    @9:01 there is possibly an error in the table. Charge rate (km/min) of 3.7 kW looks better than 7.4 kW. Conceptually, it should be the reverse i.e. charging using 7.4 kW must give more km per minutes as compared to lower power 3.7kW.

    AC do have additional job to convert to DC inside car rectifier. While DC charges directly to the battery. AC may suits for home especially with 3-phase 415V. Using 1-phase 240V took a long time to charge.

    Have a feeling full EV still not that suitable for people living in apartments unless the apartments have significant amount of AC charging points. Many apartments still do not even have that facility. Charging at the public charging station with charging rate per minute would be very costly for over hours of charging, may even cost more than petrol. And using high voltage/current DC fast charging regularly would degrade the battery faster.

    • @shutengloke5907

      I own a BMW EV and living in a condo with no EV charger. I typically charge at DC station or office which provides AC charger. I can assure, I only charge once a week for city use.. and on average I spent Rm60 on DC charger from 10% to 80%. If I charge at the office, it’s free. I only pay for parking. Full day is only Rm20 for parking.
      All considered, it is still cheaper than owning an ICE conti car and a lot more fun to drive.

    for me Ac charge make common sense at work, home, mall. since we spend hours in there. but DC or supercharger are valid on petrol station or any RNR since people doesnt want to stay for so long during their trip. I really hope Malaysia infrastructure improve on charge cause by go on many people will change their car to EV , and we dont want to be stuck waiting for line on stations.

    • @sackboy5683
      @sackboy5683 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kalau letak byk battery, lg berat kereta, lg x jauh la dia travel per charge. Lg 1, EV x makan battery masa jem ye. EV makan battery byk bila drive lebih 110km sejam.
      Kalau cakap pasal leceh menunggu, pada tahun 2008 dulu aku pernah rasa iPhone tu x best sbb selalu kena cas sebab battery cepat habis. Leceh kan setiap hari nak kena cas phone? Dulu aku prefer Nokia or Sony Ericsson or blackberry sbb x perlu cas sekerap iPhone. Tapi skrg 2024 aku dah terbiasa dah cas phone sekali or dua kali sehari. It's just a matter of getting used to the tech, the advantages and limitations of it.

    Question, if an EV car is charged daily with AC 22kW to max of 80% at 10A, would be the same or better to charge the car with DC 30kW daily to max of 80% at 10A by passing the car’s OBC of 11kW or 22kW?
