I think the animals have unoriginal names because they aren't supposed to be any kind of fantastic creatures but really just animals. That roots the game in reality, as is fitting for a ghost story where the ghosts should be the otherworldly element invading an otherwise normal setting. That is also why the are flytraps and not piranha plants. I have no excuse for the lame ghost names.
Well, since Chuggaa hasn't yet acknowledged it, here's a couple fun facts: A) The Dark Moon is actually an icon in Wicken (sorry if I misspelled that) culture which stands for peace, love, and good will toward others (if I'm remembering correctly that is) and I personally love how it has just that effect on the ghosts of Evershade Valley and B) If you look at some ghosts during certain parts of their attack animation (apart from Boos, poltergeists, and greenies that have their eyes concealed by objects) they actually stop preemptively and stop that particular attack-even showing expressions of visual guilt and sadness as if they don't really want to hurt you, but feel like they have no choice-but they will try again after vanishing from site.
+Dakery Attackington The parentheses after 'animation' cut the sentence off a moment for extra details. Also, since I feel like I was a little vague, those 'guilt animations' only pop up if Luigi looks at the attacking ghost at the right moment during their wind-up animation.

Chugga didn't get 100% on Xenoblade Chronicles, he just did all of the heart to hearts, all of the unique monsters, and quests. He still had to do level 10 art books for all his characters.

Emile, The Gloomy Manor was not E. Gadd's house, If you remember he "Jumped at the rare chance to study the paranormal in a peaceful environment." This is just the house that he was researching in.

One little bit of characterization that I've always liked; Luigi always gets less and less scared of the doors and their keys doing freaky things like the keys disappearing.
If you hold down certain buttons while Luigi's being pixelated, he will have different animations my favorite is when he arrives and finds out his hat was not teleported with him then all of a sudden, there it is lol.

one thing you forgot to mention was on the stairs when the candle light is blue that means there's a ghost up above the stairs but when the stairs candles are regular looking yellow and orange that means there's no ghost

I think the issue Chugga had with Boos in this game is that they have expressions they've never had before. Like the angry zigzag mouth or the confused face with the closed mouth.

Emile has been hit by ghosts. Greenies. Of all ghosts. Greenies. I believe Episode 2, which was where the source of damage Emile didn't know came from.
Gold Greenie location: This one seems to involve a bit or randomness. In the garage, walk around and open things, vacuum things, and do whatever you typically do in a room. After a certain amount of time, a gold greenie will appear in the car and honk the horn at Luigi startling him. He'll then fly out of the car and begin flying around the room. It seems to only happen when you're in front of the car facing away, so if it seems to be taking a while, walk behind the car and the towards the door and it should appear.
I actually think Boos are very expressive in this, just like everyone. Also, Emile, don't forget to go back and collect the other Boos in previous missions!
One thing I'm going to note here: Since Chugga talked about the topic of backtracking for ghosts to get a better rank, there are two copies of a type of ghost Chuggaa hasn't talked about yet in two of the earlier missions. The ghost will inevitably be talked about later, but I'll say what it is anyways: the Gold Greenie. Capture those suckers, and your vacuum will vomit money (which you can then promptly vacuum up, ironically)! Like the gold varieties of the little creatures though, Gold Greenies don't stick around for long once revealed. Strobulb them quickly and capture them fast. The two you can find in the first 4 missions of the Gloomy Manor are in the bathroom in Quiet Please! (underneath the rug) and the garage in Gear Up (open the chest the key was in during Poltergust 5000) Second, I've got two tips for the aspiring ghost hunter: 1. Greenies with a tool (like a shovel) but no 'shield' (like a lid) and no 'mask' (like sunglasses) are actually vulnerable when they're starting their attack. Catch 'em before the long, obvious stun, and you can shave off a few precious miliseconds, speed runners. 2. The Poltergust doesn't just suck! It also blows! Press L instead of R to blow air out of the vacuum. Chuggaa will have to use this technique later when it's required, has used this technique only once so far (to collect a gem), and neither he nor the game has really said how it's done iirc. This is required to get some collectibles as well as finish the game, so it's important to know. You can use it to launch absolutely anything you pick up with the suction power of that vacuum, from the helmet from a suit of armor to a pumpkin. Fragile items, such as pumpkins or the globe, will also shatter when launched in this way, revealing anything they might contain.
Missed out on looking in that hole. 3:08. After the sound of that boo you can look in that little hole and look around. Doing that will give you a reward of hearing the hidden boo inside that room laughing. Darn, and that's such a good part too.
glad to watch this lets play, getting to notice those gems that i didn't notice. Also quite annoying when ghosts don't cooperate and go the other way making you lose them

The door turned invisible! But it's made explicitly clear that such objects are still there. I'm sure you can fumble for the doorknob, just like you'd do in real life when you go to the bathroom at three in the... or just take a huge detour by going the long way around, that works too.
I'm surprised Chugga didn't mention this yet, but there's one Boo in EVERY non-boss level of the game! Nabbing them all unlocks an additional challenge, though there's not really a point to them for those who aren't completionists...

I just wanted to say in terms of being a hero Luigi is the smarter one when dealing with abnormal enemies he keeps a more cautious eye then his brother who runs into ghost mansions willy nilly.
Little touch I like about this game is how Luigi always nods side to side when using keys on doors. I always think he's thinking " I'll never understand how that works".
The Professor is surprised that a Boo, one of the most prominent ghost species in the entire Marioverse, showed up. Also, is Luigi ignoring the amazing ability of the Dark Light Device that he could take full advantage of? It makes paintings come to life. All Luigi needs is to take some art classes and he could make himself the new Superstar. No longer will he have to save E. Gadd money (and test subjects) by cleaning his house.
I'll admit, I love Dark Moon's ghosts far more than the first games purely for how much personality they have. It makes me want to fix the Dark Moon and restore them.
Anyone else notice the voice Emile gives E. Gadd seems to get less "silly old man" and more "sinister deep evil man" every episode? I'm just waiting for him to go right into full-on demon by episode 14.
I can see what you mean with the Boos being unexpressive compared to the other ghosts but I'd hardly say that compared to other games where they've pretty much had the same two expressions since their inception.
a little trick for you emile, you can use the dark light device on greenies that have protection to reveal them for about a second, in which you can flash them for a second!

I'm surprised Chugga didn't mention this yet, but there's one Boo in EVERY non-boss level of the game! Nabbing them all unlocks an additional challenge, though there's not really a point to them for those who aren't completionists...
I think everyone can agree (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - Episode) is the best episode in any lets play Chugga has done thus far.

I just wanted to say in terms of being a hero Luigi is the smarter one when dealing with abnormal enemies he keeps a more cautious eye then his brother who runs into ghost mansions willy nilly.
Little touch I like about this game is how Luigi always nods side to side when using keys on doors. I always think he's thinking " I'll never understand how that works".
The Professor is surprised that a Boo, one of the most prominent ghost species in the entire Marioverse, showed up.
Also, is Luigi ignoring the amazing ability of the Dark Light Device that he could take full advantage of? It makes paintings come to life. All Luigi needs is to take some art classes and he could make himself the new Superstar. No longer will he have to save E. Gadd money (and test subjects) by cleaning his house.

I can see what you mean with the Boos being unexpressive compared to the other ghosts but I'd hardly say that compared to other games where they've pretty much had the same two expressions since their inception.
a little trick for you emile, you can use the dark light device on greenies that have protection to reveal them for about a second, in which you can flash them for a second!
