Chaos is definitely the right word to describe this mission right here. I'd love to see someone do this mission without taking any damage. That would be something to behold
I don't know if this was intended but, the greenies are the same color as Luigi, and they are weak. (Like Luigi) slammers are red, like Mario and they are strong (like Mario) and they are adored by greenies. Gold greenies like money (like wario) and sneakers are like waluigi (both are creepy)
Alexa Snyder No, I was just thinking that if he got resurrected from a dimensional collapse, then he would've died again, if the cutscene is triggered. He would just die regardless of having the bone, because running out of time wouldn't trigger the cutscene to get revived. It's one of the few instances where a game over would happen when ignoring the bone.
They should have had a cutscene of the entirety of Evershade Valley being destroyed if time ran out. It would be a great bad ending. Also, they should change the death music to the one from the first game. That one's so much better.

Sure, it wouldn't be grand scale, but isn't think that it would deserve a huge cutscen for something that only gives you a game over.
I was expecting a huge, semi downer ending where the universe implodes or anything in the same vein of Super Paper Mario's, but it was very underwhelming and anti climatic. I mean the stupid universe is supposed to die and it's just a fade to black and a good night. We don't even see it start with Luigi panicking and crying. I don't know whether to be relieved or upset :O
That happens because you have to watch a certain length of the video before it counts as you viewing it, so some people probably just instantly liked it before fully watching.

This is my favorite mission in the game. How intense it was the first time playing through will always be the memory that sticks out the most from this game.
Reminds me of the blackout just after Boolossus. Both games did it at the same time, it seems. Just no immediate death for exploring during the blackout.

When the game first came out, I beat every level up to this point in a day. Then this level took me a month and a half. Then I beat the rest in a day... Fuuuu
I gotta admit, I was on the edge of my seat while you were taking out all the ghosts throughout Treacherous Mansion. And even when you were looking at King Boo in a previous episode, he still scared me when he turned around. Now only the final battle against King Boo remains and Luigi will be reunited with Mario.
oh god I have a history with this mission I'm the type of guy who is DEEPLY pressured when it comes to time limit missions. This level THIS FLIPING level... I'll give it credit with the dimension collapse in mind, the earthquakes with purple lightning, the fact professor e-gad tells you you are reaching the paranormal limit. the "catch the ghost before it's *too late* I attempted it.... I died to the last strong gober... it has pressured me SO HARD. I haven't beaten the game in 3 YEARS until today that is thanks chugga for pushing me to beat the level
Literally anytime i watch anyone do this mission i start shaking up and panic, it may be damn hard but boy does the tension feel good. Timed missions imo if done right are the best parts in any video game, they are an awesome way to build tension.
When Luigi enters the Terrace and finds King Boo, He reveals a portal and gets through it and causes a plenty of ghosts to invade around every location from the Treacherous Mansion! Find the ghosts in each all of the correct locations to capture them before the locations turn green or yellow to red on your map! When you capture every ghost on each location, Get back to the Terrace to capture all the located ghosts! When the timer hits zero or you’ll fail!
And with a flick of his wrist, King Boo threatened to cause the Mario universe in it's entirety to cease to exist. And it took Count Bleck how many years to accomplish that?

Ambiance, like those flashes of purple lightning and E. Gadd calling when you run out of time (all without interrupting gameplay which is really annoying since it would have made all the tutorial less painful) does a lot to make what essentially is a time trial mission more high stake. The fact that they don't want until you clear all rooms before sending the next wave, punish you for taking too long, and actually throws a whole ton of ghosts against you at once certainly helps, too.
Knowing that you can dodge while you're using the vacuum would have been VERY helpful when I played this mission. I eventually did it, but wow it was tough.

