Great FLICK CONNECTION presentation Darren. Dune certainly deserves your #1 spot. All the best for you all including Peanut and and many thanks for sharing with us 👍👍👍
😮Boss Level was so much fun and hard for me to find! Thanks 😊 🎉
Delight your doggy.
Pig definitely deserves to be on here. A fantastic movie.
The best overlooked movies on Tubi: 1) Castaway on the Moon, 2) Border, 3) Zombie Ass, 4) Bloody Hell, 5) The Captain, 6) The Wall, 7) Sea Fog, 8) The Vampire Lovers, 9) Rare Exports, 10) Santa Sangre
Thank you for going back to putting the movie names in the chapters.
I love The Beach. That movie always takes me back to the feeling of being a young adult. I was 19 when it came out, and it always really spoke to me.
I see Oh, Brother Where Out Thee flipping through channels (back when we used to flip thru channels) or even walk into a room when it’s playing, and I’m in it for the duration. 10 thumbs up.
You always pick some of my favorite "new" movies and several on this list are personal favs.
Appreciate the videos.
Some day we should talk about "old" movies I love, classics, the TCM black and white, golden days of Hollywood stuff like Thin Mans, and all the film noirs, and the stupendous war movies and Westerns that made me who I am as much as my Dad.
Take care Darren and keep them coming, I'll keep watching and clicking the likes.
Glad you recognize Pig. That movie absolutely floored me, incredible film.
I have seen them all, but I do like to hear what you have to say Daz. I respect your advice because you have given us some content we have missed. Keep it up Mr !
I’m slowly building up a collection of all your T-Shirts! Amazing quality!!! ❤❤❤
I rewatched The Beach a few weeks ago. First time since it was released. Very enjoyable and a nice reminder of the 90s. Boss Level came as a total surprise and was a little firecracker of a movie. Highly recommend.
Poor Things entertained the hell out of me. When a movie makes me laugh out loud, that's a winner in my book. I LOVED it.
It's hilarious
It was like watching a train wreck but at the same time I couldn’t look away.
Happy to see a plug for Boss Level.
Saw the anniversary re-release of the Abyss in movie theaters this past winter. Still holds up, the messaging maybe holds up even more. Still cried at any scene that made me cry 20 years ago. Great movie
The Abyss blew my mind when i was a kid watching it for the first time. Still the same when i watch it now. The ending is one of the greatest of all time.
Poor Things was an exceptional movie on every level. It did a great job challenging the audience to reflect on perceptions of women in relation to men and female sexual autonomy
'Not the delightful kind"? Cracked me up.
I’ve watched Boss Level like 5 or 6 times. It doesn’t get old.
Poor Things and Pig are 2 great adult movies.
Darren, my brother, thanks for the suggestions. I watched Monkey Man, and I enjoyed it a lot after I got out of my head and into the movie. I liked the John Wick-type fight scenes. I'm going to search for R R R after dinner. Thanks again, Darren. You are the man.
Bro the BEACH is one of my favorite Leo movies. This will definitely take you on an adventure
Incendies is a brilliant movie, also Ferrari just got released and that is worth watching Too. I'll have to rewatch O brother, have-not seen it since 2000 when it was first released
I enjoy the heck out of Hulu
Also i wish you would have a tutorial video on how to easily change region with a VPN to see movies in other countries. I bet a VPN would sponsor it massively
Really enjoyed Pig, thank you!
Hulu is one of my favorite ( I have pretty much all of them) and, I believe, cost effective streaming services I have.
So glad you picked "The Abyss". It's 1 of my top 10 favourite movies. Keep doing your stuff, love your take on films (if at times a bit weird)!!!!!
Boss Level is Excellent. I don't always agree with FC, but Boss Level is great.
I love The Abyss!!!
Btw your skin looks so good
thx
Poor Things - one of the best movies I have seen in years. Absolutely stunning and unforgettable IMHO.
