay for each individual game is absolutely superb. Keep up the fantastic work with the channel and podcast, my friend!
I would never show that footage on YT and I did some research as to where she is in the game. She doesn't show up until Round 4, which is quite far into the game.
I plan to replay Bloodlines again with the mods installed. Right now I'm just playing with the community patch to fix most of the bugs. Loving the game!
I don't know why but I love watching these metal jesus videos, think it's probably a mix of nostalgia and the fact this metal jesus dude just seems really really likeable 🙂
Once you start playing and collecting shmups, you will find there are tons of great games released in the genre. Glad you are digging Raiden. It's definitely one of my favorites!
Speaking of hair metal, definitely check out the band Firehouse and their 1st album. It was technically released in 1990, but it's surprisingly great if you like that style.
BTW: You have mentioned the Raiden series some time ago so when I saw a PC version of Raiden II I've bought it instantly. Thank you so much for introducing the series to me. I've felt in love with this game - it's absolutely amazing. The music is in CD-Audio tracks and the game works on Win7 x64 with X360 controller - whoa. I didn't know that old shoot 'em up games can be that entertaining.
First off your pick-up videos are the best on youtube, interesting to watch and extremely informatitive as well so please keep them coming! Second, I am really excited to hear you will be doing an updated room tour, I'm very much looking fwd to that video. Lastly, you shld take some time to look over the Sega CD library. While we all know there are many bad games, it also has some hidden gems in the mix. If you love shooters, check out Keio Flying Squadron, its fun and entertaining!
wow a cool collection of games and vinyl. the commodore 128 was the highlight for me though, being a commodore 64 and 128d user since 1982 and still play it today with hundreds of disc based games in my collection, some boxed. will be showing mine shortly. keep the vids coming and thanks for liking my suggestions for forgotten racing games series
Awesome video and game/album pickups. The only problem I had was the audio sounds a bit distorted, but I was still able to listen to it at a lower level.
I think I still have my Strike Commander booklet somewhere. I love that it´s written like a magazine for mercenaries. Mine was the cd-rom version with the voice pack and stealth missions. It was probably the first flight simulator with a story worth mentioning.
We haven't had the distraction of Cable TV since the 90s. So when most people are watching bad TV shows or sports after work, we are playing video games (or listening to music or painting). It's as simple as that.
VtM:Bloodlines was an amazing game. I picked it up a launch and still have my copy complete. It's got some amazing replayability, since there's a couple different vampire classes. There's a huge mod community and there's still updates coming out for it.
Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift 2 is probably one of my personal favorite racing games on the PS2! It is very difficult and has a bit of a hard learning curve but is overflowing with content. Hope you enjoy it!
mag max was the bomb when I was a kid, rented it all the time at the local movie rental store. Some good albums, a lot of the hair metal bands were actually metal bands that wanted to make it by putting out ballads, really heavy gems on some of their stuff. I recommend Warrant's Uncle Tom's Cabin, David Lee Roth's Paradise, and you can't go wrong with Def leppard (their last Album "Songs from the sparkle lounge" was really good. Great Video MetalJesusRocks!!!
I have that white-snake album on top of my cupboard along with some others, getting quite a collection lately, also you have a very nice set of games, I had a lot before my house was robbed, they took a lot of rare games I've had, sucks but I'm starting over again.
PC games can be worth quite a bit. For instance, a boxed copy of Gabriel Knight 1 recently sold on Ebay for $150. This is the original twisty box. Well, I have one SEALED & unopened...
That was a Great Video,You found some Awesome Stuff I Love Twisted Sister and I was listening to Dee on Siruis Radio for awhile but after my wife passed away I kinda lost all intrest in everything,it's going on a year next month and Im trying to get back into stuff, its really hard when your Best Friend is not with you and with all the BS life puts on your plate and you have to deal with it all alone! I almost sold my Game collection but realized she wouldnt have wanted that! Love you and Paul!
I had a poster of the "The dark queen of Krynn" game cover. It was in an issue of the german game magazine "PlayTime" back in early/mid 90s. Hung on my door for years because it looked pretty cool. Maybe i still have it somewhere between my old magazines...
I LOVE those gold box games. Some of my absolute favorites as kids. Especially the Krynn Series. I played through all of those and imported the characters throughout my games. So much fun and so many hours wasted on those. I think Death Knights of Krynn is probably my favorite.
I remember when Vampire the Masquerade PC game came out for a long time it had a game breaking glitch that when it happened, and it often did, your save file was done for.
4:02 both pooyan and roc and rope are both from konami...and yes, both were arcade games in the early 80s....in fact, both these games are on the compilation: Konami Arcade Classics for psone. (which I own ;) )
Barbie Horse Adventures is notorious for being among the first of less than 40 Xbox games that were initially backward-compatible on the Xbox 360. More games were obviously added after that, but I guess the game just got a cult following for that, and it doesn't hurt that it probably didn't sell that well either. That being the case, there probably aren't that many copies out in the wild.
