the second splitter you got looks absolutely amazing!!!!! if I had this car I would definitely do this! boosts resale value by a ton! and it didn't really looks like tremendous hard work, but sure was worth it!

Looks good. I just picked a 08 up with140,000 km love the car the 2.4 jtdm is amazing and the handling is fantastic at high speeds. The interiors are top class. Actually here in italy the prices are going up on these cars as .ire people start to u destiny them. A great value.

Hi Ric. Just found this vid whilst searching for something else 159 related. Still own this car. You did it proud mate. Having the roof done again when my mate can be bothered to fit me in. I don't use it much but it doesn't matter. It's just nice having it on my drive!

Really like the front splitter (the second one) and the spoiler...where did you get it from? as have been keeping an eye out for some nice looking ones but cant seem to find any that don't look cheap.Was it easy to install?
MaxtonDesigns for all the splitters. Simply bolts on
Great build! Where are those DRL's from? I really like the "Angel Eye" look but can't seem to find a good answer online. Were they just a straight swap or did you need to add extra wiring?
They were from eBay, I decided to buy drl controllers so that they dimmed when the main lights came on and so that they were on all the time. Very simple to wire in
Looks great. Angel eyes lights would make it even better, but only if they are legal in your country, in mine they are not :(

Thank you. Never had any issues with clearance and we have alot of speed bumps around here so you should be fine. The car was lowered 15 or so mil aswell

You also have good taste and great attention to detail, I liked how you pinstriped the Italian flag on the front splitter, very small detail that makes a big difference. And also very good choice with the spacers, not too much, just 👌🏽 perfect.
What size spacers did you use front / back ? I want to do mine.

DRL’s are just off eBay, search for LED halos. Spacers were also off eBay, 20mm front / 12mm Rear. Car was also lowered on Novitec 25mm lowering springs.

how do you find the Novitec lowering springs? debating whether to put some on mine. keep hearing conflicting reports about ride comfort. some say it's fine and some say your teeth fillings will be at risk. how much did you lower by?
I wouldn't. If you are taking it up to high speeds. I prefer the factory german engineered suspension but i take my jtdm upto 240kph sometimes for a low out
I couldn’t fault them, in terms of ride quality - slightly stiffer but not at all unbearable. Novitec are German and do a lot of R&D before bringing a product to market so don’t fear

Where did you get those tinted headlights? I tried searching for them. Can't find them anywhere.

Appreciate that, sadly I don’t own the car anymore though, replaced it with an i30N as it became too expensive to maintain but it was a brilliant car! Hope you enjoy yours 👌🏼

How much has it cost you in just repairs over ownership and how long you had it?
I had it for nearly 5 years (It’s sold now) and apart from the usual stuff, it cost me a clutch £1,300 and that’s it.

Michael Arthurs Yes I did, it’s not difficult at all. You’ve just got to be careful you don’t over stretch it when heating it

Wheels are the stock 19” Ti wheels and the spacers are Rear - 12mm Front - 15mm

What are these led halo drls?
I can’t give you any specific measurements but if you type in LED halo rings on eBay, that’s basically what they are. I glued them to the outside of the fog light and wired them into the side lights

dude your missing dual exhaust from the 2.4 lt very easy to install you just need Y pipe and the 2 mufflers!!

The 2.4 sounds too good it has no differences in the shape to the 1.9. this 1.9 was a really nice build though. Absolutely lovely can't wait to get ours back on the road

Relatively low mileage ones are quite highly priced. Mine had done nearly 160,000 miles though so it was never going to fetch much. As soon as I put it up for sale on the Alfabook Facebook page I had about 80 people wanting it from me within an hour, I only posted it for £650 without an MOT and yeah I had people bidding against others and ended up with £1900

I own a red AR 159 SW TI. There is a saying about money can't buy non material things. In this case - taste. You ruined a beautiful car with you rice mods and that makes me sic that you did that to an Alfa. :(
I appreciate you taking the time to point that out, I must say though I’ve only ever had overwhelmingly positive feedback (in fact your the first to be negative about it) so it must be a case of (like you say) individual taste - everyone’s is different. The car isn’t in my ownership now, which should please you.

Can you please tell me how did you tint headlights? I’d like to do something similar with my fog lights..
It’s called FlyEye tint. It’s vinyl with lots of little holes in so keeps it road legal

They are the original fog lights just with LED halos stuck on them. The halos I purchased off eBay, you just need to work out the diameter of the fog light and then glue the halos on. They were wired to a DRL controller that kept them on all the time unless the engine was switched off just like normal DRL’s
