I am from Ipoh and owns a 159 for 7 years now. It already clocked 255,000km on odo. The best looking Alfa and reliable car. Spare parts leave it Goodworks Puchong, the only name I trust.

@@wongalwin please check the gear box. City driving kill the gear and clutch pump.
Another will be the fuel pump. Other than that not a problem, the timing chain and gasket for AR159 should last forever.

Alwin Wong check the engine support frame...its well known prone to rust. Best to take it off when you can and have it properly rustproofed and waxoyled. Also check for suspension bushes as 159 are heavy cars. Maybe invest in polybushes all round. Do all these and you will have a reliable 159. My personal fav will be the 2.4 JTDm ...remap it and it will pretty much leave most cars behind. Good luck.

I do hope Alfa Romeo made a comeback in Malaysia. I love Alfa Romeo. I do understand some customer sentiments due to it’s badge showing flag of Milan. Alfa Romeo need to expand it’s range to compete with German counterparts.

Nice car bro!! I also own a 159 tbi ti.. it has 1750 cc petrol engine making 200 hp 32,7 kg torque on paper, but 220hp and 35 kg torque on dyno.. all factory specs and after 106.000 km on the clock, it stills drives like new!!! The only problem that I had was a cracked fuel pump at 99.000 km.. other than that..nothing..!! Greetings from Greece!!!!

Thanks bro! Mine is a 2007 with 170k km on it. The difference is mainly on the exterior trim, interior and sport suspension.

I didn't know that Alfa Romeo sold so many cars în Malaysia! I think the models are more little bit more expensive that Europe! Anyway, 159 was (and still is) my dream car! That i own an Peugeot 307 HDI :))!!!

I think there some estates in Malaysia, however they are privately brought into Malaysia. Sime Darby did not sell them.

Hmmm very hard to estimate. But i do a lot of preventive maintenance so mahal sikit. Pusat service okay, but kena kenal org so that diorg boleh recommend.

Usually I source my own parts. Depends on the models actually. You can still find parts relatively easy here.

Yg perasan tahun 2010 ada sunroof ..steering pun bulat xde shape dengan aircond belakang ada adjust control dan seat depan xde elektronik..Klau tahun 2011 xde sunroof tapi seat depan ada elektronik steering dia pon nampak mcm sporty skit tpi aircond belakang xde adjust control.. mmg spec dia lain2 ke?

When I can afford it probably in 4-5 years I think I will buy the 3.2. There might be som reliability issues. Mostly the ''tech stuff' sometimes breaks. Right now a censor is broken in my dads car so it always shows that the car boot is open even if it isn't. There has also been some problems with the oil temperature censor as well but that is fixed now. About the engine - Have heard that the Diesel engine is very good and realiable. Dont know about the Petrol engine but my dad haven't had any issues with it. Dont know how much it costs to keep it running, but I can ask him when I see him next weekend. But buy it for the looks and not the performance.