This by far one of my favorite missions in this game THIS is what the clockwork boss should of been like. With TONS or really strong ghost overwhelming you. I love it.
I have a really found memory of this mission, when I played it a huge storm hit our house and was getting worse as the mission went on when I bet it I looked outside and the storm was gonna and it was clear skies for the rest of the day.
I just now beat luigi's mansion dark moon. Thank you Emil for the walkthrough and helping me find all those pesky gems. I still have a few more to find, but that means playing through a long mission toward the end. I do it latter. By the way you can only get gems 11 and 12 on, A Train to Catch. Which is weird because you can get them 13 on the mission E-3 and E-5. Lol, Nintendo is funny like that so sometimes. Thanks again I hope I spelled your name right.
Here’s my idea of the last mission(which is this) ending if you fail. Basically, it starts to crack itself after a bit of time. If the level returns to normal, then the crack is repaired. However, it’ll continue until time runs out. This basically shows that the dimension cracked open and it sent Luigi, E.Gadd, the polterpup, a few of the ghosts and even King Boo just sucked up. Only leaving Luigi’s hat, E.Gadd’s glasses, King Boo’s crown, Polterpup’s color and a painting of Mario trapped forever. That’s when it says “goodnight” ending to appear. That should’ve happened
Honestly, I would've had a special movie that plays when you run out of time on this mission. Here's how I picture it: The screen fades to black after the timer expires, and the whole mansion begins to shake as the Portal begins to go crazy as Luigi watches in horror as the whole dimension begins to collapse on itself as the Ghosts begin to flood out of the Portal, and Luigi attempting to run, but the entire door is blocked off, and the ghosts soon surround him as the dimension collapses around them. Luigi lets out a scream, and then the game cuts to black. Good night...

know what I like is that the timer still counts down as you talk to E gadd so outtanall the way's to die you can do it while talking to him
"Looming darkness" from Kirby's return to dreamland was playing in my head the whole stage. idk why it just fits with the scenario luigi was in.

this is personally my favorite mission cause of how action packed and the difficulty spike is (also that ending of failing is so anti-climatic)
This by far one of my favorite missions in this game THIS is what the clockwork boss should of been like. With TONS or really strong ghost overwhelming you. I love it.
I have a really found memory of this mission, when I played it a huge storm hit our house and was getting worse as the mission went on when I bet it I looked outside and the storm was gonna and it was clear skies for the rest of the day.
Marabou is a type of feather used in adding trim to clothing. I knew I had heard the reference before, but I still had to look it up.

After he came across the gold bone, I kind of hoped Chuggaa would be KO’d during the final phase. I love that sequence that plays as Luigi is revived.

I just now beat luigi's mansion dark moon. Thank you Emil for the walkthrough and helping me find all those pesky gems. I still have a few more to find, but that means playing through a long mission toward the end. I do it latter.
By the way you can only get gems 11 and 12 on, A Train to Catch. Which is weird because you can get them 13 on the mission E-3 and E-5. Lol, Nintendo is funny like that so sometimes.

This is my favourite mission in the whole game and maybe in any game ever
IVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO BEAT THIS MISSION, but now with this, i shall with the help of chuggaa >-
Here’s my idea of the last mission(which is this) ending if you fail.
Basically, it starts to crack itself after a bit of time. If the level returns to normal, then the crack is repaired. However, it’ll continue until time runs out. This basically shows that the dimension cracked open and it sent Luigi, E.Gadd, the polterpup, a few of the ghosts and even King Boo just sucked up. Only leaving Luigi’s hat, E.Gadd’s glasses, King Boo’s crown, Polterpup’s color and a painting of Mario trapped forever. That’s when it says “goodnight” ending to appear.
That should’ve happened
Honestly, I would've had a special movie that plays when you run out of time on this mission.
Here's how I picture it:
The screen fades to black after the timer expires, and the whole mansion begins to shake as the Portal begins to go crazy as Luigi watches in horror as the whole dimension begins to collapse on itself as the Ghosts begin to flood out of the Portal, and Luigi attempting to run, but the entire door is blocked off, and the ghosts soon surround him as the dimension collapses around them.
Luigi lets out a scream, and then the game cuts to black.

When the timer hits zero, It’s Good Night.
