We did Abergavenny, Llandovery, Owls Nest, Devils Staircase and Elan Valley on the 24 March, it was so good we did virtually the same route 2 weeks later but anti clockwise, 240 miles. Wales does have some amazing roads and views. First time we went the water was over one of the roads, got soaked but it was great fun. Going to Caernarfon Sunday and coming back Monday, about 400 miles 😁👍
Great to see your new ATAS out in the sunshine. We rode up to Ripley on Saturday to collect the wife's new GS1250. It was such a beautiful day we popped over to Bakewell for lunch. Never seen it so busy there this time of the year! After lunch we rode through Monyash and then Hartington before heading home to Essex. My ATAS was at home in the Dales and the wife was very happy on her new beast 😊 Safe riding Richy ❤
Absolutely stunning scenery, great ride with some great mates. Wales certainly has some brilliant roads, and you don't have to go fast to enjoy them? Richy, great name for a bike KEITH!
just had alittle chuckle at the end of your vlog where you stopped at the fork in the road and said it is devils staircase that way and Treageon the other myself and Sue were sat at the same spot last week in zero visability cloud and stair rodding rain asking for directions off a female farmer and her son coming back from the school run in their John Deer quad and when I said which fork for Treageon she replied in a broad Welsh accscent " Just keep left son and stay on the road "🤣🤣 Sue started laughing and said I was old enough to be her dad (64 yrs ). To say I honed my wet riding skills to near perfection would be an understatment all 939 mls of it. Wet, but still bliss and when we could see the scenery it was stunning.
Great video Richy, I just sold our house near Aberaeron at Christmas, have spent many an hour driving those roads, admittedly not as many as I would like on my Multistrada V4s. Lynn Brianne has been one of my favourite places for many years.
Been up round the dams a few times and love but it didn't go down to Llyn Brianne till after one of you previous video's. By far the least impresive dam but the roads around it are stunning. Will be over there again this year.
Feeling very jealous laying here on the sofa watching you boys having all the fun 😊. Just get my arse in gear and come down to Wales. 👍 hope you’re all well. Cheers
Awesome scenery around the Elan valley, we're off to Tresaith, Cardigan, next Saturday for a week's touring. Great video Richy, deffo better than the telly!!
I can only say a great episode. Great looking roads and great company. Love to join you??? Let me know how, if possible? If not though. Love the show. This is exactly what I love. And when I plan rides with my mates or brother they moan about this kind of riding 😂.. Catch you soon hopefully on a next ride… 👍
Hi rich not sure if you already know but the problem with the GoPro changing is you now have to remove the battery and it will run off the external power source, this was to solve overheating problems done in a update at some point
And I just found my new favourite channel here! The 'Outer Hebrides Ep2' was recommended to me and I just started watching 😀 Btw, you can make photos with your iPhone by using the volume buttons on the side. No need for the white button on the screen like you did in the mentioned video. For me, it's a lifesaver when wearing motorcycle gloves 😉 Good luck and grip on the road!
Richy can you do your helmet setup video?. I bought myself the new S1K RR and been doing POV and you can hear me talking since the mic is in the helmet but you can't hear the bike even though its loud and there's a lot of wind noise or me breathing into it and yours sounds so crisp.
Nice vid. I do like it when you put in people recognising you. I think it speaks to a wider shared feeling of community. I gotta be honest, though - I'm not feeling the vertical aspect ratio at the start. You would think it's a minor point, but it was really off-putting. Maybe it's just me.
first congratulations on the channel! I follow you here from Brazil and I'm a fan of your videos! I wanted to ask if you can provide a link to download the photo taken at 14:10? Thanks in advance, big hug!
Great video, but I nearly stopped within the first few minutes because of the portrait-format smartphone footage. iPhine user, by any chance...? 😜 Otherwise, a great video - and you were so damn lucky with the weather! We're off to Wales in late June, so this is timely and inspiring 👍😊
It was supposed to be like that! What’s your t got to do with iPhone? First bit was filmed for Insta (portrait) but I really liked it so chose to include it 👍
@@RichyVida Ah - I see! I have a pet hate of portrait video on YT - you get those blurred-out bars either side which is very distracting. But I see your problem: filming video for YT & Instagram presents a challenge. And I have noticed that iPhone users seem more prone to film video in portrait; I think that's a legacy from when iPhones could not easily shoot video in landscape. Subscribed now, so looking forward to more excellent videos 👍
Glad to hear Gaz again.
Good choice with the Owl's Nest 😃

Oh congratulations to the good lady! Yes, Bakewell, Monyash & Hartington are ❤️❤️
I’ve never ridden in Wales. Must go sometime. Reminded me of the highlands.
Ah it yet another fine piece of work RV! I traveled around them parts myself a few years ago! Beautiful part of the world!
Absolutely stunning scenery, great ride with some great mates.

