Also just to note: don’t be afraid to use a little more glue than I did because one of mine have come loose in the lens and opening that back up to re-glue that is a headache 🥲 sooo yea a lil more glue should do the trick 👌
Hey Man so glad to see some new 159 content. Im currently in the process of making my own custom valved exhaust. Looking forward to seeing more content from you.
Your Videos are awesome. So well edited and really nice to watch. Keep going, you deserve a lot more attention. The headlight mod is looking absolutely sick and I definitely want to do it to my Alfa 159 too
Nice, just inspired me to buy one, just got myself a 2009 with the 1.9 diesel. So beautiful! Under 80K miles, going to follow this journey and likely do some small mods along the way. Thanks!
Make sure you are using a proper LED driver, not straight onto 12v, otherwise they wont last long. The drivers will strobe the LED's very quickly with PWM, but it will make them last a lot longer. In addition, DRLs should dim when headlights are on, otherwise you blind other road users. I've actually got some custom drivers somewhere I never used on my Brera from 'Project Halo'.
Thank god algorithm spawned your channel on my feed! This stuff is amazing, I got the same car btw. I think the headlights were better as intended originally but rest of the stuff is sick! Previous owner of my car was a 50 year old dude who now owns Tonale and Giulia Veloce, he actually did the carbon wrap on interior pieces himself back in 2014 lol. Keep on the good work!! Amazing channel
Watching these videos as I’m eagerly awaiting my 159 1750 TBI to be delivered tomorrow, can’t wait. Quite a decent engine but the insurance is uncanny as an 18 year old 🫠
I own myself a 06' 159 and already did some mods with it :D I went with LED H7 retrofits in front - halos aren't too legal in most of EU (tbh neither are LED retrofits :P ) but it's somewhat permanent modification... But well, tail light LED mod might be a bit more tricky than you think ;) Removing lamps is way easier, but it's bollocks with electronics - you can't just slap LED bulbs cause CANBUS will go crazy, and some LED bulbs won't completely turn off and be lit dim even with car turned off. You will have to put resistors inline for each connector, so these are 6 resistors in total - so thats a lot of tinkering, cutting cables and soldering it back. I have been planing on doing so for a while now, just can't find time and motivation so I will gladly get to know how it goes for you :D
Do let me know if you attempt it! So far so good for me! Only thing that’s gone wrong so far is the halo has unstuck and gotten lose inside the headlight unit because there wasn’t enough glue 🤦♂️
Hi, I have some really dumb questions about as this area is not my skill, but want to learn and try it as I love my 159. So, I've got this light kit too from same link. For the ones who conencted this kit, do I assume that two wires from each ring for the white light (DRL) are connected to the parking light wires and we would remove the bulb altogether? Then for the indicator wires, because all the rings can light up as indicators, you choose whichever or how many you want all three or 2/1, plus remove the bulb. I assume we keep the dipped beam bulb still connected? Are there any electronics to tuen on DLR automatically, or do we just turn on parking lights when needed? Thanks
I can't completely recall my exact setup, but i believe it was 1 wire tapped into the indicator wire that connects to the bulb, 1 wire to the DRL bulb light cable and 1 wire for ground. However because the kit has a little control box thingy whatever you want to call it, its the only connection you can make to the wires because the halos all plug into the box with connects, if that makes any sense.
may I just ask, is there any shadow on the light strobe?? I live in Slovenia where rules are preaty stright.... and I just want to know if the rings interfere with the light (height and power), you know light beam cant be to high up, because of incomming traffic....pls help
@@rayskiii i am asking about the shadow... and that stuff, bacause when you instal them you literary close up the light, the gap is for like 8mm smaller on every side. Whats what i mean, does the light still looks normal in the dark? Is the beam the same shape
@@rayskiii well thats good...bacause in my contry every year then check the strobe height and that stuff, with a machine, thanks alot, if it doesnt do much im safe
It's looking great. too bad it's illegal to modify front headlights in the UK. The car will not pass her next MOT. It's probably worth it. Awesome car.
I rarely use the headlights, I usually just keep the DRL rings on but haven’t had any problems with them yet. But as a safety measure, I would recommend putting a bit more glue than I did in the video 👌
Also just to note: don’t be afraid to use a little more glue than I did because one of mine have come loose in the lens and opening that back up to re-glue that is a headache 🥲 sooo yea a lil more glue should do the trick 👌
Wouldn't use hot glue for that because the heat from the bulbs will melt it
@@todorivanov2272 yeah, the silicone would've been much better for that
Very cool, keep posting about the car

@@rayskiii famous last words
I did mine as well as my fog light which has now got a halo & it rises it to the next level
They look absolutely sick mate. You got me in to add these to my Brera!
I did it and it looks INSANE. Connecting is not hard, but opening the headlights unit is a big pain in the ass.