Yes I have to say Darren missed the boat by a long ways on poor things. It’s a brilliant film and that from a 70 year old boomer who is not a self labelled feminist.
Yea, I loved it and I'm far from the core target audience I'm guessing. I guess it's meant to be a feminist story but it struck me as more of a story about the absurdity of being a human.
@@Chiller11 Hey, I turn 70 later this year. Always one throughout my life that has looked to movies to be more of an experience than just blind entertainment (though sometimes I like those too).
I hated it!
@@WilliamNeish you have a problem. Go back to watching Expendables 4.
The Tiger (2015)
It's an excellent Korean film available on a lot of free apps.
I've seen all of these movies except for Ali and O Brother where art thou ? So now I have two moives to watch this weekend the other movies on this list are all Great movies I would highly recommend ! I think you undersold how Great Poor Things is I saw it in the movie theater when it 1st came out and again on Hulu and even though this movie isn't for everyone and with all the sex its definitely not for family movie night it's in my top 5 movies of last year I highly recommend it 🤩👍
O Brother is comfortably in my all time top 10. Absolutely great movie. Hope you like it!
I LOVE THE ABYSS!!!!! HAS IT ALL,I COULD WATCH IT OVER AND OVER!!!!
Pig 🐷 was a surprisingly great movie. The Abyss is a classic
Your reviews are very helpful!
I love your reviews! and I take notes.
...but Ali was not made in 2021
Thanks for another list.
Poor Things is absolutely fantastic. Definitely not for everyone, but I feel everyone should see it.
Haven't watched "Poor Things" yet. "Boss Level" is a lot of fun, definitely a hidden gem, and I always thought "Pormetheus" wad under-rated, we enjoy it!
Boss Level is such a great movie, I’ve seen it a few times now. Dune is awesome in every way possible.
Thank you for what you do. I love the movies, and you make it easier to do so. 🖖
Boss Level is a good movie to see while you’re doing something else.
Great lineup! 😊 thanks!
The movie pig is a good choice! I love this movie
First saw O Brother Where Art Thou in Germany where it was released earlier than in the US. Not fluent enough to keep up with the German dubbed dialogue, I paid more attention to the visuals.
Good to see some love for Poor Things in the comments. Not for everyone, NOT a feminist story and normally you should just read the book, but man what a performance on almost every level!
Wait was this based on a Book 📖 if so this is 1st time I've heard about it 🤔 but yes I totally agree I Love this movie and Beau is Afraid two movies that would probably turn off a lot of people but I love them because of how odd they are 🙂👍
It is a feminist story. Wtf are you talking about?
It's also pro pedo. F that disgusting story.
It’s totally a feminist movie just a different take on it!
@@Royce88
As a passionate student of Alasdair Gray, the actual writer of the story, I can assure you that the only feminist thing about it is in the eye of the beholder. It's really too simplistic to label this multi-layered critique on the societal narrow-minded and scientifically arrogant as feminist because the object of study, not necessarily the protagonist, is female. To make the film into what it is for a millennial audience adds a layer of comedy to an intelligent coup de grâce that clearly is beyond quite a number of viewers.
This, from my point of view, only adds to the comedic effect.
So thank you for your comment.
I remember I had that book 20 years ago and never read it. Friend that gave it to me didn’t want to explain it. Y’know, “just read the damn thing” Now I’m torn whether to check the book out first.
Legend has it the Hatfields and McCoys killed each other over a pig. More to that of course, but it was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned Pig.
IMO, Hulu has a lot of great original series content.
I love your channel, it's helped me discover a lot of great movies I would have never seen otherwise. That being said I'm going to humbly request you never use the phrase "eye guzzling" ever again. That's a wildly unpleasant word combination.
I watched Bloodshot but I do not remember how it ended.
Always, great video!
Hey, Bloodshot has Eiza González. So it can't be all bad😊
Boss Level is okay, but any movie with Frank Grillo automatically earns extra points.