just bought echo night beyond and it was not cheap and boy was it rare!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't find it any but only on Amazon, ebay and lukie games but it was supper expensive but i did luck out and found one for 65 in near mint condition that some one wanted it sold right away so i didn't have to pay 100+. some people are asking 300 for it (wow!!!)
Holy cow a boxed vice project doom soooo rare here in the u.k , its one of my favorite games of all time , really interesting video and makes me feel better about the amount of games I buy :)
Roc 'n' Rope and Pooyan are both arcade conversions ...too bad the Atari 2600 doesn't do justice graphically to those games but at least it kept the gameplay ...awesome video MJR !
metaljesus do u have wing commanders prophecy for gba great game for real cheap around two dollars online and I kno u like shoot em ups and wing commander so ur kinda game
hey metaljesusrocks, im a big fan or ur channel and ur videos..ive been in quite the racing mood myself lately...was just wondering if you had heard about Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed? It's suppose to be coming out in december i believe..not sure if youre a huge kart racing fan but you should definetly look into it if you are..its sort of a diddy kong style throwback with karts, hover crafts, and planes and u can switch between the 3 mid-race..really looks interesting..keep rockin!
Very good advice from Gamester81, "motocross maniacs" is one of the best early release for the game boy, time to take out the link cable and challenge Drunk Master Paul
Seeing as you are into racing games maybe you can help me identify one. It was definitely in 3D and from what I remember of the graphics it was probably on the PS1/N64. Possibly the SNES. All I remember about the game was there was one level me and my cousins played to death which wasn't a race at all. It was just this open area with tons of ramps, raised platforms, loops, etc.. We used to drive around playing tag with the cars using the ramps, etc. to get away from each other. Any ideas?
Serious Sam isn't all about non-stop action. Like any good Doom clone, there are periods of calm, giving you a chance to catch your breath & look for hidden areas. In fact, I recommend really taking your time to explore the very first level in the game & find all the secrets. Amusing & well worth it. :)
@MetalJesusRocks Have you played Raiden IV and/or Raiden Fighter Aces on the Xbox 360? I have been wanting to pick them up for quite some time now. I was waiting for that inevitable (usually) price drop. But, that has not happened. IV is currently $59 and Aces $43 on Amazon. I suppose I could pick them up used, but I prefer new when I can find them. I've heard good things, but curious to hear opinions from fellow SHMUP fans.
man i used to have a commodore 128 back in the day, heres a little easter egg for ya,when you boot it up in 128 mode, type SPRDEF then hit enter and you get a built in drawing tool. ps please do a review of the atari flashback it sounds intresting.
Kingdom come were a friggin awesome band, they were not a hair metal band at all and weer totally ahead of their time. They had a special sound and married blues guitar with mellodic metal in a way i have not heard before, they deserved so much more respect than they got and should not be overlooked
You will have fun with Tokyo Extreme Drifters I think. I played it once and really liked it. Also there is Tokyo Extreme Racer games for the Dreamcast which are good. I also have the Vampire game on PC, haven't played yet though. I did play the Live Action RPG version of it with friends in the past though, a lot of fun.
I had the Zelda Collection for the Gamecube and got rid of it! The WORST part about it, is that I knew that it was a bit rare. It's amazing how so many games and peripherals have found their way out of my "collection" that are now worth a whole lot. I'm kicking myself...
more beauty racing games like copy of Ridge Racer, and games for NES who i try play more of this in SUP handheld console,of Heavy Metal albums i was surprised what you have Twisted Sister(Still Hungry),they was exactly one of my favourite heavy metal band
Hey, Jason. I am a big fan of your channel, actually PeteDorr brought me here and I am glad he did. I need a little help. I was really into shmups lately and was thinking about buying a Sega console because I never owned one and I heard they are good for shooters. I just don't know which one to get. I live in Israel and I need to go to ebay and explicitly search for games, garage sales are not an option. I was really looking at Saturn but imports are kinda costy. So: DC, Saturn or MegaDrive? Thx
OOOHHH! Pool of Radiance for NES your soooo lucky!! I would love to get that and the rest of the AD&D games for NES...I think Pool of Radiance and Hillsfar are on the exp. side...So your gonna do a review on that now right??? RIGHT??!! : P
Billy Sheehan is pretty awesome. I love how he and Steve Vai play about as fast as they can in unison during that tune. Great stuff. The first DLR album Eat 'Em & Smile is a classic!
I'm glad you enjoy the videos! They take a surprising amount of work to capture all the footage and edit. But, they are a labor of love :)
You're right: it's off his Crazy from the Heat EP. I knew it sounded familar
I am planning on doing a updated Game Room tour in the coming weeks. That will be a lot of fun, as I've added tons of stuff in the last year.
MetalJesus is such a down to earth guy.
Thanks for the heads up! We've had problems with Wordpress in the past... I'll just forward the domain to TH-cam for now. Thanks!
I don't think anyone else's pickups videos compare to yours, MJR. Not only is the commentary excellent and sometimes hilarious, but the gameplay for each individual game is absolutely superb. Keep up the fantastic work with the channel and podcast, my friend!

