If you think about it, all of the victories against the biggest villians so far have been by teams. When Discord was first defeated, it was by Luna and Celestia working together. In Celestia's original battle with Nightmare Moon she was alone and thus unable to keep her from staying evil, just banish her to the moon. When Nightmare Moon returned she was defeated by the Mane 6, who are clearly a team of six. When Discord returned, he was defeated by the Mane 6 as well. Queen Chrysalis was taken down by a combination of Shining Armor and Cadence. King Sombra was beaten by mainly Spike, but he'd have died if it weren't for Cadence and Shining Armor. My point being, there is strength in numbers. Which works well with the show's theme of friendship.
Absolutely unparalleled. I loved this the voices spot on. Celestia was sad to a point where she was understandingly emotional, without sounding or appearing to fall into a state of a broken emotional drunk. the music was tender vulnerable sounding. All the worries were believable as well as explained celestia's position during the conflicts without going to an extreme. She wasn't over doing it. & the manner in which Twilight eased the sorrowful alicorn Flawless. Simply Beautiful.
I've read the fanfic called Parting Words (highly recommend it) that perfectly deals with this trope as well as raising (and explaining) some valid questions (especially the Trolestia trope origins). Also I think the people were pissed about the duel with Chrysalis is that the writers FINALLY gave her a chance to do something great and instead they pulled of what they did. So don't blame Celestia (because she is a fictional character), blame the writers, they are the one doing this.
+Jovan Mitric Trust me, it gets worse from there with how the writers handle Luna and Celestia in terms of crisis stuff. Especially in season 4 where it really starts to get bad with how they are handled there. Its the starting point where it got old really fast and how things basically went downhill from there for Luna and Celestia.

This has been one of my favourite MLP comics for a while now and I'm glad to see someone make a dub for it. It does a great job on not only showing how hard it is to be a rulter, but just how much one's subject's love her in spite of whatever failings she may think she has. Congratulations on such fine work.
In light of what is now canon... if this was, it suggests that the Royal Sisters have both been emotionally hurting themselves. I'd love to see them both dealing with the healing together.

time and time again people have reminded me of this and some ive had to remind others myself and what Twilight said is true doing things on our own is a recipe for disaster but relying on others when you need it shows you have the conviction and strength to say "i need help" or "i was wrong" sometimes its about swallowing your pride and accepting your faults before finding away to beat and overcome them - ensuring you have people to pick you up when you fall , many great leaders fall because they feel that they have to carry the world on their own but the greatest cites were built many a group who trusted each other with their lives not just one person alone

Princess Celestia only acts like a troll from time to time to help the ponies feel more comfertable around her, because she don't want them to fear her but respect her. No matter what has happened or will happen, she ruled Equestria with kindness for 1000 years.
Celestia probably won't ever get an episode completely centered around her. However it does seem as though we might be learning some more about her history in season 4.
got just a theory: remember that time with the six pillars of friendship used their power to banish the shadow pony to limbo? they said they had to sacrifice the elements of harmony later on to banish him again. does that mean, when the power is used for banishment only, the elements lose their powers? celestia was able to wield the elements alone, but it seems that after she banished luna, the lements just stopped woking for her and shifted on other ponies later on.
. . . I wish I wasn't so jaded that I could truly appreciate the content of this inspirational message. But no, I have to keep expecting Princess Trollestia to go "Lol, gay."
FiM's messages are not only applicable (barring a few episodes), but are approached in ways most kid shows are too shallow to even attempt. There's even an article called Love, Tolerance, and Other Myths that goes into detail about this.
This should've been in the MLP:FIM series, because of the way in which she feels responsible for the failures that she had done in pervious battles and putting the burden of these onto the mane 6. This would've made her a much more deeper character than just a guider for twilight/ruler.

I personally love stuff like this that portrays Celestia in a positive light. I've grown to very much dislike all "trollestia" and "molelestia" stuff because I believe it just ruins her character. I see her as a capable leader, one that cares about those she leads and always puts Equestria first. I just find it unfortunate that most seem to think she is a tyrant and I think she really is the most unappreciated princess. Anyway, great video! I got some liquid pride in my eyes.

Celestia probably won't ever get an episode completely centered around her. However it does seem as though we might be learning some more about her history in season 4.

got just a theory: remember that time with the six pillars of friendship used their power to banish the shadow pony to limbo? they said they had to sacrifice the elements of harmony later on to banish him again. does that mean, when the power is used for banishment only, the elements lose their powers? celestia was able to wield the elements alone, but it seems that after she banished luna, the lements just stopped woking for her and shifted on other ponies later on.

This should've been in the MLP:FIM series, because of the way in which she feels responsible for the failures that she had done in pervious battles and putting the burden of these onto the mane 6. This would've made her a much more deeper character than just a guider for twilight/ruler.
what? you gave her wings now she just needs a kingdom I mean Cadence is now leader of the crystal ponies so unless in the next season there is gonna be some huge kingdom that has vanished for IDK how long appears out of nowhere I think there is only one other kingdom she can rule over at least I can't think of another
I personally love stuff like this that portrays Celestia in a positive light. I've grown to very much dislike all "trollestia" and "molelestia" stuff because I believe it just ruins her character. I see her as a capable leader, one that cares about those she leads and always puts Equestria first. I just find it unfortunate that most seem to think she is a tyrant and I think she really is the most unappreciated princess. Anyway, great video! I got some liquid pride in my eyes.
