Just today I received a raw card in a penny sleeve, inside an envelope. The card was (obviously) bent and creased. The seller said the bends should “come out in a binder.” Wonderful.
Yeah, No. That is a claim to ebay for a full refund. Don't stop with that response from the seller.
Omg. I HATE when buyers want me to do that. Like HELL NO I'm not putting it in an envelope. Wtf?!
@@kylewarren5268I’ve always shipped PWE but always in a top loader and team bag. Never had an issue with a customer
@@mysticdragonx3535 ive had fee issues with that, but if it's just 15 bucks, no problem. Only had 3 problems in hundreds of PWE shipments.
That sucks
You can find some thin card board
That can help protect cards
It may cost $2.00 or more
But,it's well worth it
And never use a PWE
Extremely thorough and cost breakdown. I recently found my childhood collections and this video will surely help me get started buying and selling. Thank you 🙏
Hi buddy, I just want to say I really appreciate your content. I’ve started collection again because of your channel. Thank you for that ❤
I love the quality of your videos and the insight you provide. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Thank you for talking about the 5x7 paperboard envelope!
Great video as always PC! Learned some new things to use on my store for sure! We appreciate you and look forward to connecting with you soon.
Dude, you're the man. Very helpful video.
eBay is literally hands down overall one of the best platforms I’ve ever sold on. I couldn’t care less about the fees and taxes etc, we all pay those day to day on many other platforms as well. eBay is my go to! Excellent video here. 🤘🏼
Thank you for taking your time to do this video it helps alot and is appreciated.
Cheers mate
as always, such a helpful video. thanks so much
Very nice job of explaining things . Appreciate your time. I stopped collecting in the 90's. Julio Rodriguez brought me back. Reminds me so much like Griffey Jr. when he was 19. Thanks again
Julio Rodriguez has an awesome name too.
Like usual, fantastic all around content. Great edit, thumbnail, title, timing, & cadence. You really know your audience. Bravo, sir 👏Thank you!
Hey man, do you happen to know if selling on eBay through your phone is easy? Or do you really need a computer to be able to do it right?
Ive been selling on ebay for over 3 years up until laat year i did almost everything done on my phone. But a laptip would be extremely helpful especially when they ask you to clarify your most previous bank statement ane they yell you no screen shots. So you would have to upload a pdf of it and use the computer for that portion. Other than that i have been selling singles and sealed products with no issues.
Great video, especially for someone who is looking to get into starting an Ebay store based on Pokémon cards.
This is the most helpful video I have seen. Thank you I appreciate your tips it makes me more confident to start selling on eBay!
Happy to help, and don't be afraid to get started on eBay . . . everything in life has a learning curve, but you'll find your way. What's life without a little adventure? Best wishes!
Thank you for the great informative video.
No nonsense thank you brother
Great info. Thanks
I would add for the more expensive cards that signature confirmation is available to purchase. Nice additional piece of mind for the more high end product.

Thanks again!
Since I have a difficult time taking a card out of the top loader, I also put a pull tab for people who may be like me 🤣. Awesome info 👍.
I do this, too. I hate trying to dig cards out of top loaders
Thanks good video
awesome video
Nice video
I don't like the "ebay" labelled supplies, because it tells people ebay stuff is inside, BUT a heavy cardstock like the paperboards is legitimately, the BEST protection option. combined with rigid top-loaders, for raw cards. My go-to for years now.
I personally ship all of my cards in #00 or #000 bubble mailers that I buy in bulk so they only cost me about 10 to 15 cents each.
Anytime I ship something that can be bent or crushed I just use old boxes and build a barrier around the item. Adds a few oz of weight, but super worth it.
*In case any comments haven’t explained* USPS Ground Advantage has replaced & combined 3 Shipping options: USPS Parcel Select Ground, USPS Retail Ground, & USPS First-Class
I’m so nervous to start a store because I don’t even know how the process of the selling on the computer works. Also, do you have to have a label printer? How does that work? Is it possible to explain more in another video? I appreciate the content. I actually just did my first trade through a bubble mailer the other day. Luckily the other person was very helpful and patient with me.
I started selling when you made this video. My local post office charges $0.44 Non-machinable surcharges and $0.48 for extra 2 ounces on cardboard photo-mailers. I almost had to shut-down! I had customer orders going missing, USPS contacting the buyer to pay for fees and to pick-up the item at the post office. Simply horrifying for the buyer and sell
I’ve had similar experiences in the last couple months. USPS changed some of their procedures since I published this video, none of them for the better.
Hi I found your video very helpful I want to start sending cards, I have a question can I use these methods to send cards outside the US as well or do I have to use another method?
This is a great video. I have a problem with letting go of cards though, any cure? I did sell 1 Pokémon card, and always have regretted it lol
What about combined orders/payment for combined shipping? How do you properly configure eBay to allow combined orders to ensure everything is calculated correctly?
UPS shipping label on USPS priority boxes... big brain.
not sure if you're grading often, but if so, can we get some return vids?
Wow! I need to move to the US. Canada’s shipping options are so terrible!
I am definitely a rookie at this… you should do a video on making labels. I have never done that, what’s needed?
