No. Many places where there are large groups of people and no "doors". I am an old person, but I never had security at any of my schools. The receptionist watched the door. The doors didn't lock, there was no need for police, there was no need for hardening, and camera systems didn't even exist. Now America has to harden all our schools? Just ban the guns, and the ammo. America is unwilling to pay our teachers, we are unwilling to buy them supplies or up-to-date books, and half our students are working in trailers. I would not be surprised if a school shooter just came in through the holes in the roof somewhere.
Oh, I just had a novel idea: if the guns shouldn't be banned, how about banning the ammunition?

When Allegiant Air cancelled my flight, they gave us the option to catch the next flight (a few days later), refund our ticket price (I had paid $115), or $150 in vouchers, PLUS $300 regardless of which of the three options you picked. So amazing for a smaller airline with limited routes!
I'm a retired cop and have never touched my guns in the 6 years since I retired. The idea to have teachers carry weapons is absolutely insane...even cops with monthly qualifications still have difficulty hitting a paper target accurately and they want to put a gun in the hands of teachers with no regular and regulated training. Insanity.

If teachers are ever allowed to have, or made to have firearms in the classrooms then they damn well better be trained...or you're just asking for more problems.

A long time ago our govt. (the British) turned tyrannical and turned on its people and killed them with rifles. That will never happen again as long as we have rifles to protect ourselves from another govt. that gets too big for its britches and this one is starting to act a little too authoritarian. Our crime rate is inline with advanced economies. It only the homicide that are much higher mainly because guns are used in the majority of violent crime. It roughly 4x more likely you will die if a victim. The US like most places the crime is mostly in high risk communities, I haven't locked a door at home in over a decade, it's all about location.

There were "good guys" with guns there and protective armor that can take a shot from an assault rifle and they just stood outside for an hr. The "good guy with a gun" never seems to be at ANY of these shootings. Or he is, crying and hiding in a corner.
Schools are gun free zones as are most places this crap happens at. So you can’t really say what you said .kinda hard for a good guy to be carring a gun when laws prevent them from being at a school with a gun… come on man

What if politicians were paid minimum wage. Then only the folks who really care to make a difference will be in office. Sometimes it seems like a money or popularity thing. Not much gets done for the regular everyday people struggling to get by.
