I live in apartment do I don't have a home mailbox can I drop that package just like u made in a usps Blue mailbox or do I take to a usps store to drop it off? ...I'm kinda noob at it so bare with my knowledge .
@LightSoundGeometry yes, it will go through a roller. If you charged less than $1.50 for shipping and the card is less than $20, you can put the card in a toploader (with painters tape on top) and ship it in an envelope with 1 stamp. I've done this many times and had no problems, but accidents do occur and there is no way to track your card this way.
Very helpful, thank you Ian! I’ve purchased a lot but haven’t sent cards out myself because I wasn’t sure on best practices. This video will be a great reference.
Decent vid but u missed an important part. Tape the top loaded card to a piece of paper the same width as the envelope and fold it up to keep the card from sliding around
I’ve been selling cards on eBay for about a year now. I use eBay standard for every order under $20. I use semi ridgids (much cheaper option generally), roll it up in a piece of paper, and stick it in the envelope. NEVER. USE. SCOTCH TAPE! I learned my lesson early on with a couple neutral reviews.
I've recently started selling TCG cards through eBay and I use basically the same method. I use top-loaders, piece of green Frog Tape at the top, rolled in a piece of paper, tape that to the inside of two pieces of cardboard I cut from cereal boxes, then put that in the envelope. It costs an extra 20 cents because of the cardboard, but still cheap enough. I also don't sell anything less than $3.99 because it's not worth my time after fees and the shipping cost.
Thank you for sharing the PayPal shipping website. Read about it on Reddit but they never specified the website. If you go on PayPal, PayPal will only let you ship with them if you have a invoice through them, but that website you had provide is golden.
I practice almost everything in your method however, I place the label on the other side, this way you are sealing the envelope or bubble mailer flap that you use to close it. I wrap the top piece of tape over each edge about a 1/2 inch to close the opening.
This is a great informative video. As an old school collector rediscovering the hobby and trying to adapt, this is SO helpful. Thanks for this and the rest of your great videos
Great video ian I actually learned the PayPal now that you mention and it does seem cheaper then getting a eBay label 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I new about the envelope jus wasn’t sure how that really played out but this made new view different ways on It
I have watched enough videos to know this but this is a great video for the novice card reseller. I am getting ready to sell 24 baseball mystery boxes loaded with hits. I will be getting some football card mystery boxes done next and one of the hits will be a Jerry Rice RC....stay tuned
Good tip with the scotch tape! I have received numerous cards with scotch tape and it ruins the toploaders. (I also sent Ian a card with scotch tape on the toploader but hopefully nobody remembers that lol)
This is waaaaay overkill, especially for a 5 dollar card. Toploader, teambag. Done. The toploader is more than enough rigidity and the team bag will cover from water damage while also doing the work of the blue tape you used but better since it's not sticky. I've sent hundreds of cards like this, never heard a complaint 🔆
After you purchase a label off of shipstation and and u don’t have a P.O. Box can u just drop off the package at the post office in the drop off bin and walk off like it’s that easy and everything is already taken care off ?
Don't use any kind of tape on a top loader. I've see way too many cards damaged because of the tape pinching the card. A tight team bag does the trick almost every time. I'm only saying this because if you for some reason want to send the card in for grading, even with the naked eye you may not see the dent pinching will make. way riskier with the tape then without.
@@IFSportsCards Where has this been all of my life! There have been so many times I have had to go to the post office and waste 45 minutes to ship just one $5 first class package. Thanks Ian!
This is total overkill for a $5 card but for $100+ card perfect. Painters tape is important but no need to protect the toploader with extra cards. A piece of paper wrap for pwe is plenty but also shipping PWE through Ebay has been a nightmare for me. Don't reuse bubble envelopes, You can reuse bubble wrap but not envelopes. Walmart has envelopes for cheap enough to add to shipping cost. Never knew about Paypal ship seems but it seems to be the same rates as Ebay though, It makes sense since that's where it originated.

What about psa card weight

What if I only have a thermal label printer?
I don’t comment often but when I do it is well deserved. You just saved me about a week’s worth of work.

I practice almost everything in your method but I still watched the entirety just bec these type of contents help the community so much. Excellent!
You can also request package pickup and leave in front of your house for the mailman to pick up if your area is safe to do so
I've never actually tried this, but that is a good tip!
Thanks for saying this, came here to say this.
im a letter carrier, thanks more making sure the label is easy to scan for us!

You are right. The .30 cent per transaction fee is a killer on Ebay for selling cheap singles! Sounds like you guys are practicing safe shipping!

Excellent video Ian! A tutorial like this should be mandatory viewing for anyone selling cards. I hope you guys are doing well. Take care brother 👊⚾️
he does what I do, if u sell on ebay use their first class shipping at home. BUt paypal ship station works well outside of ebay
Thank you for the video. Very helpful and informative. Will be using it.
You are welcome!

Haha! Unless you are told, or experienced trying to remove scotch tape from a toploader, there is no way of knowing!
PayPal postage thing I gotta look into installing into my computer
Very helpful! Thanks!
Great vid thank you for taking the time very helpful!!!
How would I do the tracking stuff and shippingblabel and adress for what not in envelope
USPS First Class pricing tiers are every 4 ounces. So always input 4 oz, 8 oz, 12 oz or 15 oz (16 oz/1 lb packages will need to be sent Priority).
This is very good to know!
Thank you Ian.
Damn and I thought I had a lot of cards must be nice to have all those great cards
Great video bro. Adding value to the hobby.
Very helpful. Thanks
This video was very helpful. What kind of printer do you use to print the label?
Just a regular old printer!
Nice tips!

Where did you find the stamp thing?
I assume you mean the stamper I use at the end? I think my wife got it for me off Etsy.
How much is ShipStation? Is it cheaper than eBay's services?
It is free!

You definitely need to get a thermal printer.

First can I get a box, card
Stop with the damn painters tape. That is so annoying. You already put the card in the bag and that is enough
Painters tape comes off in seconds.