If you’re selling on eBay, it’s really simple. Once an item sells, eBay provides a series of shipping options. You pick the option you want, pay the shipping cost, and then print the label directly from eBay. Then cut it out and attach it to the box/envelope. That’s pretty much it.
Hey brother, just recently started selling on eBay and just had a question. Can I use the “eBay standard envelope” label on 5x7 bubble mailer? Appreciate the content definitely helped
The eBay standard envelop is intended for plain white envelopes not bubble mailers. The rigid ones I recommended are also recommended and accepted by eBay. I’m pretty sure a bubble mailer would be too thick and get rejected though.
You think if my card just sold for 20.50 dollars I can just put it in an envelope and not a bubble mailer?
The eBay standard envelope situation isn’t any better. The tracking is still non existent. I buy cards daily and if I wasn’t an honest person I could claim they never showed up because the tracking constantly shows card is still being shipped even when it’s in my possession. I’ve spoke to multiple sellers and they’ve said the $1.11 envelope situation has cost them tons of money
I don't sell in large volumes, but haven't had issues with it. However, I have heard occasional complaints from seller's about the tracking. I think it's viable option for lower value cards, but like I said my experience is relatively small compared to a lot of larger sellers out there.
Quick question from a new card seller here: If I use the standard eBay label, where do I send my cards off to? Can I just go to USPS and send it there?
Yes, if you buy and print a USPS shipping label directly from eBay (which is quite easy), simply attach the label to the envelope and drop it off at any post office.
I have tried eBay standard envelope twice now and the post office has rejected them saying they are too rigid. Not sure what I am doing wrong here.
Can you describe your packaging process? eBay literally created this option in partnership with USPS, so if you follow their shipping guide you should be good. I think the postage can only be purchased directly from eBay (not available at the post office).
So if you're just about to ship a $50 trading card through the ground advantage option, would you use a box or just ship it in the plastic bubble mailer?
I wrap the slab in one small layer of bubble wrap and put it into a bubble mailer. I've never had any issues with this approach.
@@pokemon_classics awesome, thanks for the reply! I'm looking to start selling a small amount of cards over time (ranging from $20-$100++) and am finding its better this route via ebay than tcgplayer.
I didn't know about the $25 quarterly coupon. How do I go about accessing it?
Go to your eBay store, click "manage my store", then click "subscriber discounts" and you should find a coupon link. They really like to hide it from store owners.
Do ya write the address onto the envelope or print a label and tape it?
Print it and tape it . . . super easy!
im surprised you get away with using the cardboard mailers for standard envelope. my post office is a pain in the assss. i have to drive 20 mins to another post office for standard envelopes with a top loader. they say its too rigid, and mark it up to a first class package.
I went to ship a card in a small bubble mailer like you show and the post office said I cannot send first class because it was over quarter inch. All it had was the bubble mailer and card in top loader. They said minimum I could ship for was ground advantage which was $4.90 to ship to an address within my own state. So from what I was told the bubble mailer you showed would not be able to be sent first class cause it could not have been any thicker than my bubble mailer. Can you confirm if those bubble mailers you have are less than a quarter inch? The only thing I can think is that those mailers may be a bit smaller than what I used. Otherwise, if what I was told at the post office was correct, those mailers you show also cannot be sent first class.
I mentioned this in the video, but USPS changed the old First Class option to Ground Advantage for packages (about $4.00 purchased online) and then made First Class the "cheaper option" for regular envelopes (under 1/4 inch thick). Personally, I don't use the new First Class option, since eBay's Standard Shipping Envelope is essentially the same service but cheaper. Instead, I use the rigid envelopes for eBay Standard Envelope orders under $20, the bubble mailers with Ground Advantage for orders $20-100, and the Small Flat Rate Box for orders over $100. That's my system and how I described it in the video (the bubble-mailers were specifically shown with Ground Advantage). You should be able to use the rigid cardboard envelopes with a toploader, if you choose to go the First Class shipping route. They don't offer a ton of protection, but more than a normal envelope.
Thank you for clarifying. Yes, it seems first class is good for nothing any longer other than mailing a bill, letter or birthday card to your Grandma.
It's ok, no pressure you can list your items without the pressure of a monolith. You seem like you're under duress.
ebay doesn’t send me no quarterly coupons 😢
Do you have a store subscription? If so, they don’t email them, they are hidden in your account settings (or they should be).
@@pokemon_classics nah I don’t pay for a store, I’m basic..
That’s prob why I don’t get em
My only issue with ebays shipping is for the ebay standard envelope under $20 has NO SHIPPING /TRACKING INFO. I'd be happy to pay up to $1 for them to provide SOME sort of accurate shipping/ tracking for those cards. Other than that the post office can stop Jacking up prices due to inflation. Like nothings changed on that end... still dropping a card off to a mailbox, nor aure how that mereits such a Extensive coat range for usps 1st shipping. Sorry! Uspa ground they call it now 😂
Imo, you shouldn't say: Let's roll the intro. It kicks in better if you don't say that but rather just play it after the last sentence.
This still sounds so complex being a noobie.
