Hey Darren, What size are you and what size shirt are you wearing? For a reference when order one of your shirts. Thanks! Oh and I watched Beau is afraid not too long ago. So you were more disturbed by the Parker posey scene than the attic scene? For real?
I'm frustrated that many of these movie recommendation aren't actually available "from Prime". They channel the movie from other sources--like Hulu or Netflix--then offer you a trial subscription or you have to pay an extra fee. That's not "from Prime" when they do that. Very first-world-frustrating.
@@Ray_Comments-yh5bw no its not It has NOTHING to with ALien INvasion I beginning to think that you watch this literally not paying attention to say " how we're reacting to alien contact and a lot of that reaction is as if it's an invasion" when people were fascinated by it and running to the Alien
I haven't seen Punch Drunk Love in 20 years. I'll have to watch it again, I remember liking it. Also Black Dynamite, _"He's super cool and knows Kung-Fu"_ I love that movie.
"A new Celine Dion thing,if you're somehow still into her "... If you don't have anything nice to say for someone going through a difficult time, then just say nothing. No need to be a jerk.
I remember watching The Grey in an empty theater, and like you said, the cinematography is amazing! I think it's a great story relating to the "nothing else to live for" dynamic.
I have seen "Midnight Run" at least a dozen times. It never gets old. I love watching it with people who have never seen it before, especially if they had no idea that it even existed.
Someone wouldn't speak to me anymore after he said "Oppenheimer is Nolan's best work and it's not even close" and all I said was "Oppenheimer isn't even close to Nolan's best work." That was it. He was done with me. Good flick, but the hype machine was definitely involved in that.
I love your videos but I'm confused about your shirts in the beginning u say they run small and at the end of the video u say they run big please let me know so I can get the right fit ty
even tho i pay for prime, their video section is a ripoff. you have to pay for good movies and you also get ads. just like peacock, even tho u pay your subscription, you have to endure ads. what a ripoff. if it wasent for the shopping,i would have dropped prime a long time ago. and im in the process of dropping p cock
"Punch Drunk Love" is *continually* mis-labeled a comedy when in fact it is a melodrama at best. It does give Sandler an opportunity to display his acting chops, and Paz Vega a chance at the American market.
I enjoyed Blowup in the day. This title did make me think of it. It was about a photojournalist who accidentally photographed something he had to find.
I love this channel, but I watched this entire video Just because I thought I saw The Last Voyage of the Dementer in the intro clip. Sadly it was not there…. Freakin’ Bummer😢🤨😞 I want to see that film, but don’t have a streaming service that it’s on🤬 we spend so much money, and still miss movies🤬🤬
Your are the best! 'Midnight Run' is my pick for tonight! 'Incendies' is superb, I have the bluray and watched many times. I wouldn't call 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' an alien invasion movie but more an alien visitation. Thank you so much you are amazing! and you are spot on re 'Oppenheimer' btw.
request if u could list movies of which u added clips in intro please..thx for reminding us of last castle...i trieed watchin openhimer thrice ..just couldnt..ur genius
I just finished watching season 1 of *"The Boys"* yesterday & what an oddly fantastic, gory spectacle it was. Intriguing characters especially Homelander. Looking forward to the other seasons but I can't imagine any of them being better than season 1??? I'll see....
🤣 Oh ho ho, you're in for a hell of a ride. If you think it couldn't get more Boys, you'll be really shocked. Literally! It gets wilder 🤣 I never know how to explain The Boys to those who have lost interest in super heroes, to get them interested in watching it. But no one I know is ever disappointed. There are a few I won't recommend it to, cause you know, I got a rep to protect, and wouldn't want hem to think less of me. The Boys is brilliant and fun!
@@festersmith8352 Indeed it is fun. Just Finished episode 1 of S2 & again, wow. It's to the point that if I watch an episode and I'm not shocked or surprised by something then I'm a little disappointed. Great writing & acting. It's funny but just an image of Homelander & then watching a short clip is what got me interested in "The Boys" and I love it!
cillian & downey jr & nolan, especially nolan, will have to be involved in at least 5 masterpieces each to get the stench of this insult to cinema off of their bodies. worst "best pic" since, well, all of them after "silence of the lambs".
I watched No Country For Old Men 3 times in one week when it was released on DVD, to try and answer all the questions I had watching the movie. I could watch it again anytime.
I rarely get time to watch series but my wife and I both recently enjoyed Fall Out a lot. I had only played one of the games a little but thought the show was great. Apple TV's mini series Blackbird was one of the best shows I saw last year, Mr. Inbetween was my favorite the year before that and Shorsey currently in it's 3rd season on Hulu is every bit as funny as any Danny McBride series.
Just wanted to clarify, when you talked about your shirts early in the video you said they ran a little small and at the end you said remember they run a little big
Excellent FLICK CONNECTION Darren. Stand out films for me are Ong Bak and No Country For Old Men. Many thanks for sharing with us, much appreciated 👍👍👍
i just realised americans say "Egg" like 'aig/ayg' and they say danial Craig like "cregg" - that makes literaelly no sense. Craig should sound like how you guys say Egg.
Any reviewer that's familiar with Brick has done some homework. Great movie. Another movie released around the same time that has a similar offbeat-teen flavor is The Chumscrubber.

