    I charge exclusively outside as I'm having the same issue of living in a condo. I'm totally fine after 1+ year of full EV. My office have EV charger and often I just makan at place with EV Charger.

      Ideally every office would have car charging. It only needs to be 7kw or so because you will be there all day.

    Any reason you using 350kw DC charger? As i understand dolphin only takes max 80kw. 350kw charges cost should be highest

      @@anndeelee2268 Depending on how efficient the car is you'll probably get 10km or range or more per hour plugged in. So if your car is plugged in overnight you could easily get 80-100km so as long as your daily drive is under that you'll wake up each morning to a car with a full battery. Even if you've been on a trip away and return home with the battery almost empty you're likely to have enough charge overnight to do your daily commute.

    Genuine question - how users living in apartments/condo charge ev at home? Is it possible?

    RM35 for 100km is very expensive for EV. A hybrid can do more than 300km with RM35 of subsidized petrol. If you do not have home charging, EV is more expensive to run than a regular ICE/Hybrid. Additionally, the depreciation cost of an EV is a lot greater than regular ICE which should be taken as the total cost of ownership as well.

    Doubt we'd get to know the battery degradation rate since ur gonna be returning it

    • @Glee73
      @Glee73 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      it takes years.. even with the older batteries, it takes usually more than 10 years before there is any noticeable degradation (lots of real ownership experiences shared out there). the blade battery as used in the dolphin is expected to last past more than 15 years easily.

    It's a tough call for working adults who can afford an EV but stay in a non-landed multilevel residence (aka an apartment) and have little time left of their working and social lives to wait for the vehicle to charge while finding something productive to do. The same would apply to a lesser extent to home owners with a wall based AC charger, if you're running out of range due to the battery, are you willing to sacrifice around an hour to top off the battery before heading back. So in summary your comment on the amount of time available for busy working adults to slot in time to charge in between work and home will be tough no matter how you look at it. This maybe a good reason why a rechargeable hybrid might be a better choice in the long run especially for city dwellers commuting to work daily.

    • @Glee73

      city dwellers who live in KL with an AC charger at home have zero range anxiety. my car with full charge gives me easily 350-400km in pure city driving.. but why should i "wait" for charging it? get home.. plug in.. go to sleep, tommorow i have full charge again. over 300km of range just to get to work in KL for example is way more than enough range even for an entire week for most people.

    After watching this, I would rather stick with a good ole ICE car. EVs are no doubt nice to drive, however the charging issues, charging costs and limited charging infrastructure and max range are a real put-off.

    This video once again show that how faff to own an EV car. The EV fan boy will keep saying is 0 maintenance bla bla bla. ICE car is zero maintenance too for the first 5 yrs. Tell me how do you save when you need to fork out the money first to buy a decent charging station at home that cost 10-20k? This 10-20k for charging station, i can keep it after 5yrs of ownership of my ICE car and you this money to maintain it. Most importantly I know my ICE car has better value than your EV after 5 yrs. Do your calculation right, you really think you can save money owning an EV car? Nothing is free in this world!! EV marketing BS!!!

      @ChoySekMunSimon หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Always remember that the biggest liability on an EV is the heavy battery pack under your seat. Not only do you have to factor in depreciation of the battery but also reduced range over time. And to a lesser expense there's also tyre wear due to the sheer weight of an EV. I have nothing against EV but the long term ownership is something to think about. I would put in the analogy of a smart watch and a classic automatic mechanical watch. Assuming you paid the same amount for either time piece, would you still see yourself wearing either time piece a decade down the road? The analogy to an EV and a petrol/diesel can is similar.

    • @PsychedMedia
      @PsychedMedia หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The only one complaining about the slow charge is non owners really. No actual owners find charging is an issue. Other issues, yes there's plenty. But not range and home charging.

    • @ahwai82
      @ahwai82 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@departurexx1520 are you a normal person? Do you go back home to sleep? If yes what's the issue. If you need to charge everyday means you drive alot in a day then why do you even consider ev..it's not EV issue you just not suitable for you..see the point? Or you are too dumb like most anti/hater come up with the most stupid scenario.