Try to wrap those chrome parts on your headlights with glossy black. I did that to mine, it looks WILD!
Satin black looks good as well
Do the fog lights on the bottom as well, I've seen it done before and it looks sick when all 4 circles are illuminated.
I would love to do this to mine, but I am afraid of the wireing and it looks janky. I wish there was a ready assembly you just could screw on.
Go full LED on the rear if you have the budget. The front looks sick tho.
Very popular car in south / eastern europe probably half of the views come from there 😄
Keep up! Great channel
Nice. The Alfa's still look better than most new cars

sick work brother loving the content
Hard i wanted to do this to my 159 before i sold it, id say leave the back lights but also interested what youd do with them (maybe clear lenses?)
Damn was thinking about getting some halos for my 159 this looks clean as
Yes bro respect from Manchester keep doing what your doing I hope all goes well for you on a real! And the lights look sick safe my brother
Thank you bro really appreciate the words 🙌
Did you use these just as daytime running lights or half dipped headlights?

What happens when one of the rings fails ?
Do each of the halos have their own control box? I have a project in mind but for it to work, they all need to be controlled individually 🤔
How did you do the wiring?
may I just ask, is there any shadow on the light strobe?? I live in Slovenia where rules are preaty stright.... and I just want to know if the rings interfere with the light (height and power), you know light beam cant be to high up, because of incomming traffic....pls help
They are pretty bright. Not as bright as high beam lights tho. But I’m not sure about the legality of them.
@@rayskiii i am asking about the shadow... and that stuff, bacause when you instal them you literary close up the light, the gap is for like 8mm smaller on every side. Whats what i mean, does the light still looks normal in the dark? Is the beam the same shape

Looks sick, whats the deal with if mot testers say legal or not?
Should be sound if its got the regular lights behind, cant see why not
Hello, I think about to buy to my Alfa too, but is it still working after the time? Because for 26(pounds/euros) it is really cheap
If done correctly, should last a long time
Nice,wt website did u get the lights from? Ta
Aliexpress
Man, the 159 is my dream car to buy next. Currently driving a corsa so it'll be quite the jump 😅
Awesome to hear bro, hopefully you get one soon my dawg! Goodluck :)
it's huge jump, i was driving a punto for 3-4 years and this is a jet compared to that :D
it looks perfect....
How did you connected them, did you used a cable from position lights?
Used the cables that came with the kit, connected them to the existing wires that powered the daytime running light bulbs
You mean the low beams
Awesome! Beside halos are you using leds?
Just halos for now, thinking about getting leds but hearing mixed reviews about them…
there's a youtuber called mr fixingcars who filmed almost the whole operation like a year ago
Defo gonna do this to my Brera
Let me know how it goes!
Get some Alcantara wrap for the trim next to ur head unit
I was actually thinking to do this, but I think alcantara wrap looks a bit tacky I don’t know
@@rayskiii if u have too much alcantara it looks tacky but I little bit will look good
Very good work. Well done brother ! 👌
🙌🙌
Imagine those in a Brera 😍😍😍
how hard is the wiring to do?
Not too hard, just need to find wires that supply 12v and ground wires/points
Looks sick
It's looking great. too bad it's illegal to modify front headlights in the UK. The car will not pass her next MOT. It's probably worth it. Awesome car.
Now do the fog lights
Looks so mich better
Coming along nicely 👌🏻
Aren't afraid the heat of the lamps gonna melt the hot glue down? I mean it doesnt need much of a heat 🤔
I rarely use the headlights, I usually just keep the DRL rings on but haven’t had any problems with them yet. But as a safety measure, I would recommend putting a bit more glue than I did in the video 👌
exhaust and down pipe
what autoradio u installed?
It was a Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB
Sick 🎉
Awesome
like bmw
Just bought me a 159 yesterday 🥲🥲
Great to hear bro! You got any plans for it?
