Nice job on the interview & definitely a nice boat. You've certainly peaked my interest in trimarands.😁 Now I'm wishing you had spent an hour or two filming the engineering parts and made this a 30 minute video. 😂 Regards from the Northern Gulf of Mexico 🙏🙋♂️
Did I miss it? Or did you not film the head layout? I’m guessing it has a wet head. As indicated by the sparse interior. However, it does look like it would be easy to wipe down and keep clean. Looks like it would be a great coastal/ seasonal (summer holiday) cruiser. I’m sure you could full time cruise with it if you so choose. There are probably people doing just that currently. It just seems like the prospect of full time or extended cruising with it. Would leave you wanting. Granted, every boat is a compromise and this one is no different. It definitely looks like great fun. Especially at the quoted performance. Sporty indeed.
Good for you two if you can better your lives and also continue to enjoy your life as it comes at you everyday. Given that, I Don’t understand some of these shortsighted comments.
Some odd comments to this video!!!! So unusually i will leave a comment. enjoy tuning in each week whatever your doing, loved the tour of the boat only a shame you could not take it for a spin :-) keep up the great content
Thanks so much for the comment! Yeah we were quite taken aback by some of the comments too! Glad you enjoyed though and appreciate you tuning in each week :) We would have loved to have gone out for a spin - Dragonfly if you're watching we're available 😂
❤️ Trimarans, not a fan of Catamarans, But Downsides are Multihull expenses, frequently far too much open space Saloon areas without sufficient handholds and wedge in securely places when things start getting a bit rough. P.us Chronic overcharging for Marina Berths IF you can even get one with that Beam. Too much insecure space particularly affects me due to physical disability, but able bodied people getting thrown around Break things like bones as well. Modern production Monohull boats with their improved larger Beam and fore and aft Chines, do seem to be much easier to have good possibilities for Companionway handholds trough to port and starboard handholds up to the forecabin and back, so even someone like disabled me can keep Sailing. So Definitely Subjective thinking about what I can personally live with and be Comfortable with, which is more about what .I need, rather than Want. I Want a Trimaran (almost bought one tears ago) but sadly Need Rules one out. How much was that one by the way Bryn ? I bet its a lot more than the 40ft to 50 ft boat I'm likely to end up with ? 🤔
PS. look at the interior of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 and 490, which is pretty much the Yardstick of what I'm looking for below decks, and Companionways with 4 3asy angled Steps. the 440 has Traditional Direct Drive, the 490, has Saildrive, and if you get the bigger engine option, you can have the better ZF Saildrive option than the Standard Yanmar Saildrive (Pass). Set up right, even disabled me can single hand them too, withnin mast furling, furling Genoa, and a furling Code Zero. But I'd have to upgrade the winches to next size up electric ones (I'll have to do that whatever boat I get tbh, to ensure full furling ability in higher strength winds). Best Wishes and Fair Winds All. Bob. 👍🙂
Probably not! Though if you're someone into boats, boat tours and boat designs/building etc is still an interesting topic. That's the Southampton Boat Show though, walk around and see all the boats you'll never afford 🤣
@@ChasingCurrents Meant no disrespect 💜 It's channels like yours that inspired me to buy a sail boat on the cheap with no experience or knowledge on boating and just go for it!
In what way? Brynn has been very open about loving boats, boat building, boat tours. Its certainly not like we're buying one! Some people are interested in looking around boats they can't afford so we thought whilst at the show why not do something different. Would be interested to hear in what way we've sold out?

@@TheAncientMarinersBlog I have replied to your other comment but will reply here. If you know us and were rooting for us I would have assumed you would have asked before jumping to conclusions. They are press passes, not exhibitor passes. Anyone can apply for this on the boat show website. We were there in a photography/video capacity, and asked over 15 boats if we could do boat tours. Only 2 said yes. There is a big viewer pool for boat tours, people love looking around boats and seeing boats they can't afford. We loved exploring all the ridiculously expensive boats, and thought MAYBE people not at the boat show would want to see too. Everyone's conculsion with anything slightly out the ordinary is 'sponsored' when in reality we are two people filming what we are doing, which was being at the boat show. Not really any need to be heartbroken considering we are just a TH-cam channel who went to a boat show and filmed stuff. Did you have any other issues?
We will take this brief one week interlude to share some boat show content with you, and normal viewing will be resumed next week on Friday 😁⛵️
Thanks for your interest in the Dragonfly 40, and it was a pleasure to meet you both
Thanks so much for letting us have a look round, was great meeting you too 😁

Excellent video. I liked the relevant questions. Looking forward to more.
Thanks Lance! Glad you enjoyed :)
Nice tour and info session those trimarrans are state of the art i like the Rapido too with folding almas so you can fit into a standard marina berth

Steering position is very exposed - is there an auto steering device?
Great review
Did you want to sail on this one if I can arrange?

is this not perhaps a total sellout and a teeny-weeny betrayal of pretty much everything you guys have stood for over the past few years?
