    8:17 "learn the spacing where you can walk forward but still stay out of throw range"
    I highly recommend practicing this against Zangief since he has the longest reaching normal throw.
    Nothing hurts quite like getting the muscle memory down for a universal situation to then find out some characters are built different.
    Drilling shimmy's against an Alex dummy in SFV made my spacing foolproof - because if Alex can't reach out & scoop you with a normal throw, then no character in SFV can.
    Gief is that shimmy dummy for SF6.

    Chris your content is golden but I’m getting overwhelmed with the amount of things I need to remember and drills I need to do. Is there a way to prioritise things. Maybe a video compiling the important things in an order from your personal opinion so that I can always go back to that one video and kinda practice what’s in it before going on ranked. Hope that made sense. Great stuff, keep it up.

    Hey Chris, amazing video man!
    The delay normal to catch people out in the corner looks like a really strong option, just wondering how tight does you timing have to be? To be slow enough to block Dp but also fast enough to counter hit wakeup crmk, if I can get that timing right that's very strong but it seems like Dp is about 6 frames usually and crmk is usually about 7, or is there more to it that I am missing?

    • @Chris_F

    Hi Chris. Hope you can see this comment. I'm having a bit of a hard time being consistent with Super Art inputs with special cancel normals, or from specials that are not in the same general direction. I know this is unrelated to the video subject, but perhaps do you have any tips for this?
    I bounce between the ps5 dual edge controller and a hitbox, but I find both pretty tricky.
    I would say that my success rate is at 40% in real time matches.
    Let's use Ryu as a template, how would you:
    Input a level 3 from a light hashogeki?
    Input a level 1 or level 2 after ending your normal combo with standing MP (to end a round, do more damage, or maybe in burn out scenarios)?
    Maybe an video going over inputs might be good?

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The most important thing, IMO, is to fully commit to one controller. Bouncing between the two is going to cause you a lot of issues.
      I have quite a few leverless guides from about a year ago as well as some shorts on leverless for inputting supers, so check those out. If they still don’t help you, leave me another message and I’ll reply!

    I have done nothing but get worse and worse at the game this last few weeks. Shot through iron into bronze with a 9 win streak, beat a bunch of silvers, then started losing to iron 1 players over and over, this video couldn't have come in more clutch

      if you are in bronze then getting your bnb combo done and try your best to anti-air is more than enough.

      Come out to a livestream and I can take a look at a replay to help you out.
      But for your rank, blocking, anti-airing and getting a simple combo route down will help you tons

    I'm a cammy silver player, getting trapped by some diamond and most of master players on the corner, will try (i guess) the fwd jump instead of being massacred by the pressure in the corner. Also one particular high level player would ALWAYS (99% of the time) counter my over drive with a regular medium punch, then an OD (but in green colors "???" Bare with me I'm 3 days old to ranked matches on sf6 lol)

    I disagree with the first bad habit. Not that you're entirely wrong, but I think it misses the point in the light after jump heavy.
    You see, jump heavy is positive on block and hit. Meaning that the attacker always gets the first move. If your opponent blocks, you can go into a safe grab. As you have shown, it requires a bit of a delay or you whiff. A similar concept happens with the light. It also allows a bit of a delay because of how positive you are in frames.
    The point behind the two is that it is reactable. You can actually confirm the block or hit with a follow-up light starter. This is a default response for when you can't hit confirm the jump heavy. However, you should have a meaty in case you can actually hit confirm the jump heavy.
    This is the proper way to use frame data. Learning what is and isn't reactable is how you often beat a lot of mixups in SF6. It is also the correct method to your own optimal responses. Without reactions, every mixup is a guessing game. In a guessing game, who wins is often a coin flip.

    The third bad habit that you mentioned is not really a bad habit, it does work well against some characters who have really good crossup jump ins or have good corner escape options like Akuma H demon flip or M.Bison Shadow rise. But doing it too much can definitely make things predictable.

    • @azumashinobi1559
      @azumashinobi1559 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've actually seen top players commenting that this is a thing that good players do lol. It has nothing to do with reversals ofc it's because jumping out is so strong. Even if you cross cut dp someone who jumps over you they still got out and only took 10% for it which is imo better for the person who jumped out. I think ideally you go in and out and not get predictable like you said ofc.

    • @azumashinobi1559
      @azumashinobi1559 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thing is if you're keeping the corner and you're not taking damage you're in such an advantageous position it doesn't really matter if you aren't doing something IMMEDIATELY. I personally think keeping the corner and getting data is smarter than immediately going in and giving your opponent an opportunity to get out

    • @Chris_F
      @Chris_F  หลายเดือนก่อน

      This was more directed towards ppl who just walk back and freeze up. But yes, you’re right. As long as you have good defense and reactions simply waiting is a very valid and strong option
