麦元滨 What kind of kimchi did you make? If you use chinese cabbage, firstly, sprinkle a lot of salt. Then the osmotic pressure causes the water to drain out a lot. Then rinse well in water, drain and make kimchi. If I make a small amount of kimchi, I put a very simple recipe on my channel. The original kimchi should be made according to the above statement above👍

I made this with windfall apples, and radish, and it is soooooo good. We have some as an appetizer every lunch. So now the apples are ripe, I made some more and it is even better! I put the spices in the jar, because they sink to the bottom and the soup remains clear.

Thank you Maangchi, this method is so easy! My first batch is fermenting now (divided in two half-gallon jars). The current summer heat will probably ferment it relatively quickly. But I'm excited to eventually try the cold soup, I need something refreshing to cool down. I'd love to serve this with some kind of noodle too.

My Korean radish is so abundant in my garden right now. I’ve been making so many fermented and pickled radish dishes. I also slice my radish thin for dongchimi. But the Apple is something I have to try. Thanks for this.

By the way, the beetroots first need cooking. Usually, we do not peel the beetroots, just good wash, and cooking... After peel and then prep...
