Hey TCNick3, I'm one of the guys who worked on the mod. The thing with gliding (including Up-B) is that it works exactly the same as it did in Brawl. You need to aim downwards first as the longer you descend, the more speed you build up that allows you to pitch up and ascend for longer. Do not up aim upwards straight away. Granted it takes practice and getting used to but it has insane recovery when you master it.
Does it work just like Steve's glide? Or different physics?

The biggest issue with Brawl Meta Knight is that there aren’t any bad inputs. While the skill ceiling is very high, mashing anything besides his jab is better than half of the cast in Brawl. It’s not that it doesn’t have skill involved, it’s that the skill was optional.
Honestly, "skill was optional" is a great description of brawl meta knight.

Making Steve should be easy.
In Smash 64, Pikachu was the Meta due it's near-flawless balance of high damage, speed, and recovery.
Kirby was also pretty good for a lightweight though.
Man, Brawl had the best sound effects for Meta Knight's sword and also Marth's sword and it's one thing from Brawl I still miss to this day

I dont even care how broken he is, I WISH he was still at least SOMEWHAT like this. Even if you make his attacks just slightly weaker and just shorten his glide rather than getting rid of it completely, I think it would be a definite improvement over how he basically fights with a butter knife nowadays

The pure joy EDM expresses whenever he does something good or cool is so damn contagious. Also, party hat. The severe lack of brim immediately disqualifies it from wizard hat status.
Literally the character I based my alias on haha. He felt fun and well balanced in Smash 4 but now he feels a little on the weak side. I wanted a slightly bigger sword so I learned Sephiroth too.

This reminds me of an idea I had a while back: A smash game where you can pick which game's mechanics you use. So you can queue up with a smash 4 mechanics bayo, or a melee fox. Possibly even combos that don't actually exist, like a brawl little mac (for some reason).
It would be a nightmare to make work, but it could be so fun if they figured out a way to make it playable.
Would love to see a mod where all the characters are their best versions. Would be nice to see Melee Fox fight Smash 4 Bayo or day one Pichu.

This is a great concept and it would be fun to see the mechanics of every busted Smash character to see how well they fair in Ultimate
64 Pika being completely intangible while using up-B, with tail attacks bigger than most swords, and a Thunder that sends up at such high speeds that it kills at disgustingly low percent and aerials that pin you in shield until it breaks.
Melee Fox with frame-1 shine and an up-air that deletes stocks disgustingly quickly.
Sm4sh Bayo effectively having 5 jumps, Witch Time trapping you longer the higher the percent your attack would do, down-smash at ledge being such a strong spike it can kill a wide array of characters at 0, the air mobility to directly contest Puff . . .
Honestly, the real question is which one is MOST busted.

@@elijahpadilla5083still brawl MK. The strongest should be the one with an infinite stall, which only MK has with his cape. The game now effectively means if you let him get 1 stock ahead, he auto win
@@hahalerymc6878 For that tactic to work consistently, he needs to be able to get that one stock lead in a majority of games he's in. It's why Peach, even with the Peach Bomber tech being possible in both Melee and early Brawl (where some of the stages with something under the stage to Peach Bomber infinite were still legal), was never top tier. She had an infinite stall you couldn't challenge, but couldn't consistently get into the winning position to start USING that stall.
The difference between cheese and dangerous tech is consistency, my friend.
Always remember Brawl Meta Knight will never be topped. Boss Battles in the brawl with only MK shreds everything

Why didn't you use meta knight's infinite invisibility? If you use his down b and repeatedly hit b, he stays invisible until you stop.
Glide happens if the jump button is held after the last jump. Nick wasn't counting, just mashing jump, lol
I loved whenever nick pointed out when a move was broken. The youtuber MockRock said in one of his videos that it's hard to remember how many of brawl Meta Knights moves were broken, because basically all of them were at the top of their category, often in the series.

Optimal MK made almost every fight look insanely one sided.
The difference in his hitboxes from his other variations is insane. He attacks you with a toothpick in 4 and Ultimate, meanwhile in Brawl Meta Knights sword is apparently capable of attacking through rifts in time and space to kill you half a stage a way with Shuttle Loop.

whats funny is meta knight is atchauly still SS tier on ultimate. he can 0 to death almost anyone. the issue is its extremly complicated as u would have to learn like 10 near frame perfect combos to use PER person you fight. he Is literaly equal to steve. the difrence being extremly hard to pull him off which is why hes not top tier
His sound effects were so deliciously crisp in Brawl (as for most of the sound effects) I miss them so much. Hate the new muffled sound effects of Smash 4 and Smash Ultimate

Pokémon are turn based and have long-ass animations for each move. Their fastest move is, like, frame 300.
Most of the Avengers cannot do anything if Meta Knight air camps. Hulk is combo food, and his Up-B invalidades Iron Man's entire kit.
Superman and the Flash are the only ones who can match his framedata, but the Flash gets sharked and edgeguaded fairly easily. Superman is close to an even matchup, but there is not much he can do if Meta Knight camps ledge invincibility.

The trick to going higher when recovering is using reverse up b. He'll grap the ledge at the height of it if you do it that way.

Unironically Brawl Meta Knight would destroy this game. Waiting around with freedom is so busted in Ultimate and in Brawl no one had the freedom to do nothing more than Meta Knight did. He has the speed and mobility to punish people for existing while being virtually unpunishable himself, I can almost see 90% of Ultimate's cast literally not being able to touch him.

A Suggestion, What if all Smash Bros characters where in their Primetime.
Probably seeing the true best of all would be great, if they had their best or debuted in Ultimate, make no changes.
An big example would be Fox who is mid in Ultimate but was basically a god in Melee
