I love the Raley's sticker on the PVC! Looks like a prototype that you will soon perfect and then sell by the millions. 😁
The Mythbusters once imploded a full-sized railroad car. Your first 2 buckets reminded me a little of that. I love the ingenuity you showed and you weren't afraid to show us your failures either. That shows the process of trial and error, working the problem out. Just like the Mythbusters.

Now that's a handy tool you made there. 👍
Someone commented here something about using a steel tank, and that is the only possible upgrade that comes to mind. ( I just don't like/trust PVC in use with petroleum products. ) But hey, if it works, ride it till the wheels fall off.
    Good job. 👏👏👏

Love it when customers interrupt videos. I always get calls when I record. Good try T-bone!

I did this with a hand vacuum pump and what I thought was a fairly stiff plastic bottle. I was able to extract the oil, but my bottle collapsed quite badly. It takes a pretty sturdy vessel to withstand a vacuum like this.

Yes, exactly. I learned the hard way also. I think I did 2 videos on this. One has my failures then finally successful. The one I made from PVC I use multiple times every work day. Been a year or so now and love it.

Got me one of those like FIL from Matco. A little note, don't suck gas with the harbor freight extractor or a Mityvac extractor. Fuel will damage the o rings and ruin it

I use a small Chinese fuel pump and power with a jump box for fuel extraction

Thanks for watching. This one is home made, no O-rings nothing to ever mess up.

I found a 1 gal. sprayer at Menards for $8 and the Plastic tank is very thick and does not inplode. I unsrcewd the spayer hose and left the fitting half on the tank and used clear flex tubing and it fit perfect in the fitting hole . i use that for the oil pick up. i guess i could have used the black tube from the spray valve . but the clear tube has a bigger ID . . Remember the bigger ID Tubing allows faster oil flow. as long as you can fit it in the engine tube. Now for vac I used a AC vac pump . and inseted the 1/4 tube where I unscrewd the Pump handle . I covered the threaded hole where the pump was with a tapered semi solid rubber where I drilled a 1/4 in. hole and inserted the vac line. WORKS. Srayer is solid and thick where it wont inpode and semi clear where you can see the amount of oil and I then cleaned it out filled it with SAE 75W-140 to refill my PTU What do You Think?

I just saw that someone used a Mason Jar and it worked perfect. By drilling 2 holes on the lid. But i'm afraid of my clumsiness and I'm ascking for trouble with Glass.

I don't know how strong that PVC is, but hopefully, it's schedule 40. Years ago, I tried to make a vacuum storage for some vacuum clamps. I modeled it after one I saw on TH-cam that used Schedule 40 pipe. I had 4 pipes linked together and ran the vacuum. I was standing in the middle of them when it imploded. Violently. I ended up with an 8 - or 9-inch chard in my leg. Up until then, I thought all CPVC pipe was schedule 40.

Ouch!! Yes it's schedule 40. I made this video a couple years ago and still use it every day in our mower shop. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend

Just lower your air pressure to 70psi at 90 psi your vacuum is -28” of mercury you only need -18”

Our shop air stays at 150 psi. The pvc one we made in the video works awesome for the last couple years.