my boyfriend won't take me to get food because he is watching these videos. 😞 you rock tho, metal Jesus.
Did you ever get that food?
I do wonder...
I also wonder
Ashley .Nicole Lmao
she never responded... must not have
I don't know why but I love watching these metal jesus videos, think it's probably a mix of nostalgia and the fact this metal jesus dude just seems really really likeable 🙂
...also, I noticed that big gaming web sites like GameSpot & IGN still have video and screenshots of the game up on their pages. So I think I'm OK.
That game looks incredibly SWEET! I will probably buy that Day 1 when it releases.
I love collecting for the original Xbox as there are so many great games! I'm already up to 172 games now.
Putting the gameplay footage in makes pickup videos waaaaaay better. Wish others did too. But glad u do
Your videos make my day Metal Jesus!
BTW: You have mentioned the Raiden series some time ago so when I saw a PC version of Raiden II I've bought it instantly. Thank you so much for introducing the series to me. Metal Jesus. I'm a new subscriber!! Love your reviews and LOVE the music taste. Dude cant wait for another video. Keep kickin ass man.
I should learn to never, say never with you. You're like an enigma wrapped in bacon cooked for too long with man sauce.
Awesome video and game/album pickups. The only problem I had was the audio sounds a bit distorted, but I was still able to listen to it at a lower level.
Run Like Hell also came out for the PS2
I think I still have my Strike Commander booklet somewhere. I love that it´s written like a magazine for mercenaries. Mine was the cd-rom version with the voice pack and stealth missions. It was probably the first flight simulator with a story worth mentioning.
Kickstart 2 on the C64 was an excellent game. Spent many hours mastering that beauty!
@metaljesusrocks great vid man and super jealous with that SNES pickup I'm trying to get my SNES collection growing as we speak

