Something about hearing these songs through the TV speakers for the first time after Comcast dropped Channel 101 from our listings back in 2017 really hits different. A rush of emotions from my childhood. We had at least one TV on the channel all the time so we knew what to expect from the weather, because of that, listening to this playlist, towards the end of a song, I can already hear the next song starting in my head. That's nostalgia.
I still remember around 2006 - 2007 when it was a rainy night with a cool breeze I would turn on weatherscan, turn the lights down, and smoke a cigarette. Memories..
Would watch weatherscan all the time in those middle school days to see if it was warm enough for shorts and a hoodie. Weatherscan your channel on the tv will be missed but your music lives on

I happened to talk to him one morning about it & how I had looked up this guy named Trammell that had made the majority the music. In a wild coincidence, he just so happened to be flying to California that week to work with a producer...Trammell Starks!! It was like fate had aligned. He said that he would tell him he had a fan in Florida. When he got back to work he presented me with 3 burned CD's & said "Trammell sent these for you. He was very happy to hear he has a fan" 😇 A completely true & amazing story that I hadn't thought about in a looong time😇

I remember hearing this song 15 years ago in the hickory ridge mall in memphis, tn and I just sat in the lobby and listened to it. forgot all about why I came to the mall. I just love jazz. so heavenly good
I miss this channel. It was so relaxing and actually useful to have playing in the background (especially in the summer and late winter months). I really miss it. There’s nothing else like it :(
coming back to this, just reminds me of late night weekends after dealing with a whole week of kindergarten school, playing with my mom and dad before going to sleep, and everything was semi-dark, with just a lamp lighting a decent bit of the living room up. so peaceful.
This is a perfect tune for cloud watching. Also, it gives me a sense of anemoia I've never thought possible since I didn't grow up with The Weather Channel.
