Can we make this Xmas No1 in the UK (or any other country for that matter) in 2024? 32 years old and still so relevant today's youth. Referencing: Anxiety, the aspirational need to be validated by others, body diamorphia and imposter syndrome amongst other mental health issues we're only just recognising today. A stunning, striking and sincere set of lyrics that were light years ahead of the time, and will be forever more.
This song hits me right in my core and soul. Many of us have all felt like this before, misfits and alone. The way he portrays these raw personal emotions with his voice, words and tone in just a short few minutes will have this song touching our hearts and have us holding back tears for centuries to come.
The lyrics in the song are probably some of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I'm not a radio head fan. But this is a top tier song that can never be paralleled.
This song reminds me of the hot girls I couldn't get in High School. That time was 2009. I'm so glad I'm in a different point in my life. Still single, but this subject is not as much of a big deal like it was back then.
Materialism and chasing superficial things in the world have definitely caused me to fall into deep depression too many times. The whole concept of comparing oneself with those around them, and trying to one-up them in how much “success” one can gain is a destructive path that only leads to pain and self-hatred (and sometimes, from many people I’ve known, it lead to them ending their own lives). It might be hard (trust me, I know), but try to live compassionately, and try to pursue something that’s actually important to you (a hobby, for instance). It’s worth it, I promise. Take care of yourselves out there.
I feel like the cause of us being materialistic is to distract ourselves from our loneliness. This song really expresses the feeling of solitude so well.
but the number depends on how many times the video is streamed, so ppl might also keep this song on repeat. (like me lol, gonna do a cover on this very soon)
This song will forever live by me, helped me in the worst moments of my life so far but also helped me realize the beauty of what would eventually be of overcoming any obstacle the life throws at you. They might hate it but I will forever love them for coming up with something so simple that speaks volumes to me. And all I can about it is thank you.
You can almost feel the pain inside him when he's singing this song. He was in love with a dream, or a girl he knew he could never have. Definitely a song many men can relate to. The guitar riff in the chorus is SENSATIONAL.
Definitions of hard times depend on how tough the person is mentally. Me, I'm pretty damn weak myself. The people who see me in real life and know me know that I am the same person in a group of people and when I'm alone. Hard times can range from a break up to losing someone in a car crash, or to be at the very bottom, with no hope, nothing and nobody to live for. It can mean anyone, I was just leaving it open for different interpretations of what hard moments even are.
They don’t like it because of how much they were asked to play it and because this song stole the spotlight from all of their other songs that would be released after. People were hooked onto this song and the band mainly gained popularity for this one song(especially in the U.S).
These "special" people who you are referring to are no other than the majority of posers and entry level Radiohead fans ; if you're fans in the first place smh 🤭
Years and years have passed and I NEVER posted a comment like those idiots saying which day, month or year they listen some music or see something else. I'm a perfect human being

"Multiple Genres".The single Creep and the album Pablo Honey barely had any impact on any genre at all. Literally just a narrow debut for the british alt-rock scene during the 90's. I bet all of you still quite on the entry level of Radiohead. If you want something truly "influential", who had impact on multiple genres, take a good look at Kid A,who redefined electronic/art rock music, and music in general jeez.

Tiger Tooth I don’t see how that relates to anything
He had regrets making this song. I have no regrets listened to it -- over and over again!
That is a masterpiece. I am 68 and this song relates to a deep human feeling caused by a materialistic world. great song- scratches an itch
56, and I feel the same.

I feel like the cause of us being materialistic is to distract ourselves from our loneliness. This song really expresses the feeling of solitude so well.

Calm down guys. Everyone can relate to this song. It doesn't matter how hard you suffered.
It is
Definitions of hard times depend on how tough the person is mentally.

One of those songs that has impact across multiple genres.

Fact's im a hip hop fan
"Multiple Genres".The single Creep and the album Pablo Honey barely had any impact on any genre at all.
Literally just a narrow debut for the british alt-rock scene during the 90's.
I bet all of you still quite on the entry level of Radiohead.
If you want something truly "influential", who had impact on multiple genres, take a good look at Kid A,who redefined electronic/art rock music, and music in general jeez.