I loved Motorcross Maniacs back in the day, a friend of mine had it. I didn't know what the name was but now I do so I can look it up :D
Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift 2 is probably one of my personal favorite racing games on the PS2! It is very difficult and has a bit of a hard learning curve but is overflowing with content. Hope you enjoy it!
Video games & vinyl......in one video!? AWESOME!!
very cool pick-ups man, really makes me want to go out and get an atari

Funny I just picked up a Atari flashback 1 in the box at a goodwill yesterday. Awesome.
subscribed, love your videos dude!!
Love your “so bad is good” games 😂
That was a Great Video,You found some Awesome Stuff
I Love Twisted Sister and I was listening to Dee on Siruis Radio for awhile but after my wife passed away I kinda lost all intrest in everything,it's going on a year next month and Im trying to get back into stuff, its really hard when your Best Friend is not with you and with all the BS life puts on your plate and you have to deal with it all alone!

Great pick ups on the Vinyls. IMHO Hair bands are pretty tame compared to current the current stuff.
Gamester81 brought me to your channel. And I'm happy he did
Can't wait 'til your hair metal retrospective! I still rock out to that stuff!
Beetle adventure racing rocks!! Glad you picked it up! :D
Another cool racing game is Trackmania forever for the PC.
Awesome games and sweet vinyl pick-up's!
I LOVE those gold box games. Some of my absolute favorites as kids. Especially the Krynn Series. I played through all of those and imported the characters throughout my games. So much fun and so many hours wasted on those. I think Death Knights of Krynn is probably my favorite.
In the words of the great Weird Al: Dare to be Stupid! :)
You and me have a lot in common. We love retro games and vinyl!
awesome collection.
The ship in Mag Max looks kinda like a Snowspeeder from Star wars
I remember when Vampire the Masquerade PC game came out for a long time it had a game breaking glitch that when it happened, and it often did, your save file was done for.

Omg Pooyan used to play that game so much back in the days
Very good advice from Gamester81, "motocross maniacs" is one of the best early release for the game boy, time to take out the link cable and challenge Drunk Master Paul
I'm not big into racing games, but Beetle Adventure Racing is one i really enjoyed.

Vapor Trail looks rad!
Love your videos mjr. Your a great host. More videos!

I would to play a game of D&D with you and your friends while listening to some old school metal and hard rock.
Never played the drift games, but really like Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Loved the upgrade/challenge systems. I'm terrible at drift racers.
Beetle Adventure Racing is amazing
Your videos are awesome
man i used to have a commodore 128 back in the day, heres a little easter egg for ya,when you boot it up in 128 mode, type SPRDEF then hit enter and you get a built in drawing tool.

Holy fck! Motocross maniacs was my fav GB game for a while when I was a kid. Totally forgot about it until I saw this, thanks! :D
Kingdom come were a friggin awesome band, they were not a hair metal band at all and weer totally ahead of their time. I love the Top Gear games on the N64 but they are really hard to find over hear i also loved pod racer
I had the Zelda Collection for the Gamecube and got rid of it! The WORST part about it, is that I knew that it was a bit rare.
It's amazing how so many games and peripherals have found their way out of my "collection" that are now worth a whole lot. I'm kicking myself...
Magmax is cool, the ship has parts you need to collect on the way and it becomes a robot, you just dodged one of them on your clip.
You have such a vast collection of retro and neo-games...so what retro game sre you playing now???
MotorStorm Arctic Edge on the PS2 is VERY rare here in the UK!
dont forget the amazing bassist off the DLR album!
more beauty racing games like copy of Ridge Racer, and games for NES who i try play more of this in SUP handheld console,of Heavy Metal albums i was surprised what you have Twisted Sister(Still Hungry),they was exactly one of my favourite heavy metal band
There's some cool games there
can you make a video about all your n64 racing games? ( you mentioned you have a lot of them )
I just got Pursuit Force, sweet. It's cool thus far.
cool pickups
Combat cars looks like micro machines, which is a great multiplayer
Hey, Jason. I am a big fan of your channel, actually PeteDorr brought me here and I am glad he did. I need a little help. Robbed?!? Ugh...that truly sucks. Sorry to hear that.
Great deal on the Zelda game!
stunt racer on the cheap.. lol - now it's like $140+ I think..