Love Frank Grillo and the combination of him and Mel Gibson as the bad guy made it an automatic watch for me.
I was gobsmacked by Emma Stone’s performance in “Poor Things”. I think it took a tremendous amount of courage and dedication to the craft.
Boss level is epic
Poor Things was really good. You must consider the source i.e. The Lobster
Poor Things was honestly one of my favorite movies of the past few years
Thanks as always for the recommendations. I will have to check out Pig.
Great picks.....again.
Oh, you gave me an idea: You could do an all Nick Cage video.
THANKS
Thanks for posting these videos. They're a real relief from the constant scrolling.
I am curious why “The Creator” has not been mentioned.
I liked Bloodshot.
I totally felt like I was smoking weed watching the beach.
I am pleasantly surprised by the love of "Poor Things" in the comments. I also mostly loved it. Emma Stone was absolutely amazing in it. Best of all, I laughed, a lot. I totally understand why someone wouldn't care for it too much, but I think everyone that considers themselves a movie fan should at least give it at least a try.
I also really dig Prometheus.
Good picks
Thank you
Poor Things is one of my favorite movies on the year. Mark Buffalo and Emma Stone were brilliant. Beautiful movie with witty dialogue and strange but interesting concept.
Poor things is pretty dam good!!,,, blood shot is shockingly bad,,boss level is an Amazon original, and is really good,it needs a sequel
Promethazine was 💣
Dude, I hope the t-shirts working.
The Abyss and O’ Brother Where Art Thou are just a great movies. Never seen Pig sounds like a fun "taken". "Godzilla minus one" on Netfix is the best SIFI movie I have seen in a long time at 16,000,000 so much deeper charter development and story. Dune is okay but disney just pumping out the garbage with only a few good movies and star wars are the worst of these.
I used to love Hulu back when it first started but slowly Disney took over and ruined it compared to what it was.
Great FLICK CONNECTION Darren. Dune deserves the #1 spot. Many thanks for sharing with us, much appreciated. All the best to you all and Peanut 👍👍👍
I saw Bloodshot earlier this week, I loved it.
Trolly McTrollerface has entered the chat.
Pig is definitely a top 3 Cage movie.
Emma Stone was the reason tried to watch. Sinamax does it better.lol
Loved Poor Things!. Shame it didn't work for you.
Look, the bots are out. I mean dogs.
Great video
You’ve never been to the PNW sir.. it’s the greenest place in the world other than the rainforest!!! No where in the south can compare!
Ali came out in 2001, not 2021.
Bloodshot is not coming up in the search.
The most visually stunning movie I've seen is The Legend (1993) with Jet Li.
until you said Bloodshot was "forgettable" I was about to post my first comment ever disagreeing with you. but seriously, that movie is so forgettable I watched it for a 2nd time thinking it was my fist go around, and then remembered I had seen it before about halfway through 😂😂
I wish Sundays had cat food
I totally agree with you about Pig. Great film
DVD: A+ recommendation list, m8!
I think Ali came out in 2001 not 2021.
It did. I was just about to comment that untill I saw yours.
Pig was surprisingly good. Thanks for the recommendation
Had to break up my watch of Poor Things. It was off-putting, but I had to finish it.
Boss Level was a great fun watch.
The Abyss, Dune and O' Brother Where Art Thou are classics.
Knowing nothing about poor things. That warning was still hilarious
Eye guzzling?
I love Hulu, I hated their live tv, it sucked but their streaming movies and TV are awesome. Plus I get Disney+ and ESPN+ with the subscription.
I'm going to totally disagree with you on "Poor Things."
It was totally a delight to watch, especially if one is into Wes Anderson and Terry Gilliam style movies. Sure there was a LOT of sex, but in context it strangely made sense.
Man, Pig is such a gem!
Prometheus is a gorgeous failure.
Boss level reminds me of the supernatural episode: mystery spot, If the critics are correct and poor things was written with misandry I won't be giving it a try, wish I didn't give hocus pocus 2 a try
