- Today’s recipe, cold kimchi noodle soup (or Kimchimari-guksu: 동치미국수) is an icy-cold, spicy noodle dish made with the quick-fermented water radish kimchi (dongchimi) we made in my last recipe.

I know my families palate too well and I have to put an American spin on Maangchi’s dishes first and then they get excited to try the authentic version. I used chicken broth ( knorr brand ) instead of an anchovie- kelp stock . Yummy ! Now my family wonders what and anchovie kelp stock taste like in the dish they just loved . That’s right folks , I did it again !

The recipe is amazing, but you’re more amazing. You inspire me to cook three times a day. My family enjoys homemade meals and outside dining/takeouts. I love how Korean side dishes need only a day to make and it can go for a whole week or more. I make 5-7 each time and have it stacked in the fridge for added sides. We like variety and you have plenty!

I made this the other day, subbed dried shiitake mushrooms for the anchovies to make the broth veggie/vegan, it was amazing!!! Also, I just used soba/buckwheat noodles because that's what I had at home. Soooo good.

I love all of your recipes i love Korean food started to eat korean food back in the 70's. My uncle married a beautiful lady from korea which I have had the honour to call her my aunty. I was wondering if you could show us how to make dongtae tang (spicy pollack stew) i remember my aunt using frozen pollack not dried the only recipe i see on your website is dried pollack. Please show me how to make spicy pollack stew/soup. I crave to eat this often. Please keep up sharing your recipes cause we all love them and just incase you have and share the recipe with us. I use anchovies & kelp from the stock to add to your “Braised Korean Black Beans”(after cutting up the kelp in small pieces)! Nothing goes to waste and so healthy😊