Thank you Simon!

That was Mega mate , love those unplanned routes you find some right gems sometimes
Brilliant video. Long overdue a road trip in wales myself. 👍

Fast becoming one of my favourite, too! ❤️
Amazing vid Richy. Some beautiful and amazing roads around that part of the world. 😍
Nice to see you riding on my favourite route . Taken many a photo where you stopped on llyn brianne.
Great ride out lads 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow stunning scenery richy not bad weather either looking forward to the next vid 👍
Fabulous video Rich. South Wales really is a gem of a place to ride. Stunning!! Thank you👍

You should also try the Devil's Elbow. Not far from Llandovery with a huge, beautiful view if you go east to west 👍👍 Save it for next time.
Absolutely brilliant yet again, thanks for sharing.
i live about one hour from there rich never get fed up it great vid and thanks
wow what luck to run in to the Repsol HRC MotoGP team.
Love all those kind of roads. All that scenery that you get on them is a feast for the eyes 👍
Sure is pal. More this weekend 👍
Love a bit of Wales! Especially around Devil's Staircase area. Corking bits of road. Can't beat a good DSLR photo can you?!
Nope! 📷 👍

Wow very nice 👍👍👍
Always safety

So positive I wish I was there
Nice to see someone managed to do devils stair case with clear skys was so wet when i did it last lmao
Lovely place 👏🤜
Recon I spotted Marc Marquez and his Repsol Honda in the car park!🤪
I can only say a great episode. Great looking roads and great company.

Issue was power bank. Just spent all weekend with a different one, and - as always - didn’t take even 1% off the GoPro battery 👍
Great video 😊
Great vid. Where exactly were your digs? Great place to stay.
Nice ride Richy. One of these days you'll have to come to Oz and ride some wild roads.
I would bloody love to! Flinders! 😍

You are in God's pocket, most beautiful part of Wales, I thought it was a secret.
17:09 ❤
Did you have a support vehicle on the trip 😯
Nice vid mate, top dronage too,was the you doing a bit of noodling around 14:14 mins in ??
Ride Safe Mr B \m/
Rich , I have the same issue with Power Banks. I swapped out the leads aswel.... very odd.
Swapped PB, not dropped any battery all weekend 👍
Another great vid Richy. What exposure settings do you put on your DSLR to capture amazing pictures?
All depends on conditions. I always shoot 2 stops under exposed so it protects the highlights. Can lift shadows (to correct exposure) easily. 👍
first congratulations on the channel! I follow you here from Brazil and I'm a fan of your videos! I wanted to ask if you can provide a link to download the photo taken at 14:10? Thanks in advance, big hug!
email me; rich@wildbadtouring.com
Did you manage to sort the issue with the GoPro recording on the external battery pack? Have you tried recording without the battery inserted?
Yes, it was the powerbank. I tried my other one and it charges, as normal. Keeps battery almost 100% after a whole day of filming
@@RichyVida which power bank have you got that works?
Lovely looking cars 🚗…chav in the Ford Focus RS Red Edition though 🤭😂.
I thought I edited out the bit about “chavs”? Must’ve slipped through 😉
@@RichyVida didn’t show the bit before though 😂
The Wicklow Gap Richy....
Quality 🏍☀️👍👌
Gaz have a code brown at the end there?
Hahahaha
17:30....there's a man who's got to pee!
Why is it narrow screen at first? I thought phones could film in full screen…edited …ignore me you answered someone else
Was a bit filmed for Instagram (portrait) but I liked it enough to use for here 👍
@@RichyVida cheers - nice video
You must have been really hungry to want to eat at the owls nest🤮🤮