What is with the love for Oppenheimer? It was a good movie but putting it on a pedestal is crazy. Geez movie making has gotten so bad that you millennials think average movies are fantastic.
No, Michael Bay is just terrible. There is no excusing his mistakes. He made some crappy movies, made the studio's some money. But he is terrible, there is no way to slice up a shit sandwich to make it look good. But the unwashed masses eat it up, so the studio makes money, so they say hey, want to do another one? Kind of like the Saw franchise, like every movie rebooted, re-imagined, redone. The studio exec's are just as responsible for the decline of movie goers. They produce garbage and wonder why people are not flocking back to see a rehash of a shit sandwich. Chasing bad money after bad money. But AI can write scripts now.. do you see where this is going?
I've been tracking Prime lately and the sheer number of movies being added has been insane the last two months; 300 day drops are not uncommon and not only at month end/beginning. Unfortunately, most of it is pure crap at best. Seems like a lot of 80's and 90's "B movies".

Dude, did you even see "Closing Encounter of the third kind" to call it an Alien Invasion film?

I REALLY appreciate you making the effort to find the good stuff on Prime. It's ridiculously hard to hunt them out there. GREAT eye you have.

Also Black Dynamite, _"He's super cool and knows Kung-Fu"_ I love that movie.
Predestination is adaptation of a classic short story by Robert Heinlein “All You Zombies” and very faithful. This, by itself, makes it a must see…
Yea, "Fat Man and Little Boy" was much better than "Oppenheimer".
About 5000% better. Oppenheimer was a huge misfire.
Black Dynamite ❤ AND you included the best line "but black dynamite, I sell drugs in the community" sooo good
1977 close encounters may be my fav Spielberg movie
God I love Brick. One of the first movies that got me into indies, and remains one of my favorite movies ever.
Shame on you, Close Encouters is NOT am aliem inasion movie.
Good movies but Close Encounters is NOT an alien invasion movie. Geeez.

"Predestination" is an incredible time travel movie! One of my all time favorites. Great acting and the twists! WOW!
I watch it at least one a year its so good.
Maybe if you haven't seen many movies...
Read The Unmarried Mother by Robert Heinlein. The movie was based on that
Predestination was garbage.
The ending of this film breaks my heart, every single time- talk about a situation that can never be resolved…
Hackers!
Brick, Layer Cake, No Country for Old Men are awesome movies!
Wait? ✋️ DO the shirts 👕 run loose or tight??

De Nero is a crazy ol fuk, couldn’t pay me to watch that sac ….
😂😂😂 “if you’re somehow still into her”. 😂😂😂
The edge...now that was a great movie...with some great quotes....sorely underrated
Layer Cake is bad ass movie ,and a must see!!!
Brick is one of the worst movies I've ever seen and I saw it when it was released.......
After what rian johnson did to star wars i will never watch anyrhing else hes involved with
Was Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind a n alien invasion movie? They didn't invade, they just visited .
Technically they came into our air space without permission so it is an invasion.

I found it dull, tedious, contrived and so disjointed.
Whoever they are, you’re better off without them!
who needs "friends" like that? it is easily his worst film, by far.
Cant beleive they made probably the most important part of history so f#cking boring.
Oppenheimer is one of the worst movies I have seen this year. It is just idiotic, and it make no sense.

me and a buddy skipped out on a couple classes to go see Dracula when it first came out and a heckler at the theater made it a hilarious experience.
MST3K eh? I’d love to hear some of his heckles.

Do you still have questions ???? I saw a fan theory that both the protagonist and antagonist are actually two sides to the same person.
"The Boy's" is based off a comic of the same name. If you think the TV is raunchy and violent it's nothing compared to the comics.
Black Dynamite is one of cinemas greatest achievements.

Also, Predestination was awesome.
So true with Oppenheimer - great movie but not nearly as rewatchable as other Nolan movies
You completely wrong about Oppenheimer but i know you like your movie more macho so i just discount that during these very helpful reviews
Remember when you could give Roger Corman fifty dollars and he would make a cult classic masterpiece film.

Predestination: bringing you a fresh take on time travel movies. From 1958.
