Robin I’m having these philosophical thought that people around me and my loved ones are not real almost like I’m escaping the matrix I know it sounds crazy and I’m scared that I’m going to be stuck with these thoughts forever is what I’m experiencing normal?
Hi darling, that's a very normal feeling to have with dpdr and an existential crisis. Your brain is in a state of fear right now and perceiving the world as unsafe, which is why it's distrusting of anything you used to feel safe around. Just know that this is not a permanent feeling and that you will feel differently again once you're in a feeling of safety again. Much love and good luck to you!
@@robinschindelka2117 hi robin I’ve since been put on medication and it’s helped with the anxiety massively but I’m still getting these extenstial thoughts for example “am I gonna be in this state forever” “is anyone real” etc but these thoughts are not giving me as much anxiety anymore am I gonna be stuck like this forever second guessing reality?
Hello Robin, i have a question, thank you very much for this video, for me, the sensations of DP/DR are less present but I still have existential and philosophical thoughts, from time to time there is still this feeling of unreality but is it normal that thoughts take so long to disappear completely? There are days when I have many and others less, but they are still there at the bottom of my head... It will soon be 5 months since I have DP/DR, I know that 80% of my symptoms have disappeared but the thoughts are still there...
Any tips on having a hard time relaxing my shoulders all the time?? It leads to tension in my neck and head...anxiety sucks...also dissociation and not feeling connected to self
I always lurk on Robin's videos lol. But for tension, PMR or heat pads! I get tons of neck and shoulder tension from playing violin, and I sometimes feel it more if I am stressed out by something likr at work. Hot showers are great too and reaaaaaally feeling the warm water hit your skin. Or baths are wonderful too!
@kirstencorbett2289 ya the heating pad i have used before it helps laying down with it i also have a mouth guard i sleep with for now...yaaa its a hard time today i just felt detached and just off idk could be meds too or just from the depression stuff
Hi Joey, Your shoulder tension is a physical symptom of a psychological issue of stress causinh your shoulders to tense up in the first place. Try getting to the root cause of the tension and working on that. A safe brain will create a relaxed body!
